Mar 11, 2015 at 6:12 AM - tynimiller: I think they'd have to beat Pack by a milion or million and a half due to their rebuilding not going towards rings
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:13 AM - Vrill: Packers are set to win the Super Bowl next season. That has to weigh on Tramons mind.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:16 AM - Vrill: I want us to re-sign Williams, Guion and Raji....add an ILB via FA and call it a day until the draft.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:16 AM - 7thFloorRA: Brandon Browner is also in NO which is good news
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:17 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Keep in mind.....Williams is from.....Houma, LA Ask Hawk about going back home to family, that means more to some then $$
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:19 AM - 7thFloorRA: Hawk got evicted from GB though. He had to find a new home...which was his old home.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:20 AM - Pokerbrat2000: lol...true on the eviction notice. But playing for your "hometown team" and being with family can mean a lot to some.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:22 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I'm LOL at the thread started about the Packers drafting Melvin Gordan in the first round.....talking about "thread suicide". I mean I like Melvin.....but really ? Way too many other needs
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:25 AM - 7thFloorRA: there are 2 badgers on the roster already. the melvin talk is outrageous.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:29 AM - tynimiller: I truly think Williams wants to play for a ring. His after season interview showed me the fire is there big time...it'd take a lot of money, not just hometown discount I think to make him not take a fair 2 year deal in GB
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:29 AM - tynimiller: Oh and the Gordon thread is incredible...I didn't think one would top the Andre Johnson thread post-cobb signing.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:31 AM - sjb12681: Im still mulling my "trade up for Mariota" thread... Stay tuned...
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:35 AM - tynimiller: BAHAHAHA :p
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:35 AM - tynimiller: I got a bridge as leverage and trade bait ;)
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:38 AM - sjb12681: And a tower... BTW, still waiting on the Money Order you promised as payment on delivery...
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:44 AM - tynimiller: Tell ya what we draft Melvin Gordon I'll pay up.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:47 AM - Vrill: now watch us draft Melvin Gordon just to spite you :( LOL
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:51 AM - tynimiller: Crap...that would suck....unless it is in the 4th round ;)
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:53 AM - Pokerbrat2000: LOL....again, I'm a HUGE Melvin fan....but we have too many other needs for that pick.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:54 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I still have his breakout game saved, was the Big 10 championship against Nebraska, the Badgers blew them out, but Melvin's potential lit it up that night
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:55 AM - sjb12681: ^^^^ yes, as am I, but there would be no logic in this, unless we planned to flip him during the draft to another team and wanted to make sure it wasnt the Bears, Vikings, or Lions getting him later
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:56 AM - tynimiller: Shut up...if he was there in the 4th we'd have to take him :) (gonna go start a thread on it)
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:56 AM - Pokerbrat2000: LOL..... *tosses Tyn a helmet* you are going to need it buddy!
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:57 AM - tynimiller: Coach...I can't get my helmet on coach... :D
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:57 AM - Pokerbrat2000: OK AJ
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:58 AM - Pokerbrat2000: sadly I am going to miss seeing Hawk's helmet flying off
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:59 AM - tynimiller: No kidding....dude was a good solid guy...sadly only could play the run...and even then not athletically.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:59 AM - tynimiller: If Hawk had athletic skills dude would have been best LB ever...guy overcame the fact he lacked any raw skill. Heart now that he had.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:00 AM - Pokerbrat2000: His only downfall was being drafted so high with so many expectations, not his fault. He gave it his all on the field.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:02 AM - Pokerbrat2000: So only thing for TT to do today is sign Williams, Willfork and an ILB and we can coast to the draft
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:03 AM - Carl: Bleacher Report has an article saying the Seahwaks now have what it takes to go undefeated....
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:03 AM - Pokerbrat2000: LOL.....they still don't have an offense...IMO
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:05 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Graham was a great addition and Russel is a good QB......but not great. SeaShmucks are still top tier but undefeated? nahhhh
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:09 AM - tynimiller: I don't care what they do so long as they are o-1 or 1-1 in the playoffs :)
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:11 AM - Carl: Doesn't matter they lost a pro bowl center, some defensive pieces, and have no 1st round pick...Graham somehow makes up for all of that and so much more...

