I didn't mean an established ready for day 1 player.
I meant a guy who was an established college corner on the outside. A guy who played there for multiple seasons and is used to it.
CB, pass rushing OLB, a DE who can rush the passer, more speed at WR, TE, offensive line depth, possibly RB.
In short way too many problems to be addressed through draft and develop.
We need depth at Guard and TightEnd. Have to find our runningback in this draft unless Lacy wants to play for a Million for a year, but even if he does we need to draft RB. We need a big monster on our Dline. Also a mean **** with sideline 2 sideline speed to play ILB. Then we need a corner that can play press and be step to step with WR, better yet we need 2 corners like that.
It may not be the #1 priority, but I disagree that Dline isn't a need area. If you could add on a player like Jones or Campbell, you do it. Getting more of a pass rush from your down lineman would be huge.
Pundits and fans lament this every year. They base it on mock drafts, articles, and their own opinions. It's not like GM's do mock drafts amongst themselves to get draft value of players. No, they talk to players, watch a hell of a lot of game tape, attend workouts, talk to previous coaches. You know, research and try to best fit several hundred potential candidates. Some players go earlier because they may rate them higher and want them before their next pick comes up.TT will probably reach and take a guy he can get in the second or third. He does it every year.

ETA: I have no intention of trying to defend the draft position of BJ Sanders a decade and a half ago.
Jones or Campbell would eat up a lot of cap space better used at cornerback and outside linebacker this offseason though.
Then get creative with the cap; cut dead weight, turn salaries into signing bonuses, etc; this team (or it's fans) seem to have a lot of excuses as to why things can't be done.
Turning salaries of several players into signing bonuses is a recipe for disaster with the cap within a short period of time.
Just checked out on article on www.foxsports.com about the 'impact' free agent players for 2017' team by team.
Noticed they don't have Chandler Jones (Cards) on the list. Anyone hear of him signing an extension?
I am wondering if Lang gets handed his hat this year. Move Spriggs or Tretter in their and Tretter would cost far less. Just a thought.Lane Taylor has turned out to be a bargain but unfortunately only a 2 year bargain. With his contract up at the end of next year, TT is going to have to really think about Lang and Tretter and how much he wants invested in the OL.
Depends on what they want to do with that savings.....sign a shut down FA CB or OLB? I might be in favor of that, as long as Spriggs/Tretter are capable. But if they are going to weaken the OL and its depth and then roll the savings into 2018 (AKA Josh Sitton), I am not on board with it.I am wondering if Lang gets handed his hat this year.
