Looks like we’re on plan with Rodgers vs. Wilson Rodgers Sais he could see himself Zooming around the field ….he feels so good with anticipation and excitement.. that for a sec he thought he was inoculated.:ninja:

Nonsense. Having had COVID is not a substitute for getting vaccinated. He was worried about side effects from the vaccines (the allergy thing is not very believable), but was happy to take ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine?! Give me a break.

I for one am hopeful Rodgers can play. All of the drama aside - he gives us the best chance to win. I think Love has potential but he's not ready to be a full time starter.

Rodgers is going to play. This "slight" chance he doesn't is nonsense. 12 is suiting up. Should be a fun one. It is supposed to be in the mid 30's, so the Seahags are going to want to head right back to the West Coast as soon as they step off the plane. I'm more interested in seeing Bakh out there. GPG!

I hope he plays too, but I think there are a few specific medical hurdles he has to clear first. Can't remember if body temp. is one of them. Will be interesting to hear if the NFL is scrutinizing whatever that procedure is or not. I suppose to be consistent, they will do what they have done with all the other players in the protocol.

  • The COVID-19 protocol agreed upon by the NFL and NFL Players Association allows unvaccinated players to return from their 10-day quarantine as long as they are asymptomatic.
  • Those players do not have to test negative for COVID before returning because the virus’ antibodies can remain in a person’s system long after they are no longer contagious. Medical professionals describe this as “viral shedding.”
  • Rodgers must gain clearance from the team doctors. Cardiac screening is no longer required by the NFL. However, the Packers' doctors will require Rodgers to go through a three-day physical ramp-up period, which is allowed to start before the end of the 10-day quarantine window.
  • If the team doctors are satisfied with Rodgers’ physical condition when they see him, he will receive the green light to play on Sunday against Seattle.

I cannot see a situation where Rodgers does not play.

I wonder how strict the NFL can be with "If the team doctors are satisfied with Rodgers’ physical condition when they see him, he will receive the green light to play"

Sounds so general. Guessing he had to start the 3 day physical ramp-up period on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I saw that with Bakh. Sounds like he's a little way off from being ready to play. We need him on the field. Saw where Stokes is questionable. At least there's a good chance we'll have Stokes and Bakh out there when we play the Rams. That's a boost on both sides of the ball.

Agreed. I think we win by 7 with Rodgers playing, and lose by 7 if it's Love at the helm. This isn't an indictment against Love. He's still learning the game. Next year? Who knows. I think we can expect to find out just how good he is.

Hard to find out how good he is without a decent O-line. Just watch last week's game and week 1...the best QB of all-time (video game style) would serioisly struggle to find a way to win

No doubt about it. The line is a major factor in how good he'd look. With experience comes the knowledge to make throws sooner than sometimes anticipated, when the rush dictates it needs to happen. Most of that comes with experience, and familiarity with the people you're throwing to, and that comes through game experience, not a run through in shorts and t-shirts.

We were beat this past Sunday simply because the opponents recognized that a newbie at QB would be less effective the more they put the heat on him. It worked. Yet, to Love's credit, he did not play that badly. He showed some signs that he could be a decent QB when he's ready. Hopefully, next year.

You can bet your bippie that as long as Love is learning, the heat will be coming, until he learns how to neutralize it. We just need to be very patient. No sense tearing our hair out. For some, that's a short step. I still have mine. ;)

I definitely agree with you it's not about questioning his abilities since he only played one time thus far but, we do need Rod out there as much as we can since he has been playing hot so far.

btw...welcome.

Thanks!

Agree on Rodgers playing. He's playing his best game to insure there's a nice check on the table for him next year, no matter where it is, or I believe he'll ride off into the sunset. But, at this point, I don't think retirement is the #1 priority in his mind.

No matter what any of us think of him, Rodgers is one of the best QBs we've ever seen, if not the best, in Green Bay. I've seen 73 of them start over my lifetime, and to me, he's the best. Favre was a little too reckless to be the best of all in my view, and Bart Starr, the ultimate field general, was probably the most balanced when it came to playing within his talent level, and by far, the best representative of the team outside the chalk lines.

But, that's all just my opinion.

Welcome aboard. Most here are very friendly and accommodating. A few might try to **** in your cornflakes, just like out in the real world.
Thanks! I appreciate it. Most do seem the friendly sort. Like everywhere else on earth and the internet, there's a few that should spend their time on the front porch playing a banjo, instead of posting.

No doubt...when I watch Rod you just know he will come through majority of the times with his talent. favre on the other hand was by far the most "erratic but fun to watch" type qb and boy did he have an arm.
