Lots of players look good right now and this is always the time of year where fluff pieces are in abundance but its definitely comforting to hear how good Gary has looked.

Hopefully he can make people me look like fools when the games start

I expect them to struggle at times, but not be completely inept. There is some stability on the Oline and enough vets at QB, WR, RB to make plays enough to win any or all of those first 5 games.

I think one thing that bodes well is Aaron Rodgers I'd rather be going into a new system with him at the helm than most other QBs in the league even if some people think he is over rated (Im looking at you Bucky Brooks)

There will be some miscues and miscommunications at times but like you said I think there is enough established talent to make it look very good at other times.

Kudos to Lancaster. Before a 2 man blocking sleds drill, he stood explaining the technique to new DL sapulolo before their run.

No clear leader for OLBs. Maybe Frack or ZSmith. Used to be Matthew's keeping tempo and everyone going. He was like another coach.

Clark, Lancaster stood out in DL.

Mostly saw DL and OLBs. Saw some offense and DBs do 11 on 11. WR Davis did well with Kizer.

Aaron Jones made great diving catch in endzone. Bobbled it but must have caught it. I thought he dropped, but other WRs were high 5ing him after.

Keke did not look like a rookie. Seemed to be really going at it.

I dont like all the music. I would think it messes up concentration on learning. But the practice was more uptempo than under MM. Guys running to drills.

No clear leader on DL with Daniel's gone. May be Lancaster believe it or not. Lowry as well. Clark is fairly quiet. I was right next to DL for about 10 mins. Damn music or I would have heard conversation.

Pass rush drill Gary looked very good. Clark was tossing guys around like rag dolls. I think he looks quicker and stronger. Should have a big year.

Love the positive stuff Amish but there must have been a few players or plays that made you cringe. How about equal time for some of the not so impressive things.

fair enough

Backup kicker missed 3 of 3 that I saw. And missed by a lot. Hit the camera pole on 1 attempt.

OL didnt look good. I expected better. Bahk did well. Others got pushed around. Couldnt see their numbers so not sure who.

4th QB missed accuracy drill by 10' on 1/2 of his attempts. Every attempt by AR and Kizer were within a foot if they missed. Not surprised if cut soon.

People should expect a struggling offense this early. It’s a new offense and day 3 of camp. It’s not going to be a finished product even when October hits
I don't expect the Offense to struggle from the get go as long as the O line is OK. I expect to score more points than the bears.

Sounds like Davante Adams is absolutely burning Jaire Alexander in camp. The fact that a young CB is lining up against a WR that many veteran CB’s around the league consider the best WR in the game, I think will elevate his game tenfold. Also hearing Hollman, Green and Gary have been surprises.
Offensively, I’m hearing Trevor Davis, Kumerow, Moore and Dexter Williams have been impressive.
This division is going to be an absolute blood bath and I can’t wait to watch it go down! Little over a month till football friends!

What did you hear about Moore? I heard he caught a good TD pass. Did you hear more?

According to Andy Herman his route running has been very crisp and he is being aggressive at 50/50 balls. He said it’s appears to be one of the biggest improvements from last season, as well as, Trevor Davis and Robert Tonyan.

you could have said that about him last year too. He looked like our best WR early on outside of Adams. Very crisp, quick, did everything he needed to do, almost. If he's catching those 50/50 balls and the other ones too, he could be really good.

oh absolutely. totally expected. it's the learning curve that's been spoken about. that's one reason the first 5 games are so daunting. 0-5 would be effectively kill the season. got to get most of it ironed out in the preseason.
You admit this, yet still think this season is the best last chance for the Packers. Again, all over the place. :sneaky:

I think his route running has always been great. Just hasn't hung on to the ball. If that does not change...keep Kumrow and let him go. That was the reason (I think) that he lasted so long in the draft to begin with.

i'm not all over the place. i've predicted 8-8, 9-7 for this season (and 10-6 if everything goes perfect). but i think it IS their best last-chance...and it's a long shot. but they're going for it in spending, in staff and front office changes. but no matter how they do this season the next couple of years could very well be worse due to cap and probable talent loss because of it. after this year if they've hit on every draft pick and no one gets hurt (two miracles) and rodgers is an mvp (unlikely) then they could be a...decent playoff team maybe...and that's if all the good teams above them turn to crap. don't hold your breath though. i'll happily be wrong and eat crow if i am.

Actually the OL was doing very well its just that the DL was incredible. That's the spin I'm going to put on it.
As you pointed out, i tend to be overy focused on the optimistic side. Not seeing numbers well, It could be ZSmith vrs street FA OT. But damn, you should have seen Clark throw a OC to the ground. Half of crowd cheered the other half was like, sheesh, that had to hurt.

He shouldn’t have done that to our Offensive Coordinator! I’m really mad at Clark this is atrocious. Next thing he’ll throw our DC into the crowd! We have to stop this throwing Coordinators around before someone gets really hurt.

Ok....I’m good now :whistling:

The Packers don't have a lot of free agents they absolutely need to re-sign next offseason (Martinez being the most prominent one). While they need to find a replacement for Bulaga at right tackle the team should at least be able to field a competitive team in 2020 as well.

As a side note, the team will definitely win more than 10 games if Rodgers performs at an MVP level, something I believe is far more probable than you want to make us think.

Can’t you just upload right from your computer? Drag, drop and chose thumbnail or full size?

Hey @Shaggy can we get the Gallery turned back on?
I use TinyPic. Imgur is also used quite a bit.

Maybe that's part of the reason for the music. The tempo is one thing but it may also intentionally prevent fans/media/other teams from hearing what is being discussed.

I heard John Elway talk about their new coach and practices. He said something along the lines of 'Thank goodness there is no more music during practices.' He may be more old school, but his notion was that there is no music during the games so why practice for games with music on.
