What happened was that Hogan and Dorsett were our top 2 WRs through weeks 1-4, and Michel got off to a slow start. It's no surprise that once Edelman returned and we acquired Gordon, our offense started averaging 36 PPG.
I wasn't impressed with what I saw from the Patriots offense in Buffalo. Settling for field goals...Brady threw a pass that was dropped for a pick at the goal line....just not impressive at all.

Luckily, Brady won't be playing a defense that is anywhere near as good as Buffalo's. He will also be playing at home.

Most efficient quarterback? By what metric?

I'm not seeing how opponents have had trouble defending him when you are only averaging 25 PPG and are 3-3-1. Seems to me like most of your opponents haven't had much trouble with your offense.
Would you prefer that we reference his all time best passer rating by 4 full percentage points (the only quarterback that's over 100 for his career)? Or his all time best touchdown to interception ratio of 4.13 to 1 which is a full touchdown better than the next closest quarterback?

I would rather you discuss his, and the entire offense's, performance this season, since that's the only thing that matters for this particular match up.

One poster says he's the most efficient quarterback in the history of the NFL. You then follow up by asking by what metric. I give you the statistics, and because you don't like the answer you're going to act like you didn't ask the question or don't care about it. LOL.

The Packers just played a team with many more offensive weapons than the Patriots, and did a great job. Gronk is a shell of his former self. Their coverage is going be better with Williams at safety over Haha. The Pats offense is far from scary. If the Packers get pressure it’s game over since Brady can’t move.

We were literally discussing his performance this season, and the person said that opponents have had trouble defending him because he has been the most efficient QB in the history of the league. Of course I'm going to assume he was referring to his 2018 season being the most efficient of any QB in the history of the league. If he was referring to career stats, then that has absolutely nothing to do with anything being discussed here.

I'm going to literally discuss what he's done in the game this coming Sunday night because that's all that matters really, or you can pick any data point in time and make a case. LOL

Your LBs can't cover, and unlike your offense, we actually attack LBs in coverage, be it with RBs or with WRs using mesh concepts. This is a horrendous match up for your team all around.

And here I was thinking that the captain made himself very clear. I guess you're the only one on the forum who thought he was referring to this season. :roflmao:

All week long, they've been pushing the Rodgers vs Brady story. I've come to a conclusion: For some people, the only thing that really matters is how many championships a quarterback wins, and those people will never accept Rodgers as GOAT unless he starts winning more Lombardis quick.

And I'm not even saying they're wrong. It's a team sport, and I don't think it's the ONLY factor that should be considered, but:
How many players are considered GOAT at their position without holding multiple championships?
And how much value is there in being the GOAT, if you don't have the championships to show for it? That would seem to indicate there was a lot of potential left on the table.
I wonder if Rodgers' comments about Brady were a bit of a chide at the Packers administration ("He has five championships, that ends most discussions"? I'm not suggesting there is a split there, but I'm sure Rodgers feels frustrated at times.

This game to me will decide if we make the playoffs or not. A win here and next week vs Miami isn't out of question. 5-3-1 will look pretty good going into Seattle in 2 weeks.

which is why Pettine's favorite alignment seems to swap out one of the LBers for another strong safety. 6-7 DBs is not that rare this year.

This game isn’t all that important. We need 1 win in the next 4 against somebody, and we need to beat MN.

This game would be nice, especially considering we squandered a good effort last week, but really good team on the road in the AFC, it’s not really a season defining game.

I disagree my friend. When you're 3-3-1 they all matter.

Whether we win or lose, if we win 1 obthe others and win at MN everything this team needs to accomplish is ahead of them. If we win this one and 2 more of the next 4 and lose to MN, our post season aspirations take a serious hit.

I’d like to win it, but it’s not a season definer

They are called Bart Starr fans :D:D:D:D:D

Just kidding...sort of. Many packer fans cite Starr's championships when determining the best QB in Packer history so why should it be any different with Brady. For the record I disagree with using championships as the main determining factor as football is a team sport like you said, but it is one of the factors.

I think Rodgers' comments were a sign of respect towards Brady just as Brady's comments were a sign of respect towards Rodgers. Both players probably think they are better than the other but are not childish enough to come out and say it. Especially when there are legitimate arguments for each one as well as a few others. Its a pointless argument best left for fans and the media. I would lose some respect for any player who came out and said "I'm better than him" when there are good arguments for both sides.

I want to win this game for the sole purpose that I live in NE and I hate NE fans. I do not hate the New England Patriots, I hate their fans that more often than not, struggle to come up with a single weakness of their team. Case and point TB125xSB winner. He is every Patriots fan in my geographic region. It’s like talking to a parrot. They repeat the same nonesense over and over without taking a step back and realizing they are a very beatable football team.

You're fooling yourself if you believe that to be true.
You're overrating Haha if you don't believe that to be true. Haha has a tendency to blow coverages. You can't have those types of mental errors on a championship team. I trust Williams will not have these mental errors.
