The right one is from Germany, isnt it? Did you bring it with you after your last trip?

Tonights research in the interest of science......obviously !!
Poachers Choice is a great name. I like the top label... "Beer with a rich and fruity plumage".
Innis & Gunn... I'm not real impressed with their beers, but I'm also not a big fan of barrel-aged beers.
Fuller's Wild River Double hopped Pale Ale.... I NEED TO TRY THAT!
Out of interest, What is Austrian beer if any, like ? German style beers ?
This answers requires some history because the Vienna-style Lager is somewhat rare in continental Europe.
The classic Vienna-style lager is an amber (colored) Lager which uses pils malt and Vienna malt. Vienna malt is a toasted malt, giving it a slight "burnt bread" flavor depending on how long the malt was toasted. In the late 19th century, Austrian brewers migrated to Mexico, and they kept the Vienna-style lager alive, which is what Dos Equis Amber and Negra Modelo are.
American examples of Vienna-style lager are Yuengling Lager (a favorite of @Croak), Sam Adams Boston Lager, and Great Lakes Elliot Ness Lager.
In Vienna today, the style is not brewed much, however, there are more breweries in Germany who have kept the style alive in continental Europe.

Now to the current Austrian brewing. Yes, you are correct, Austria brews a lot of German style beer.... Pils, Weizen, Helles, Bock, Dark Lager. Some of the Austrian brewers have recently branched out and are brewing American-style beers as well, like pale ale, IPA, American-style Barleywines.... etc.
Thank you ! BTW, The Wild River wasn`t THAT nice for my taste. A bit too hoppy.

After much experimentation, I've settled on my 5 all time favourites. In no particular order:
Guiness - Ireland
Stella Artois - Belgium
Tiger - Singapore
Tsingtao - China
Corona - Spain
Beers, I have a unmitigated hatred for:
Heineken
Budweiser

These guys all know that Guinness is my favorite. When my wife tried to serve beer to the old folks at the retirement home they said; "Don't give us any of that "Mexican sh*t", referring to Corona.

Yeah, welcome to Beer Sport. Heine and Bud are complete crap. Stella and Guiness I like as well.
That Innes and Gunn oak aged beer was bloody tasty indeed. I even bought a few more just to make certain
Stella is called "Wife Beater" in my neck of the woods !!
A Dutch friend once told me "the Dutch would wash their cars in that Belgian p**s !"
I went and bought one last night. It actually was better than I remember. But I am still not a huge fan of barrel aged beers.
Haha... I say I like Stella, but its just ok. If it's the best beer in a particular bar, it's not a good bar... haha.
Tonight's blessing....