Mar 11, 2015 at 7:11 AM - Pokerbrat2000: remember...we FINALLY get the SeaVultures at home this year, so that is one loss for them that I am counting on
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:15 AM - tynimiller: Well...need this day to heat up a touch news wise. Anyone think we'll sign D Harris (RB) back cheap if no one picks him up?
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:20 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I'm thinking no, we need someone more productive on special teams filling that 3rd RB position. Would rather see a rookie get that spot.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:22 AM - Pokerbrat2000: when was the last time we had someone on Kick offs that was a threat to take it to the house? Desmond Howard?
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:24 AM - 7thFloorRA: I think they let him go cheap. He wasn't even offered the low tender.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:24 AM - tynimiller: On Kick Offs....hmmm...I nearly thought Franklin was a possibility but yeah bonafide threat I think Howard was last.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:24 AM - tynimiller: 7th...we'll see, I just don't think anyone will give him much if anything near the low tender.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:27 AM - Pokerbrat2000: don't forget about Rajon Neal.....he looked good last year before getting hurt
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:29 AM - tynimiller: I fully back and support Neal. I think he could potentially be a great 3rd back on our roster.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:29 AM - 7thFloorRA: I don't think its a money issue with him its a we don't want you anymore issue. he didn't even suit up towards the end of the season.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:30 AM - tynimiller: ^^What happens when you have a good block FB that can fill in as a HB or singleback in a pinch and our LB issues meant a 4th RB on gameday just wasn't needed.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:37 AM - Pokerbrat2000: we talking about Kuhn?
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:39 AM - 7thFloorRA: DuJuan. Kuhn will probably be back for his typical 1 mil 1 year deal. He is rodgers personal protector when the line has an injury
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:40 AM - Pokerbrat2000: with the Packer offense, unless there is an injury.....the 3rd HB really isn't necessary
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:42 AM - tynimiller: Yeah I was talking bout Dujuan. Poker I agree which is why I bet we keep Neal or a like back handy aka practice squad just for those incase injury chances happen. Only way I think we start seeing 3 true HBs on gameday rosters is if one proves he can start as a KR
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:52 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I think the shocker of FA for the Packers (fans) would be Kuhn signing elsewhere. He is like that old wrench in the toolbox, you expect him to be there
Mar 11, 2015 at 8:04 AM - tynimiller: I honestly wish we didn't owe Neal 2Million in bonuses this year...Peppers made him not as valuable
Mar 11, 2015 at 8:12 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Personally, I like Neal and think this being a contract year for him, he is going to put it all out on the field in hopes of an even bigger contract in 2016.
Mar 11, 2015 at 8:19 AM - tynimiller: I hope...and honestly could see it play out that way.
Mar 11, 2015 at 8:19 AM - Packman Chant: I really liked Devon on our team...
Mar 11, 2015 at 8:24 AM - tynimiller: Move along Packman...ship is already anchored elsewhere :)
Mar 11, 2015 at 8:45 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: And it's never coming back from the Sunshine State
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:11 AM - Packman Chant: Sad sad sad....
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:11 AM - Packman Chant: Good thing I'm a hell of a swimmer
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:13 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Well at least it isn't Bulaga or Cobb you are having to swim after...House will be missed for depth, but not for the money saved by letting him go
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:15 AM - tynimiller: ^^Amen.
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:20 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I felt the same way when James Jones signed with the Raiders, but we made do and saved $11.3 million. The "House savings" is even bigger
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:28 AM - Packman Chant: Tis true.
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:29 AM - Packman Chant: He's actually from the same area as me and I knew a friend of his so I always was happy to have him on the team. I biased haha.
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:32 AM - greenandgold: I bet Jones was sorryy he went to Oakland.
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:35 AM - tynimiller: I still miss JJ a ton. Dude was class all the way.
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:36 AM - tynimiller: Honestly, I doubt it plays out but I bet you when James's contract is up, he's gonna hope like heck GB is thin on WRs. Bet he would love to come back albeit at the end of Rodgers prime most likely and his as well.
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:37 AM - Pokerbrat2000: *hands Tyn a beer* after the Melvin Gordon "rant" LOL
Mar 11, 2015 at 9:37 AM - tynimiller: **Drinking it now...** Thanks brother, that was good and cold.
Mar 11, 2015 at 10:10 AM - tynimiller: I almost feel bad for Eli....almost. Sometimes education must take place for fans.

