Rodgers' interview will go over well with those who already supported him, and poorly with those who were already bothered by his actions.

Nope, I think he's the best QB to ever play the game, but once you start spouting nonsense like the "woke mob" and "cancel culture casket" I lose a lot of respect for the man off the field. He sounded like every other anti-vax quack out there with the exception that he doesn't think the government is putting microchips in people.

Anyone with kids in school (at least in VA) understand CDC guidelines and Covid “mitigation” and mandatory quarantining is a joke.

Rodgers is a liberal of that there is no doubt.

Care to share the reasoning behind your views on that? I'm not sure either way, he seems to be liberal at times (when he condemned the fan who shouted out the anti-Muslim slur at a game) but then he seems SUPER conservative when you hear him talk about vaccines and "cancel culture" or the "woke mob".

By the way, nobody who gets to go on a show listened to by hundreds of thousands should be complaining about "cancel culture".

I have kids and I don't understand the joke. Perhaps you could explain the punchline? I'm just a simple man who listens to medical experts but perhaps your sources could better explain medical science to me than the CDC or my doctor?

Allergic reactions to COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are rare and usually mild, according to a study late last week in JAMA Network Open.
Stanford University researchers led the study of 22 reported allergic reactions to the first 38,895 doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines given to healthcare workers from Dec 18, 2020, to Jan 26, 2021 (less than six hundredths of a percent). Of all vaccinations, 80.6% were of the Pfizer vaccine, while 18.7% were of Moderna. The study population was 60% women, 64% White, 2% Black, 20% Asian, 16% younger than 50 years, and 54% aged 70 and older.
According to the national Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), the rate of severe vaccine-related anaphylaxis, or a serious allergic reaction that requires hospitalization, is 4.7 per million for the Pfizer vaccine and 2.5 per million for Moderna.

As a vaccinated healthcare worker, I have 10x more respect for Aaron Rodgers than I did this morning, this past summer and 5 years ago. Aaron Rodgers has used his platform for something that a high percentage of healthcare workers have wanted to voice for quite some time.

You would be surprised by the # of us that were pressured into getting a vaccine that quite frankly we have seen first hand is not necessarily doing what is being shared in the media. I by NO MEANS am an anti-vaxxer. I am someone who had the adult mumps because of anti-vaxxers and I resent that.

In the case of the COVID-19 vaccination, there is an uncomfortable amount of false reporting and most importantly hiding of critical truths regarding the vaccine. The entire healthcare system has been effected by politics when it comes to this vaccination. Important facts and studies have been hidden from people since the beginning of this pandemic. As one of the few females on this forum, I encourage you all talk to the under 40 ladies in your lives about the Moderna vaccine and see what side effects they have had. 80% of women that received the Modern vaccine are experiencing extreme menstrual side effects that are not being shared with the general public. Those that have suffered from Lyme disease and/or babisosis are having severe cases of pericarditis from the vaccine. This is real stuff and I commend Rodgers for using his platform to voice this kind of thing. It has turned completely political without a care for sharing the truth about personal health considerations.

Again, I have to reiterate that I am not an anti-vaxxer and I have been vaccinated. I am just sharing that there are real risks associated with the vaccine that are being hushed to push a political agenda. I do not agree with everything Rodgers said by any means, but his point about personal health concerns and the politics at play are spot on.

anyone who heard him explain that he is allergic to ingredients in the two mrna vaccines and the fact that the jnj vaccine was pulled off the market should now understand why he didn't get vaxxed. the cdc said do not get the mrna vaccines if you are allergic. and the cdc pulled the jnj vaccine from the market. rodgers was simply following the best advice available to him. i don't understand why people don't get that. and he has been following the nfl protocols all season. the nfl - as an organization - is just an effin joke imho.

Well, yeah, that's what I mean. People who already had a problem with him not being vaccinated and being deceitful about his status were going to be far from satisfied with the interview.

why? you believe that because he has opportunities to express himself publicly that he is not allowed to talk about certain subjects?

i happen to agree with him that the nfl has protocols for covid that make zero scientific sense and are designed to shame people who don't get the vaccine - even if they are allergic to it. or even if their religious beliefs prohibit it. the nfl is run by people who care about only one thing - money. they do not care eve a little bit about the health of their players.

