People always make excuses for Rodgers:
* He never had home field advantage in the playoffs. Well, he got it the past 2 seasons.
* He had home field advantage in the playoffs, but there were hardly any fans in the stadium because of covid restrictions. Well, not this season.
* He had home field advantage in the playoffs, but the temperature was above freezing against Tampa Bay! Well, he got the 10 degree game last night.
* His defense always let him down. Well, the D gave up only 6 points last night!
Don't try to blame special teams for the loss. You can't blame people for performing the same way that they always perform. Special teams sucked ALL YEAR, so it should be no surprise that they sucked last night. We all knew Rodgers would need to do enough to compensate for special teams.
The shocking thing is that Rodgers, the MVP for 2 straight seasons, could only lead the team to 10 points. If you told everyone on this forum before the game that the Packers would only give up 13 points, most people would probably bet their house and life savings that the Packers would win. Only 10 points with the Great Aaron Rodgers is unthinkable. He deserves most of the blame.