Mar 11, 2015 at 10:15 AM - Pokerbrat2000: agreed......and someone needs to learn when to throw in the towel on a crazy idea
Mar 11, 2015 at 10:16 AM - Pokerbrat2000: just saw Wilfork is visiting the Texans and not the Packers..... :(
Mar 11, 2015 at 10:19 AM - Cheesehead625: Damn! Just saw Dan Williams to the Raiders most likely
Mar 11, 2015 at 10:20 AM - Cheesehead625: didn't expect it, but it would have been nice
Mar 11, 2015 at 10:42 AM - tynimiller: Now how do comp picks work...Hawk being cut would mean zero could come from any contract of his correct?
Mar 11, 2015 at 10:54 AM - Narveson: http://overthecap.com/projecting-the-compensatory-draft-picks-for-2015/
Mar 11, 2015 at 10:59 AM - Narveson: Here's the basics. Study cause there WILL be a test later. http://overthecap.com/basics-methodology-projecting-compensatory-draft-picks-2015-beyond
Mar 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM - 7thFloorRA: No comp pick if you are cut or non tendered. House will bring a nice comp pick because of the stupid money they gave him. Tramon will as well if he leaves.
Mar 11, 2015 at 11:10 AM - 7thFloorRA: What is going on with Tramon. He must have a number from the Saints and is giving TT an opportunity to match it. Usually these things get done during your visit.
Mar 11, 2015 at 11:22 AM - tynimiller: ^^would be my guess. TT this is what they'll do "X amount" TT needs to go well Tramon we will give you "X-10-20% but a chance to win a freaking Super Bowl"
Mar 11, 2015 at 12:12 PM - Cheesehead625: HAHAHA Tramon talking with the vikes
Mar 11, 2015 at 12:16 PM - Pokerbrat2000: He should be talking to the Bears.....Cutler has always been accurate with his pitches to Packer DB's
Mar 11, 2015 at 1:46 PM - Joe2887: Packers have roughly $23m cap space. Maybe a wilfork signing for a year or a browner contract if cheap.
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:25 PM - Vrill: If Tramon left New Orleans without a contract, that means hes coming back here I bet....thoughts?
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:42 PM - Pokerbrat2000: well it only means he is still unsigned......but may be waiting on Packers best offer or another teams
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:42 PM - sjb12681: ehhh... possible. never like seeing our guys talking to the bikes, stops usually end there
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:43 PM - rodell330: No it doesn't..hes probably waiting to see if a better situation money wise parents itself.
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:44 PM - longtimefan: Why can't it be the saints just didn't want him?
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:44 PM - rodell330: Presents*
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:44 PM - rodell330: I do t think that's it...
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:44 PM - rodell330: Don't
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:46 PM - longtimefan: Before anyone gets bent out of shape anomut da not visiting.. Did any one know peppers was? I know for fact there have been fa that visited and it was hush hush
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:46 PM - Uncle Rico: Wouldn't have had him down there if they werent interested
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:48 PM - longtimefan: Of course interested but doesn't mean he gets an offer
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:52 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I don't think teams are lining up for Tramon.....at 31, he's in the last part of his career, isn't really playing at the top of his game and there are still better options out there at that kind of money
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:53 PM - Vrill: Which is why I think he'll be back here at our asking price.
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:55 PM - Pokerbrat2000: He has to know that there is more job security here in GB, he knows the system, coaches, etc. But as we all know, money can be a big lure over all
Mar 11, 2015 at 2:57 PM - Vrill: We did offer him a 2 year 8 million dollar deal...that is a fair contract and pretty close to what he is wanting...or close enough anyway.
Mar 11, 2015 at 3:41 PM - Vrill: Raiders are making some good moves. Their defense has great potential headed into next season.
Mar 11, 2015 at 4:49 PM - Cheesehead625: http://fantasynews.cbssports.com/fa...interested-in-wr-percy-harvin?FTAG=YHF7e3228e
Mar 11, 2015 at 4:49 PM - Cheesehead625: not going to happen, but would be interesting
Mar 11, 2015 at 4:56 PM - Vrill: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/source...nd-raiders-show-interest-in-rb-202931024.html
Mar 11, 2015 at 4:57 PM - Vrill: Dallas lowballed Murray...ouch. Now Sam Bradford, his former OU teammate is recruiting Murray to Philly......Murray to the Eagles would be a swift kick to Jones' nuts, thats for sure.........
