That match turned into a real donnybrook....
A really exciting match to watch. The announcer literally choked when that Chile blunder happened

O.K., we won the U21 Euro Championship and the Confed Cup with our B-Team.
Let's face it and how did Franz Beckenbauer say after winning the 1990 Championship: "I am sorry for the rest of the world but we will be unbeatable for years now."
We have the Gold Cup Final tonight. Let's see if the USA can win it all while mostly fielding the B Team.
Well Arena brought in quite a few of his A team players for the last match. We shall see who he starts tonight.
3 to be exact.
This time Scotland is going to make it to the playoffs and with a little luck even to Russia. I believe......yes they can...GROUP F in UEFA just became a gut check for 2nd place.
England - 20 pts
Slovakia - 15 pts
Slovenia - 14 pts
Scotland - 14 pts
All with 2 games left both being played in early October. Going to be exciting to see who finishes 2nd.
USA only on 4 behind Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama.....Panama ! Seriously?Germany need 1 point to qualify.
USA still making it ******* themselves, but at least got a point this round.

I wonder if it was a mistake to sack Klinsi ? Looks like he wasnt that bad ?
He wasn't bad. Gulati... the head of US Soccer needs to go.

Burley is a bit of a muppet but he does come up with some good stuff now and again.Did you see Craig Burley's response on ESPNFC? Something to the effect of "Ok then, Germany will send over their C-team which just beat the top team in your group at the Confed Cup."
For a country where (Soccer - Football) isn't the number one sport they have a very good qualifying record, think Mexico 86 was their last non apperance at a World Cup.Thats hard to understand how a team like USA isn‘t able to grab at least that needed point to qualify against trinidad & Tobago.
Its not as if it had been an away game against Brazil, Chile or Argentina.
I still believe that the US team can do better than that but I wonder if Arenas was the right decision after having fired Klinsmann prematurely?
When was the last time they didnt qualify?
