I’m guessing he’s not as much an
That was never in question. He's angry with the pick, not with the kid and actually feels empathetic for him if anything. Rodgers will shield him from criticism if anything
im guessing he’s probably more resigned than angry. I’m also guessing he’ll treat Lover Boy with passive indifference because he probably believes his SB window in GB is officially closed

Why say anything when the sports media has the Packers' 2020 draft rated amoung or at the very bottom of the league? Monday will bring a new round of tirades on all the weekly sports shows.

Aaron can take the high ground by remaining silent.
I hope he does since not speaking is much more powerful and in the end also inconsequential

3) Speak with Mike Murphy and request a trade to a team that would align with his beliefs

I have no clue who this Mike Murphy guy is, but I doubt he can help Aaron out much ;)

Whenever I hear someone use the word "trade" in regards to the current situation of Aaron Rodgers, I just have to question how much they actually know about the business side of football. Not to sound "holier than though", but knowing some of the basics of how the cap works, seems to separate the very casual band wagon Packer fan from the ones who are more vested. So your "trade Rodgers" statement and the one below lead me to believe that you are more of a bandwagon fan, which there is nothing wrong with.

I didn’t even watch the NFC title game since I knew it would be a slaughter

Interesting. So you only watch Packer games where you are very sure of the outcome. Guessing you missed their run to the Super Bowl Victory back in 2010?

I’m not Aaron Rodgers so I will not presume to think I know what’s going on in his head. I’m sick and tired of the sports personalities trying to create drama so people will watch or read their crap.

I read yesterday that AR and Love had a phone conversation, Love said it went great and that Aaron is a great guy and was looking forward to working with him. Im guessing AR wont pull a Favre and give Love the cold shoulder treatment.

If anyone knows what position Love is in now it is Aaron Rodgers. I read somewhere well before this draft that if GB drafts a QB high AR said he will treat the kid better than Favre did towards him in the beginning.

I know how the cap works
I know the devastating repercussions it would have
I set it out as an option he could suggest to the team
That’s all
Maybe taking a cap hit would be better than putting up with a malcontent?
Maybe receiving compensation over having a thorn would be preferable?
You have no idea who I am so making comments about suggestion and hypocritical ideas is offbase

Why talk when you have teammates that have your back? Of course I’m sure this isn’t the type of thing that the gbgary’s of the world care to acknowledge.

This is why I don't buy this notion that Rodgers is a bad teammate. Is he demanding and can be difficult, yes, because he is committed to excellence. What he expects out of his teammates is nothing he wouldn't expect out of him.

Rodgers is not going to mail it in because GB didn’t take a WR in the first round...

He’s not going to mail it in because GB took a QB to develop to replace him when he’s staring 40 in the eye

I’m no huge Aaron Rodgers fan, I don’t think he’s anywhere near the LEADER or FOOTBALL player Favre was, but I don’t see him as being chickenshite either

They brought in Funchess, Sternberger is back, the guys Rodgers fawned all over last year have had a year to develope

Whatever kind of season the NFL holds this year GB has a legit shot at the playoffs and then they have to get hot... exactly like they did in ‘10. That’s the NFL today.

In a couple 3 years Rodgers AND the Packers will have a decision to make. If Rodger’s performance continues as it has been the last several years it’ll be an easy one for the Packers. If he resurrects his performance level, it’ll be more complicated IF Love is showing development.

As Rodgers himself would say.... R-E-L-A-X

I don't think you do understand how the Cap works, if you are suggesting trading Rodgers solves anything. Also, Rodgers coming to the Packers and asking for a trade probably makes things worse and does not change the cap hit.

Do you know what the Cap hit would be if the Packers traded Rodgers? How about $51,148,000. Even split between 2 seasons, that is a lot of cap. Tell me how you plan on doing that part of the trade, I am listening.

No, you are right, I do not know who you are. Nor do you know who Aaron Rodgers is, yet you choose to call him a malcontent. I am not judging you as a person, rather I am telling you that your notion of trading Rodgers makes me think that you really don't fully understand the business side of football. So throwing out these ideas of "just trade the malcontent" are asinine. Take that as a personal insult if you wish, but it was only questioning your knowledge of the situation that you seem content to offer suggestions on how it should be handled by the Packers but get offended when someone asks you how you plan on doing what you suggest.

All possible....we’ll see....I’d say it’s less than even money for making the playoffs based on the holes weve not addressed and the significant moves the fringe NFC teams made in the last days / months.
Like all things injuries and chemistry will play deciding factors

Well you first need to read what I wrote before flailing....
What I said was three directions Rodgers could go.
1)Play hard
2)Mail it in
3)Put a gun to the teams head

#3 is insane but if he wanted to be or threaten to be a malcontent it would be an option.

I never made any mention of what the Packers should or shouldn’t do since they already did both tie them to AR financially and play their hand over the past few years on their 180 changing philosophy.
READ.....
I take no offense since I dont really care what other people say since I’m very comfortable in my own skin.
Forums are about expressing opinions, venting frustrations, offering ideas , and sometimes having a little fun but many use it as a platform to attempt to try to prove (usually unsuccessfully) their intellect and knowledge which again is usually lacking
Lighten up buttercup....Be a fan.... there are allot of more pressing things going on these days.... be well
PS.....$20 Packers finish 3rd

Ah yes, sorry that I took the following to think that you were suggesting that a trade was a possibility. My bad. Carry on and I will stop commenting on your suggestions.

All good my man
Keep on commenting.....it keeps the blood flowing!!!!
BTW.... I worked in and around professional sports for over 25 years so I know how it works
The biggest thing in play now is team chemistry and the stuff between the ears.... and AR will make that decision ... and the Packer organization moves don’t bode well for a positive outcome

The Vikings fans are on these sites trolling. They are the ones posting the "funny" reactions. That being said. Its not AR"s business to comment on Gutes disasterous draft. He needd to keep his mouth shut. Its not hos job to mentor Jordan Love. The Packers do pay a qb coach for a reason. Given Love"s slow release, not sure AR can do much for him anyway. Love is a read option qb. AR is silent because he now knows the Packers wont get him the talent to ever win another Super Bowl. He's probably angry and knows shooting off his mouth makes it more difficult to get out of Green Bay by asking his agent to renegotiate his contract. The less AR says, the better it is.

I'm more worried about Tim Boyle. Has anyone heard from him? Checked the hospital? Looked on ledges?

This whole notion of "Why hasn't Aaron Rodgers given us any bait to troll on", is kind of hilarious. No matter what he says or doesn't say, the media and fans that seem to need his comments will just twist them in whatever preconceived way that they view Rodgers. I'm starting to remember why Favre got so tired of all the chatter around him.

I'd love it if he released one statement, via social media/Shefter/NFL Network/ESPN everywhere and it was:

"R....E....L....A....X"

Oh my word I would love it....LOVE.....LOVE.....LOVE it!

Excuse me pointing this out but you have mentioned on a few occasions now you worked around professional sport for over 25 years so you apparently know how it works ? I was a hospital porter in my early life, and drove an ambulance for a few years. That doesn`t make me a brain surgeon, so please, it`s not that important in the big scheme of things. You are entitled to your opinions but so are others.
