I think the thing is, the vikes have avg QBing. What we have is not a QB of half Rodgers's talent. We have a QB playing right now who is the exact polar opposite. And I mean exact polar opposite. I swear he'd never so much as even make it in the CFL. I stand by my case that Hundley is worse than Graham Harrell.

This team reminds me of the Packers at the end of the Dan Devine era. Dispirited, woefully undertalented and more committed to keping jobs than winning. Bennett bailed because he compared a winning organization in NE to the toxic culture in GB. What other franchise would continuously reward failure like the Pakers. Cant think of any other team where Capers could trot crappy defenses for 7 years and still be safe in his job. What other team just unravels from injuries nearly every year likely due to a parhetically easy practice regimin. Bulaga and Baktiari sign big contracts and then turn into the poster child for fat lazy athletes. Bennet didn't waste much time

They have wasted 5 years of Rodgers career with a crap defense. Thompson should go, Capers should be long gone, the special teams coach should be fired and they conditioning coach should be fired. They built a house of cards and now we are all paying for their stupidity. start signing free agents like everyone else especially since your draft picks have sucked

Lol, sorry but I gotta agree with the funny rating in this post. I agree the front office needs change and I think a lot can be done to minimize or at least get a plan ready for injuries. But calling Green Bay a toxic culture? I take it you've never been there before. Now ... on a day like today, I wouldn't expect all the fans in Lambeau to enjoy the game without beer. But I can tell you over the last 30 some years or so, Green Bay has been anything but toxic. People who say we're fostering a toxic culture here really don't know what that is.

And sorry but no, Martellus Bennet has been nothing but a journeyman TE for his whole career for good reason.

And yet Bennet has a chance to get (another) ring this year....

Rodgers career is being wasted much as Favre's was

One and done....

I said it at the time, backing into that Super Bowl was a blessing and a curse. Always a great thing to win a title. But it cemented TT and MM in Green Bay for the remainder of Rodgers useful career (which may well be cut short).

Will Mark Murphy have the balls to make the changes necessary? Based on past performance, the answer seems probably not.

As the third wheel maybe, but hardly as the cause

My problem though is that I feel TT is starting to rival Mike Brown the Bengals owner as a cheapskate. It's one thing to be fairly conscious about what you do with your salary cap and know how to find the UDFAs and all, but another to go all cheapo like he is and cheap out so bad you got a dumpster fire in at QB. Top of half of the league in unused cap space ... can be good when your team is winning but in a year like this ... inexcusable.

Playoff 8 years in a row was it?

I just wonder what this season would have been like if rodgers, Montgomery, bulaga, bahk didn't get injured.

Clark going down is a nasty problem.... I have a feeling injured reserve for him.

I'm not sure how much it's going to matter until they figure out why these injuries keep happening. This has gone on for nearly the entirety of Mike McCarthy's tenure.

Now I'm not saying injuries were the reason for this performance; this defense would've been shredded at full health. But it's hard to watch these games anymore because I'm just hoping another one doesn't bite the dust.

Injuries are a league wide problem. Every team has many many injuries and the league must address this.

You don't get rid of both TT and DC. You cannot identify the source of a problem unless you isolate variables. If you get rid of both and the defense improves, you don't know which was the problem. My gut tells me it's DC. TT has drafted fine offensively. Bad DC + good players = bad defense. The prudent course is to replace DC, give the new guy two years and if there is no improvement, then you look at your scouting staff and possibly TT.

I think coaching as far as teaching the right techniques and stuff has gotten bad. Players aren't being conditioned well enough either to absorb hits the way they should. Back about 15 years ago I'd see guys take a number of hits and be able to get up just fine. Now ... I don't know if it's simply the CBA no longer allowing player on player tackling practices? Or a just a shortage of stamina and body building techniques period. But I feel since the CBA was revised in 2011, it did more harm than good to the game.

We don't have that kind of time. I understand that its just one game but we had zero points today and your not going to win any games not scoring. In fact other then the first drive we weren't even close to scoring. What does that have to do with the DC? I don't know why people think this team is so talented. I mean I guess I did a few years ago but I eventually had to admit I was wrong and come to the hard truth that TT is a big big part of the problem . I understand people wanting to be loyal to TT but why can some people not see that this roster isn't as talented as most teams from 2-53?

TT is the GM. This whole circus that is going on right now is ultimately his responsibility. The game has passed TT as it eventually does to everyone. It is time to get someone new and fresh with more modern concepts and ideas. This whole operation is stale and just removing Capers wont by itself fix this mess.[/QUOTE]

Did you completely miss the part where we lost the best football player on the planet 5 weeks ago? You can pick ANY offense in the NFL and Hundley would suck just as much. You don't get rid of a GM because of the ineptitude of your backup QB. Get some perspective already.

I wanted TT gone way before this point. I wanted him gone after last season. If you go back to my old posts I saw this coming. I didn't have Rodgers getting hurt but I chalked this whole season up as "too little too late". Also, Hundley being the back up and still being the back up is on TT for your information. You gain some perspective, Our whole operation is stale and were a joke without the best player on the planet. This isn't a knee jerk reaction, I have been watching TT fail at building the roster for years now. The real perspective here is were a pile of sh+t without Aaron Rodgers,

So who deserves culpability for spending a draft pick on Hundley?