Mar 11, 2015 at 5:04 PM - Vrill: TE Jordan Cameron will not return to the #browns I'm told. #saints and #dolphins very interested.
Mar 11, 2015 at 5:04 PM - Vrill: ^ Per some Browns reporter twitter

Mar 11, 2015 at 5:38 PM - Vrill: DeMarco Murray's decision will come TONIGHT (via @RapSheet): http://t.co/kktSgCEyf3 pic.twitter.com/KPK5NR3GNd — NFL Now (@NFLNow) March 12, 2015
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:03 PM - Vltrophy: raiders haven't done much in FA
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:18 PM - sjb12681: maybe we can get Murray, then we can not worry about getting Melvin Gordon at #30 and focus in a real need in the draft, like trading up for a qb to take over for aaron
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:18 PM - sjb12681: I'm hearing real interest in mariota...
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:24 PM - 7thFloorRA: Has tramon still not made a decision?
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:39 PM - rodell330: Nope but I'd settle for Hyde, Tramon can't tackle anyways. The ilb spit is the most need right now on defense
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:39 PM - rodell330: Brandon spikes!
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:50 PM - Vltrophy: Redskins look to be interested in Mariota
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:52 PM - Poppa San: About $23m left in cap space per radio tonight. Save about $15m for rookies and in season cushion. Leaves about $8m to spend.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:53 PM - Vltrophy: That'd be funny Murry going to the Eagles & staying in the NFC East div
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:53 PM - Poppa San: Doesn't include min $$ replacements for min $$$ guys.
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:53 PM - Vltrophy: Slap dallas in the face
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:54 PM - Vltrophy: Romo throws at least 9 INTs next season
Mar 11, 2015 at 6:54 PM - Vltrophy: That's being nice
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:00 PM - Carl: Rookies won't eat up $15 million.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:02 PM - tynimiller: rodell Hyde nor Hayward have the top end speed to be effectve on the outside. WE CANNOT do that
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:08 PM - 7thFloorRA: totally agree. Neither of those 2 can be the outside starters.
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:08 PM - 7thFloorRA: damn dallas.....only offereing Murray 5 mil per year?
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:09 PM - Vltrophy: Ryan Matthews signed w/the Eagles but they still want Murry
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:12 PM - 7thFloorRA: well matthews is healthy for about 4 games per year
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:17 PM - 7thFloorRA: hell I would think about going and getting him for that cheap. 5 mil??? that is crazy low
Mar 11, 2015 at 7:58 PM - 7thFloorRA: Newhouse got 3.25 mil from the Giants. How is that possible!!!
Mar 11, 2015 at 8:18 PM - Vrill: No new news on Tramon huh? Is he visiting Minnesota for real?
Mar 11, 2015 at 8:20 PM - 7thFloorRA: I think at some point the vikings are just doing this to screw with TT.
Mar 11, 2015 at 8:33 PM - rodell330: Al Harris, Ty law, Aneas Williams, and Richard Sherman, were all burners right? You guys irk me with this to fast to slow hooblah.
Mar 11, 2015 at 8:40 PM - 7thFloorRA: Those guys bust your *** off the line and play(ed) physical. Tell me you can honestly see Casey doing that and being effective. You can be too slow and you can be too soft to play outside but you cant be both.

Mar 12, 2015 3:27 AM - Vltrophy: Sitton & Baktiari are going to get pd next year
Mar 12, 2015 3:29 AM - Vltrophy: Tramon is nuts if he signs w/the viqueens
Mar 12, 2015 5:43 AM - tynimiller: 7th nailed it. IF and it's a BIG IF we had to play hyde or hayward outside I think it has to be Hyde.
Mar 12, 2015 5:43 AM - tynimiller: By all means though if we have to play Hayward there I pray he proves me wrong!
Mar 12, 2015 5:44 AM - tynimiller: Vltrophy....I don't hesitate to think we pay Bak....you think any chance TT lets Sitton walk maybe?
Mar 12, 2015 5:45 AM - tynimiller: It will be his last chance at a massive contract and TT will already have had to pay out on Bulaga this year and wanna keep Bak....not too mention the future C Linsley
Mar 12, 2015 5:51 AM - Vrill: Linsley is a future pro bowler. I am extremely pleased with him.
