There have been a lot of negative posts written lately - shoot, I've written some of them. But if Hundley runs off five straight wins or something like that, we're going to feel awfully silly, aren't we?

Not likely, admittedly.

I take it he's gone? I sent me some drivel in a PM, but I couldn't send him a laughing emoticon. I assume because he no longer has an account?

Legal action is Not possible as this is a privately own forum.

Jeez,

I only went away for a few days.

That escalated quickly.

So... I posted approximately a year ago that I was going to back off taking football and specifically our Packers so seriously.

I actually don't stress this team anymore. I'm ready for a regime change, top to bottom, but I don't fume or take it personally anymore.

I enjoy this forum and talking/ discussing the what ifs, but I damn it, go find a hobby. The Bucks are entertaining so far, the Badgers are on a great rip...

Treat the rest of this season as you would preseason, bc anything that happens from now through Xmas is meaningless.

i might get spotty at best QB play every weekend, but dang it's refreshing to see a defense just get after it on Saturday's at least.

I can only assume alcohol was involved at some point as his rants were incoherant most of the time.

I actually never thought we would flirt with the idea of having just 2 QB's on the active roster after the last collarbone incident. If you would've told me at the end of our 8-7-1 season that we would revert to just 2 (or even flirt with one through waivers on the PS) I wouldn't have taken that bet. What keeps coming back through my mind is the philosophy of Ron Wolf, in that you want to draft a QB in more years than not, even when your primary QB is not near retirement. There is a reason for this and bolstering our QB depth is a primary component.
The QB position depth is vital to the overall success of a teams performance and this is a major mistake on the GM side of the equation. I guess that's just another chalk mark in the "against" column in the "For or Against" reasons to keep or let TT go.

I'm absolutely fine with the Packers only having two quarterbacks on the active roster carrying a third one on the practice squad.

Now ... Is McCarthy the sole authority on Capers staying? There again I'm not going to speculate on what I don't know. If he is, then perhaps he does deserve heavier criticism for not being willing to drop him and get a younger better guy for the job. If it's Ted Thompson or somebody else up there, then I'd say it's they who need to come under heavy fire.

While Thompson might have some input on McCarthy's decisions it seems to me the head coach is in charge of retaining or firing coordinators.

To be fair (for those who are in the "try something different" corner), Ted did take a somewhat different approach this last offseason. I saw this as an encouraging sign. I'm just afraid that since he got burned with this Bennett situation, it might make him more hesitant to go after free agents in the future.

Hopefully that isn't the Packers problem going forward next offseason anymore.

Whats the problem? There is nothing wrong what Buggybill said. All he wanted was you to find some citations. I am not sure how that indicates a personal attack?

He asked for deletion - don't argue with him.

I would just say, one thing I'll give him some credit for is a few defensive signings in Woodson and Peppers, so perhaps if he focuses on looking for good ones there, things will be alright. What he's failing bad at is recognizing keepers on offense and letting them walk for bums. That's what's gotten the heat turned up on him lately.

It certainly appears TT and MM whiffed on their evaluation of Hundley.

As far as the team as a whole though, every team with QB play this poor would look bad.

I wish I could agree with you, but Teddy isn't going anywhere until he retires because there's no one at the top to crack the whip. Mark Murphy is a beta male cuck.
You should keep your fantasies to yourself. Have some couth.

Well if TT can't find a QB who plays MM's type of offense, we had better find a GM who can.

Hey Teddy, the Vikings have lost Teddy B and Sam B over the course of the last two years. They then trade their one time franchise back. They have weathered every move. Your thoughts???
