I don't see it as a completely bad move if Brady is saying he wants to keep playing. No way could they pay JG the kind of money he would be asking, to be a back-up. It was either get something for him now or get a lessor comp pick when they let him walk. Definitely a big risk though for a SB team, try to improve by 30 or so spots in the draft and risk depth. If Brady gets hurt and Hoyer can't carry the team, it will do down as one of the greedier stupid moves in a while. I don't think losing Brady and replacing him with JG would have been nearly the drop off the Packers saw with #12 to #7......but Hoyer might be a similar drop in play.