Mar 12, 2015 5:55 AM - tynimiller: Linsley should have been a Pro Bowler last year....position and not a household name kept him out.
Mar 12, 2015 5:56 AM - 7thFloorRA: I would assume Sitton is done getting paid like that from TT.
Mar 12, 2015 5:56 AM - 7thFloorRA: Bak needs to get talked into a team friendly extension sometime during this season.
Mar 12, 2015 5:58 AM - tynimiller: If Bahk stays serviceable but not elite this coming season that is a good thing for us. Otherwise in 2 years we could be back to Bulaga talk at LT. So let's hope Bahk does well but not too well :)
Mar 12, 2015 5:58 AM - tynimiller: I agree 7th. Sitton I think will garner too much...barring a home town discount I bet TT let's him explore FA
Mar 12, 2015 6:06 AM - Vrill: OL and WR are two positions that TT drafts extremely well it seems. I know we have had a miss or two at OL, but TT has nailed it more times than not.
Mar 12, 2015 6:07 AM - tynimiller: NO doubt....however I think he does it right in that he usually drafts 2-3 OL a draft.
Mar 12, 2015 6:23 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: Looks like Murray will sign with the Eagles
Mar 12, 2015 6:41 AM - tynimiller: Oh man....Murray isn't available anymore...all the more reason we must draft Gordon in the 1st bahahaha!
Mar 12, 2015 6:59 AM - Pokerbrat2000: oh god....here we go again......stop with the MG draft!! lol
Mar 12, 2015 7:01 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Plus....we are trading Matthews and 2 first rounders to be able to move up and grab Mariota to back up Rodgers :coffee:
Mar 12, 2015 7:03 AM - tynimiller: Poker....bout time TT gets with it and builds a winner...... :D
Mar 12, 2015 7:09 AM - Pokerbrat2000: LOL.....Melvin had an awesome day catching passes yesterday at the Badger Pro day.....but lets not go there
Mar 12, 2015 7:15 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Tramon Williams news remains very quiet.....either he isn't getting offers or he just can't decided
Mar 12, 2015 7:18 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Good article on BJ..... http://www.jsonline.com/sports/pack...ain-punishing-form-b99460391z1-296011161.html
Mar 12, 2015 7:24 AM - tynimiller: I would bet Tramon is trying to convince himself money or success. He fully knows it is his last chance at cash (elsewhere) and last chance at a ring (here)
Mar 12, 2015 7:38 AM - tynimiller: That article sure makes it sound like he is willing to deal with Pack for cheap for a year....
Mar 12, 2015 7:39 AM - tynimiller: Could be worth Pack to offer Raji a 2 or 3 year contract cheap but with good incentives that could boost it and see if he'd do it. I tho still see a 1 year deal most likely.
Mar 12, 2015 7:42 AM - Pokerbrat2000: would love to see them sign him to a 3 year incentive laden contract, fair for both sides
Mar 12, 2015 7:43 AM - Pokerbrat2000: he has the tools.....and has shown that, he just needs to play up to his potential
Mar 12, 2015 7:48 AM - Carl: According to articles last year, he was looking really good before getting hurt. It was a very small sample size of course.
Mar 12, 2015 7:49 AM - tynimiller: TT I bet would have him resigned already if both sides were thinking 1 and prove contract. I bet TT is thinking a 2 or 3 year fair for both sides but cheap if he explodes :)
Mar 12, 2015 7:49 AM - tynimiller: explodes in a good way that is.
Mar 12, 2015 7:50 AM - 7thFloorRA: Look like Wilfork is being offered 2 yrs 10 mil by a few teams. Not sure I want anything to do with that
Mar 12, 2015 7:54 AM - tynimiller: Bout where I figured he'd be. Makes sense why we haven't heard anymore connection to him.
Mar 12, 2015 7:54 AM - Ace: I'd be ok with Wilfor at 2 for $10M no?
Mar 12, 2015 7:54 AM - Pokerbrat2000: all depends on what the Packers think they can do with Raji, Guion and the draft......right now, we have nothing
Mar 12, 2015 7:55 AM - Ace: *Wilfork

Mar 12, 2015 at 7:55 AM - 7thFloorRA: double click on what you wrote and you can correct it
Mar 12, 2015 at 7:56 AM - Ace: Good to know
Mar 12, 2015 at 7:56 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Wilfork is a "sure" thing in that position......would fill one big hole in our D for sure and we have the money
Mar 12, 2015 at 7:58 AM - Pokerbrat2000: We aren't going to be able to find starters in the draft at that position, ILB AND CB so something has to happen in the way of FA in at least one of those positions
Mar 12, 2015 at 7:59 AM - Greenbayphil: Im hopin Raji and Guion will both be back.
