I've already seen massive amounts of confusion and such with the offseason and future discussions starting for many, despite playoffs still coming.

So I wanted to provide the current roster as we head out of 2025 and into 2026. I've clustered the roster by positional groups as listed on many sites, and then I list their LAST contracted year. If any note is needed it is tacked on AFTER that. First rounders listed date is with the club option, referred to as the fifth year option picked up.

QBs
Love - 2028
Willis - 2025

RBs
Jacobs - 2027
Brooks - 2025 *it's odd many sites report one year deal but others show a contract in place for 2025 as well. Either way low level cost player for us.
Lloyd - 2027
Wilson - 2024 and a ERFA this offseason.
Dillon - 2024 and a UFA this offseason.

TEs

Kraft - 2026
Musgrave - 2026
Sims - 2025
Davis - 2024 and a UFA this offseason
Fitzpatrick - 2024 and a RFA

WRs

Watson - 2025 *IF he is on PUP the entire 2025 season, since it is his last year of his contract, that will toll his contract over and 2026 would be his last year. Look up PUP list contract tolling and you'll find it in the second article I believe of the current CBA.
Doubs - 2025
Reed - 2026
Wicks - 2026
Heath - 2025
Melton - 2024 and a ERFA this offseason.

OLs

Tom - 2025
Dillard - 2024 and a UFA this offseason
Glover - 2027
Walker - 2025
Telfort - 2024 and a ERFA
Jenkins - 2026
Morgan - 2028 (fifth year option)
Rhyan - 2025
Myers - 2024 and a UFA this offseason
Monk - 2027

DL/DEs
Clark - 2027
Wyatt - 2026 (fifth year option)
Brooks - 2026
Slaton - 2024 and a UFA this offseason
Gary - 2027
LVN - 2027 (fifth year option)
Wooden - 2026
Enagbare - 2025
Cox - 2025

LBs
Quay - 2026 (fifth year)
Cooper - 2027
Wilson - 2024 and UFA this offseason
McDuffie - 2024 and UFA this offseason

Hopper - 2027
Mosby - ERFA

CBs
Alexander - 2026
Nixon - 2026
Stokes - 2024 and a UFA this offseason
Valentine - 2026
Ballentine - 2024 and a UFA this offseason
Rochell - 2024 and a UFA this offseason

S

McKinney - 2027
Bullard - 2027
Williams - 2027
Oladapo - 2027
Anderson - 2024 and a UFA this offseason

STs
Whelan - 2024 and a ERFA this offseason
McManus - 2024 and a UFA this offseason

Orzech - 2025

Practice Squad would all be up as well...notables to some maybe are Kalen King CB, Donovan Jennings OG, Sean Clifford QB, Julian Hicks WR, Michael Barrett LB, Kamal Hadden CB,

From purely a body perspective one position has a massive glaring body needs:

CB - only three under contract past this year, with one being Jaire.

That's the best news of all. The position that needs to be re-made the most has the most expiring contracts! It would be best if Jaire was in that group too, as I think that he is done - likely after next season.

The only big signings we need to make for our core players is Slayton and both of our kickers. Slayton deserves a good deal and both* of our kickers need to be locked up. * I asterisked both, because I think that we need to see if Whelan pulls out of his cold-season slump.

We will make a splash in the FA market for CBs.

BTW - you're missing the Linebackers group.

Crap...amending to add the linebackers - knew I'd miss something.

All good. This is great. I had a feeling that we were going to have some openings at LB. Wilson and McDuffie have been decent backups. However, I think that the Packers will choose one of them to come back (likely Wilson) and then bring in a free agent to fight for the starting spot. We need Quay to either step up or step aside.

I also think we see a Day 3 LB added to the mix to combat for depth...love to see a lunch pale type guy similar to McDuffie replace him that we might squeeze more out of...a Jack Kiser type from Notre Dame or a few others will be there.

Agreed. Find a young buck at LB that will make an impact on special teams and be just as serviceable with possibly more upside than what we currently have on hand.

This is all great @tynimiller i like seeing it laid out like that thank you!