So he passed on the J&J because it was briefly pulled in April while the FDA and CDC conducted a safety review, then lifted the recommended pause that same month, and then refused to take it before August. There's zero logic to this. If you're claiming the J&J vaccine isn't safe then you think the FDA and CDC are liars and I would then ecourage you to just take up voodoo and sacrifice a chicken to protect yourself from the microwave brain-rays the government is implanting us with.

and how does that study apply to a decision that he made months ago? rodgers may have some amazing abilities, but i'm pretty sure that time travel isn't one of them.

No, I think complaining about BEING CANCELED is ridiculous when you're on a platform that reaches hundreds of thousands. The NFL is run by people who establish rules, which many other players follow. Had Rodgers behaved like Lazard or the numerous other unvaxxed players then this wouldn't be an issue. Rodgers lied about a pretty important health and safety protocol (established not just for him but for others); but I get it, there are large portions of the public that don't care about others anymore.

Edit: I'm sure you disbelieve in some of the protocols making zero scientific sense because not all of them do; however, they DO make sense when you realize the NFL is making rules for people and people do really dumb stuff sometimes so occasionally rules have to be over the top to prevent people doing stupid stuff.

******** we're at the point we're people think Rogan is a staunch conservative. If you think that chances are you are so far left you probably need to take a step back and understand you are on the fringe

I never said he was a conservative, I just said that asking him for medical advice is not a checkmark in the Positive column for intelligence.

Rodgers didn't lie about anything to anybody that mattered. Fans are so funny, they think they're entitled to know everything. THe NFL and the TEAM an his teammates knew everything they needed to know. He was in unvaccinated protocol as a teammate and now that he tested positive.

If the fact he sidestepped a question he had zero obligation to answer in anyway is making you that upset, maybe you need to look inward?

I just listened to half of the show and I've had enough. It's fine that Rodgers didn't want to be vaccinated and had concerns about allergies and long term effects. I don't have a problem with that.

But he misled people when he said "Yeah, I'm immunized". And he admitted he did not follow every protocol for non-vaxxed people. Even if it's not based in science like he said, it was still a rule, so the Packers have a good chance of losing a draft pick because of it.

And what a big lie when he said "When Trump was championing the vaccines in 2020, every single member on the left said don't get the vaccine you'll die. Then when Biden won, they all flipped." That's one of the biggest lies I've ever heard.

I think he's far more right than left.
If it's any consolation he didn't like Trump. Btw we are talking Rogan not Rodgers. Correct?
That’s the problem with labels. He may have some “liberal” viewpoints…. but if you have watched several of these interviews with Mcafee… you will see that he, like most of us, is a complicated individual with opinions that span the whole gambit from left to right. Shoehorning someone into a label will always surprise you when they don’t act as you expect.
Well said. It's particularly scary how some even go as far as supporting people on their political lean.

I have to say if you really believe this, then you just don't know. I'd wager you don't work in any of this field or you would know. Like I said, our 2 most recent were under 40 and one was a 16 year old girl. I promise we don't serve 9 million people here. And that number isn't a total, it's just what walked thru recently. But heart holters on 16 year olds with zero history are normal...

and the Ortho with transmyelitis wasn't "severe" either because he wasn't hospitalized. According to VAERS...

Who cares if he misled people, the people that NEEDED to know knew. Sorry he didn’t feel the need to pander to those who would crucify him one way or the other.

It think you just proved his point about being attacked by woke or cancel culture mobs.

Just to clarify there anti vaxxers who are against all vaccines and there are those who are not against vaccines but have many questions unanswered and will not just take whatever the government tells them to--should be given a choice like the flu shot. Are we going to call everyone not taking the flu shot irresponsible?

Isn't it sad that you have an education and experience, but it pales in the face of the conditioned masses...

You have to qualify every statement as to not be pigeonholed by one of their labels so their conditioned brains can dismiss you. It's easier than confronting the fact that the only things they "know" are what they've been told.

People that haven't even had an anat and phys class so easily dismissing the opinion of one with that plus whole gamut of others in the health sciences. Renal phys, disease path, systems path, public health, Immuno, endocrine, etc has injected, euth'd and studied animal organs after innoculations etc. MORONS if they dare step outside the conditioned message. Just ask a few in here, they're very vocal.

I think it’s because the woke progressives are so extreme, intolerant, and hostile that anyone not in their camp feels like they’re all on one team against this hateful garbage.

But you’re right, Rogen is not a conservative at all. He’s been a vocal Bernie Sanders fan.

LOL just proves my point again how biased these people are that support this vaccine. They overlook the fact that he is the only one on that Covid list that is not vaccinated and yet want to vilify him for not taking the jab.
