Watching him drop touchdown passes make me respect Jordy Quality of play even more. The crazy thing jordy is getting stronger and faster. Soon we will be seeing them quick slants taken to the house again haha.

Jordy has dropped a fair amount of tds in his career including a couple this year and in the Super Bowl

The criticism has been warranted and deserved. He's shown a lot of improvement and good things this season, but the inconsistency is maddening. Three dropped TD passes the last two games is evidence of that.
And as other posters have pointed out , his best work is against #2 or 3 DB's. I read a scout's take on him earlier this season saying he can end up as an excellent #3, a good to above average #2, but wouldn't want him as a #1.

Be it as it may, but I would be willing to wager that #1 He doesn't get cut and # 2 will probably get a hefty contract extension.

I'd agree with #1, but will withhold judgement on how hefty his extension(I think he'll get offered one) will be.

Dropping passes is just something that happens to receivers. Now if they drop say 20 in a row it would be a serious concern. I'm sure even Don Hutson dropped a pass from time to time.

Actually Nelson has picked up his game over the last few weeks. He looks more fluid, he's not dropping balls as in the early games, he's making tough catches he wasn't making. He's on schedule post-ACL.

Jordy continues to improve, but still not a lot of YAC. That will come; his improvement in health is coming along on schedule, and with his work ethic, not a guy I worry about.

At least some things never change.
At a certain point a sufficient body of work has accumulated to make a firm assessment. That point was reached on Capers a couple of years ago. So, yeah, "fire Capers" is not going to change.

Is Trevor Davis still in the dog house for muffing that punt ?
That certainly has kept him off the game day roster. But it looks like Allison has passed Davis on the depth chart on the merits of WR utility alone because Allison also doesn't play on special teams. Allison looks like the #4 for the balance of this season, Janis gets on the game day roster for ST, and Davis doesn't dress.

Yes I agree he has had his share but in the same breathe Jordy TD ratio vs drops uhhh ill take it.
I would say Nelson has dropped more balls this year than Adams. Adams, unfortunately, has done it in the end zone in recent weeks.

I see some posters are pining for James Jones as though he would be some kind of upgrade over Adams, one presumes. That's a guy who couldn't find a job this year and probably wouldn't have found one above #5 receiver at minimum play last year but for the Packers familiarity and desperation.

"You don't know what you've got when it's gone" can cut both ways. In this Adams illustrates Jones deficiencies in the comparison.

Oh don't get me wrong im not saying bring someone in for adams. Adams has shown he has the juice to play in the NFL. He can beat man coverage he can jump high as heck and he does catch touchdowns also. It seems like when he's on Jordy's off and when jordy's off he's on. People keep saying jordy dropped balls this year. Jordy been out of football over a year with a injury. It takes time to get in the swing of things with an injury like jordy had. In a post couple of weeks ago I said adams was the best receiver the pack have at the moment but now jordy getting his groove back he's showing why he get the balls he's been thrown.

I'm still amazed at the expectations that fans have for a third year WR. Not every player can be Mike Evans, OBJ, Julio Jones or AJ Green. Many WRs take time to become great. Jordy Nelson didn't break 600 yards receiving until his fourth year in the NFL and Adams has a very real chance to crack 1,000 yards in his third season. Yes, it's on almost twice the targets that Nelson had in his third year but the fact remains that Adams is about where most third year receivers are when it comes to development. Give the guy a chance to continue improving. There's absolutely zero reason to cut the guy since the team would save, what, $1.2mm? Good luck finding a decent receiver for that amount.

I am so happy for the kid. He had a brutal season last year and watching him bounce back the way he has gives me confidence this young man is only going to get better and better. His release off the line is night and day when compared to last year. Yes, he does drop a few balls including a few gimmes the last few games but he has done enough the rest of the season to make up for it. He sounds like a different cat all together. Last year he was getting in his own head and beating himself up to the point where his performance suffered. This season he seems to have more mental toughness which has translated to significantly better performances. If he can keep things rolling into the playoffs combined with Jordy's return to form, Cobb getting healthy enough to make an impact and Geronimo getting more comfortable...look out. The offense we have seen this past few months is the one we all envisioned before the year started and will prove to be one tough out come postseason. Excited for Adams and his future in G and G! G P G!

Lots of guys who you didn't name have been cut. What in the world do AR and Crosby have to do with Davante?

Also I don't think anyone has been calling for Davante to be cut recently unless I missed it.

I'm not pining by any stretch of the imagination. I was just thinking that Adams seems to lose focus which was a problem that James had. If Adams can watch the ball into his hands then IMO he'll have more catches.