Mar 12, 2015 at 7:59 AM - Pokerbrat2000: as it stands today, all 3 positions are really roster thin :(
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:01 AM - Greenbayphil: I wouldnt say they are very thin, CB would need to be addressed early in the draft since its not a deep class, ILB has the potential to seep into 2nd/3rd rounds dependin on pro days etc.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:01 AM - tynimiller: You are saying we can't find a starting NT/DL correct in draft? Not ILB or CB, because I definitely feel we can for ILB and CB
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:01 AM - Greenbayphil: Shields, Hayward, Hyde, Goodson (Who knows how he will develop?)
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:02 AM - tynimiller: There is one maybe two big DL/NT types that could be viable at our pick...is it as likely as ILB or CB, no but it is still possible. I agree though Raji and Letroy both resigned is key to eliminate the worry. Don't sleep on Khyri possibly stepping into a role.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:03 AM - Greenbayphil: Carl Davis might be end of 1st round but Im not counting on it
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:04 AM - tynimiller: Khryi played more pre-season snaps than anyone and was looking good for his development before the injury...word is for a big dude 300lbs he has a lot of fast twitch speed.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:06 AM - Greenbayphil: Yeh, I think theres quite a few in-house options worth keeping an eye out, K. Thornton and C. Bradford spring to mind, wonder if he can transition to ILB
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:06 AM - 7thFloorRA: i thought he was a major dissappointment before the injury. the injury saved him from being cut
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:08 AM - tynimiller: 7th seriously? You didn't like Khyri? If you lived close I'd take a friendly beer wager that he makes the roster this year.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:10 AM - 7thFloorRA: I am just going off what i heard. I didn't go to any camp days other than family night so i never saw him.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:12 AM - 7thFloorRA: hopefully the free year (since was probably healthy most of the season even though on IR) has gotten him up to speed. The more big bodies the better.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:13 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Inserting Wilfork in the middle shores up a D-line and takes some pressure off the linebackers, we need one of those positions to be solid, can the current roster fill both positions? Yes, but how good will our D be is then a big question mark, sign Wilfork for the 2 year $10 Milllion
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:14 AM - Carl: I remember reading that Khyri was not looking good at all.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:15 AM - Pokerbrat2000: do we really want to count on Khyri to start?
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:15 AM - tynimiller: Never said start, NEVER.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:16 AM - tynimiller: If he does ever start we are talking either 2017 at earliest or major injuries have befallen us. Dude I feel has the M Daniels potential though to contribute and maybe turn into something better.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:16 AM - Pokerbrat2000: right, but currently we need 3 starters on defense.... NT, ILB and CB how do we fill those with quality?
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:17 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Sign Wilfork, hopefully Tramon comes back and use our #1 on an ILB
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:17 AM - Ace: Chris Culliver interest anybody?
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:18 AM - tynimiller: Culliver is my favorite CB available but I doubt he comes at the price TT would want. And guys I feel NT will be filled with Raji/Letroy resignings.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:19 AM - tynimiller: If we would sign Wilfork...Raji had better come to us cheap...otherwise that signing would signal end of Raji IMO
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:19 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I like Culliver, but if we can't sign Tramon...doubt we can sign him
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:19 AM - Pokerbrat2000: no matter what happens, no team is going to pay Raji much....way to many question marks at this point
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:20 AM - tynimiller: One has to wonder if Cobb and Bulaga coming back has any impact at all on Tramon weighing his options.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:20 AM - 7thFloorRA: Sounds like Tramon is not going to the Saints. I can't imagine any amount of money gets him to the Vikings. I would however watch out for New England to make a move on him.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:20 AM - Pokerbrat2000: maybe, but House leaving ups his price (in his mind)
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:23 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I'm not about spending foolishly for the future, but our offense is set.....only missing a few key pieces on Defense to make a legit SB run, spend the money on Wilfork and Williams. How many Packer fans are going to be PO'd when your D can't stop anyone, our O is scoring 35 and we don't make the SB again?
