Why are you still RESPONDING to a Bears fan here?!?
I am answering questions posed to me in this thread. If you don’t like it I’m sure there’s a setting where you can put all of my comments on ignore…..so why don’t you go ahead and do that and save us all the time and trouble.
I’ve demonstrated that I’m here to talk football and not just be a troll like “longtime fan” and others say I am.

If you can’t handle a little friendly banter and an opposing viewpoint…..I don’t know what to tell ya bubby.
Try some Midol or the ignore settings like I suggested.

You’re just a little late with the whole “why are you even talking on a Packers forum” deal.

I’m not going anywhere and I’ll be here till week 22 or 23 whichever one that is the Super Bowl.
Want to bet you won't be here then?

I'll give you good odds

I’ve come here bc I figured, like myself, y’all might be tired of arguing/debating with people that have the same blinders on that I do.

Case in point….everyone here convincing themselves that it’s better to have three or four average wide receivers than one really good number one receiver, bc one of the four will put up legit numbers.
I need to give you a fist pump..you still are here.

I truly thought you would have disappeared with how confident you were da Bears would win the SB

Takes a lot of balls to stick around

But da Bears still suck

I'm a man of my word. I hope that's the worst anybody could ever say about me.
Honestly, I don't know what I would do with myself. If y'all didn't exist it must've been like this for all the Cold War warriors from our side when the big red team folded.

There is nothing wrong with having optimism for a team. And when things go south out of nowhere none of us should celebrate your remorse. I can recall the Packers getting pushed around by the Vikings in the 70s and the Bears in the 80s. Think of the Lions today. They have not won a championship in 70 years and were rarely even competitive over all those decades. They have the prominence of being one of the 0-16 teams. But you keep playing. Think of the Cubs! 108 years! Poor Tinkers, Evers, and Chance up there waiting for nearly eternity.

Good point. The Bearz suck, and will until further notice, but gotta give some props to Caleb for sticking around long after his Bears-SB-Win prediction went by the wayside - and that Caleb Williams would be OROTY, league MVP, and SB MVP.

Nothing wrong with thinking big after all.

Exactly and no one can deny that if it weren't for a few catastrophic breakdowns and some really really bad luck we could easily be eight and four maybe even nine and three but if I'm completely honest with myself, I rather be nine and three with Eberflus is the coach or four and where we are but with Eberflus gone I'll take option B because if Eberflus was going to continue to be our head coach, even if we survived and won some of those games Just like the Eness was going to come and get us and maybe it was going to be in an even more heartbreaking scenario than the ones we've already endured as hard as that is to imagine .

I think it's fine to be optimistic, and you may even have reason to be. But to expect to win the Super Bowl in your QB's rookie year seems pretty far fetched. Has that ever even happened in NFL history?

I believe Dan Marino took his dolphins to the Super Bowl his rookie season and Rothlisberger took the Steelers to the AFC championship game. I believe that's the farthest any rookie has taken their team.

And let's be honest again if you're honest with yourself, say all the bad luck, horrific decisions and everything instead of going against the Bears had gone for the Bears kind of like it has for Minnesota this whole season if we at this moment right now were nine and three with two out of three wins over our division opponents. Would you not think the Bears a Dangerous team come playoff time Time?

No.

6 have made it as far as the Conference Championship

Purdy, M Sanchez, Flacco, Roethlisberger, Shaun King, Pat Haden and Dieter Brock. Warner and Brady won as 1st year starters but Warner was undrafted the prior year and Brady drafted the prior year so not rookies.

I believe Marino got to the Super Bowl in his second season, not his first.

Sure, I think they'd be dangerous. I think right now though, they're still in the process of learning to win.
There's absolutely no way on God's green earth like I could disagree with with that statement, but getting rid of Eberflus is 2/3 of the problem so we're already well on our way.

yep, that's it. I think y'all for the correction.

It's also kind of a rather ask for forgiveness than permission type situation if I ended up being right, I got to look like a freaking genius and since it worked out the way it's worked out.
I still don't think I look like an absolute clown for being optimistic because.... honestly......who could imagine that their head coach was so inept and Retated that he would watch 32 seconds at the end of a game to just tick and tock and watch the remaining time off the clock(haha it rhymes)and not do anything.

Future is very bright for da Bears. Williams is a lot to work with and should attract all the top HC candidates. They have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball. And they have a high draft pick this next draft.

What you just described is addition by subtraction. It happens a lot in football because so many coaches get promoted past their level of competence. Sometimes a head coach is bailed out by great coordinators (just think of Buddy Ryan) but Eberflus didn't have that to prop him up.

I think Williams will be good. He has tools.

But the nail polish. Bish please
It's either that his mom owned the nail salon or once upon a time worked at one but that when he was very young, he grew up around that environment and so to me that doesn't make it weird at all because he's been getting manicures since he was 10.
Hey different strokes for different folks, right

The Bearz's record doesn't reflect the season they've had. I think 8-4 or 9-3 is too much of a stretch. 6-6 is more like it. FWIW they should have beaten the Packers. That was probably the worst game the Packers played all year. But the blocked FG, horrible clock mgmt against the Lions, and a chance to win in OT against the queens - well three games like that against quality opponents is not a coincidence.

And Eberflus should not have started the season. The Bearz knew they had the #1 pick and that would have been time to make a change starting with HC.

The McCaskey family has had too much say in operations for too many years. Like the Packers in the early 90s, they need a guy like Bob Harlan to run the place. That's not likely to happen in Chicago.

Finally, I'm not impressed with Poles. He's had enough time as well. Finish the season and clean house in January. Too much talent to let it go to waste.

Nothing wrong with a guy getting a pedicure, maybe even a manicure now and then - but for chrissakes hold the nail polish. And who doesn't like a good foot massage? C'mon it's the 21st century.

I must admit that my toenails must be trimmed with a bolt cutter. Hey, it's the same price.

I can live with nail polish.... just no dresses. Some of the outfits these pro athletes call "fashion" ninja please. Can Newton and Westbrook come to mind as a couple of guys whose choices are out there brother.