Im being aggressive. Im offering both Alexander and Stokes restructure and offer around $20Mil annual for the pair. I’m secretly wanting to move on altogether and prefer they say no, but it’s an area I’d feel comfortable for the pair. It’s +$5.4 added to our overage without losing either. Plus I’d push about another $5Mil of that average salary for annual cap savings for 2025 into 2026.
That $10 reduction in current cap # savings would justify me going after a premier FA Edge or Pass Rusher/iDL that can change the dynamics of our Defense single handily. One that competes with Kenny or Rashan for NEW Alpha Dog. I’d apply another additional -$10-15Mil to that $10M and spend up to $25Mil yearly to get a dominant DL going.

If Stokes and J’aire are retained, I’d go after a #20 overall CB or Safety. I mean a Cooper DeJean type that will transform our secondary. If J’aire plays he’s merely a bonus. That’s the type of D we need to be thinking about.

On the back we’d have
CB Shevon Revel Jr (#20 overall)
CB J’aire Alexander
CB Erik Stokes
CB Carrington Valentine
CB Keisean Nixon
CB Corey Ballentine
Saf Xavier McKinney
Saf Evan Williams
Saf Kitan Oladapo
Etc. (Plan B put $17.5M towards a young stud veteran FA CB and go draft a second CB in Day2)

Retain LB Eric Wilson
Add with another Early Day 3
4th Round iLB added as McDuff successor.
Walker, Cooper, Wilson,
Hopper, 4th Round Draftee.

Then I’d go Draft a WR using #52 in some capacity. Possibly moving up into the later 40’s. Go get a Dynamic Elic Ayomanor (1,000+ Freshman season) from the Stanford Cardinals.

You must be logged in to see this image or video!

Then Draft at OC/OG once more at #84 overall.

The sad part about Clark is that he failed to live up to the contract they gave him. We need someone who can step into that spot if he's become a fat cat who doesn't want to do the dirty work any longer. It could be an off year for him, but we need that push up the gut. I have mixed emotions on Stokes to be honest. There was so much that he had to offer before he was injured. If there's a glimmer of hope he can get it back, I'd offer an incentive laced contract to have him stick around. If he took it, he'd be saying he intends laying down some good work. Alexander is a conundrum. Is he injury prone? If he isn't, and they cut him loose, they've made a mistake. Once again, a contract heavy in incentives so he can prove he's got it. In both their cases, make the incentives so lucrative that they're going to push themselves to get them.

We definitely need a lock down CB that is able to step in as soon as he hits camp. Someone good enough to pressure both Alexander and Stokes. Someone who will bring the best out of them, and force them to make it happen, or pack it in. That would be someone who'd be a very early pick I'd think. We're not in that select group I'm afraid, unless there's a rush on other positions.

Despite all the praise for Walker and Myers on our offensive line, I think both of them need to be replaced. It doesn't necessarily mean both need to go before next season. But I would be finding someone who can play center better than Myers before they invest in a huge contract for him since he's a free agent when this season ends. Someone is going to offer him way too much, seeing way too much in what he does out there. That makes my two priorities a lockdown CB and a plug and play center. Now, one of them could also come through free agency, if we don't overspend on guys who we have now, and over value. D.J. Reed comes to mind at CB. He's plug and play just like McKinney. Ronnie Staley is going to be available at OT. Ronnie plays LT, so it's a real option. But he'd be costly. Biggest drawback is that he's 30. Don't touch Ward out of SF at CB. He played this year like Stokes. Rasul Douglas coming back? He's a good CB. He's 30. It would be his last contract, but he was a good one in GB. I hated seeing him go the first time. Carlton Davis is a solid CB. He's the guy who makes the Lions defense tick. He's 28, and I think the Lions will lock him down. Might be out of range when it comes to price.

If I'm the GM, I watch how I handle the cap and find enough money in the budget to grab two of the 3 positional needs in free agency and fill the 3rd in our first or second round of the draft. You fill these needs, and add some additional inside depth on the DL, and you're going to make your team a lot more competitive.

But, this is all just conjecture.