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:25 AM - tynimiller: I honestly feel our D still holds potential to be better so long as we fill the outside CB spot with someone that can start. Nix is only going to get better, Peppers proved late he got very comfortable, Neal motivated in contract year, Raji potentially the same, Barrington wanting to prove...lot of motivation or another year on D side.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:25 AM - tynimiller: All that said, to me it hinges on having a compliment to Shields, a true one not a hope.

Mar 12, 2015 at 8:28 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Raji is a BIG question mark IMO and ILB is about as weak as it ever has been.....we were starting 2 guys that since were cut in that position last year.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:28 AM - tynimiller: I wonder also if Tramon is kinda wanting a feel of how much Cox and Culliver are expecting.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:31 AM - Pokerbrat2000: this is the time of FA that bargains are to be had......guys are wondering why their phones aren't ringing and the earlier low ball offers are starting to look good
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:34 AM - Ace: Where Ted cleans up ;)
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:36 AM - Pokerbrat2000: in Ted I trust......just sign Wilfork damnit lol
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:38 AM - Pokerbrat2000: sadly, I think Wilfork will be back with the Pats, he is just getting offers to bring the Pats up. Which I think is what Tramon is doing as well
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:38 AM - tynimiller: Not quite yet Ace. It's been less than like 48 hours essentially. He'll make any non-resign moves I bet next week.
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:39 AM - Ace: I agree actually TY
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:39 AM - tynimiller: I just pray Culliver is still there and willing to bargain if we don't get Tramon
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:40 AM - Pokerbrat2000: TT waited until 4/3 last year to resign Kuhn
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:43 AM - Ace: When did Peppers sign?
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:44 AM - Pokerbrat2000: 3/15
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:59 AM - Carl: Pennel could end up with a much bigger role. He is an undrafted guy, but he's a big guy who can move.
Mar 12, 2015 at 9:02 AM - tynimiller: Pennel exceeded his expectations...hope he continues
Mar 12, 2015 at 9:11 AM - Cheesehead625: Well damn... Looks like no pot roast. He's only interested in Colts, Raiders, Redskins and Patriots.
Mar 12, 2015 at 9:12 AM - Cheesehead625: Mason Foster to the Bears
Mar 12, 2015 at 9:16 AM - Cheesehead625: Peterson to the Bucs for a second round pick.
Mar 12, 2015 at 9:16 AM - Cheesehead625: Sorry last one was a fake account
Mar 12, 2015 at 9:35 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I thought it was Peterson to the Packers for a 6th round? LOL
Mar 12, 2015 at 9:35 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I would love to see AP wearing another jersey next year
Mar 12, 2015 at 9:40 AM - Cheesehead625: LOL
Mar 12, 2015 at 9:41 AM - Cheesehead625: I'd like AP to go to a completely unexpected team. How about the Dolphins lol
Mar 12, 2015 at 9:46 AM - Cheesehead625: Red Bryant might be interesting.
Mar 12, 2015 at 11:25 AM - Vltrophy: Murray is now an eagle
Mar 12, 2015 at 11:26 AM - Vltrophy: So far the Packers is the only team to not get worse in out div
Mar 12, 2015 at 12:02 PM - Carl: Saints sign Browner. Don't understand them at all. Unload Graham, probably to save cap space, and then spend on other free agents. It's like they are doing both rebuilding and trying to win now.
Mar 12, 2015 at 12:32 PM - Joe2887: Yeah Carl I didn't understand that. And they are also trying to unload Stills... The management has no idea what direction they want to head
Mar 12, 2015 at 1:03 PM - Green and Gold: Packers are better at drafting and keeping their own players than other teams. And we are still able to make it to playoffs consistently :)
Mar 12, 2015 at 2:09 PM - Carl: The Eagles are even worse this offseason. Trade McCoy, cut Williams, overpay Maxwell, sing Murray.
Mar 12, 2015 at 2:09 PM - Carl: Lots of moves, but for everyone coming in, someone else is going out.
Mar 12, 2015 at 2:17 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Latest, but not much on Tramon http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/163912/packers-remain-in-play-for-tramon-williams
Mar 12, 2015 at 2:20 PM - PackwillBEback: Trent Richardson has been released by the Indianpolis Colts
Mar 12, 2015 at 2:28 PM - Pokerbrat2000: now there has been a disappointing player.....Richardson
Mar 12, 2015 at 2:35 PM - Vrill: http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/post/_/id/163912/packers-remain-in-play-for-tramon-williams
Mar 12, 2015 at 3:20 PM - Vrill: #Packers free-agent CB Tramon Williams is back home thinking after visiting Saints, per source -- but #Saints remain in play - MIke Tripplett.......SIGN HIM TT!

Mar 12, 2015 at 3:54 PM - desertdog55: I don't think TT will sign any more UFAs....he hates giving up compensatory picks for them. Maybe players that get cut, now that's a different story.
Mar 12, 2015 at 4:23 PM - Cheesehead625: Knighton to Skins
Mar 12, 2015 at 8:04 PM - 7thFloorRA: 2 yrs 15 mill for cameron is a joke

Mar 12, 2015 9:34 PM - Vrill: Where's that Tramon news!!
Mar 12, 2015 9:36 PM - 7thFloorRA: Tramon has to be doing the walk of shame back to TT>
Mar 13, 2015 12:29 AM - Green and Gold: I wonder if the Packers wilfork over the money for this guy.
Mar 13, 2015 12:30 AM - Green and Gold: Saints just signed Browner, let's hope that means Tramon takes a friendly deal and returns to GB.
Mar 13, 2015 12:30 AM - Dr. Kenneth Noisewater:
Mar 13, 2015 1:47 AM - Vrill: Williams would be the Saints 3rd CB most likely with Browner and Kennan Lewis already there.......not happening. Too much competition....hes coming home...has to....
Mar 13, 2015 5:22 AM - tynimiller: Doesn't have to...but I think it is the best option out there now for both parties.
Mar 13, 2015 6:29 AM - Ace: Culliver 4 yr deal with Washington
Mar 13, 2015 6:36 AM - Ace: Teddy never panicks. He offered a deal to Tramon which he turned down and allowed him to test the market. Market was dry for him all things considered and now he's going to get him back at Ted's price. How can anybody not like this guy? He plays the system to perfection
Mar 13, 2015 6:40 AM - tynimiller: TT is a man who studies his craft and has to surround him self with an amazing staff. I hope when he decides he is starting to wane we can somehow have him groom a successor to an extent.
Mar 13, 2015 6:44 AM - Ace: Elliot Wolf who I think will bring a good mix of Ted and a little John Schnieder to the table as well.
Mar 13, 2015 9:32 AM - tynimiller: I am loving how quiet things are right now in FA....we need all silent along ILB and CB field. Also the deals for DL make me think Raji is back and probably less than his 4mill last year
Mar 13, 2015 9:33 AM - tynimiller: I predict somewhere in the 3.25-3.75 range for 1 year to Raji
Mar 13, 2015 9:52 AM - Ace: Oh I don't know if I like that for Raji. I'd like to be at or under $2M on a 1 year deal.
Mar 13, 2015 9:57 AM - tynimiller: To Raji is what I meant is what he's probably hoping for. I could see TT weighing this one either low with incentives or high but with no incentives. I wouldn't put it past TT to go for a 2 year deal either if price is right if his staff says he truly was returning to form.
Mar 13, 2015 11:56 AM - Vltrophy: McFadden goes to the cowgirls
Mar 13, 2015 11:58 AM - sjb12681: surprised by dmac to cowboys. likely means ap staying in Minny.
Mar 13, 2015 11:58 AM - sjb12681: they must truly believe anyone can run behind that line
Mar 13, 2015 12:01 PM - Ace: I'm not sure DMC should have any bearing on whether a team goes after AP. You have a chance to get AP you do it
Mar 13, 2015 1:37 PM - packers_BG: :)
Mar 13, 2015 2:10 PM - Snoops: How do you post a new forum? Anybody know?
Mar 13, 2015 2:11 PM - Snoops: Or a thread
Mar 13, 2015 2:14 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Just post something about the Packers should draft Melvin Gordon and everyone will find it :coffee:
Mar 13, 2015 2:14 PM - Snoops: Where do I post it at? Lol
Mar 13, 2015 2:17 PM - Snoops: Like I wanna have it on the packers news app
Mar 13, 2015 2:24 PM - Pokerbrat2000: that was my way of saying I don't know.....was wondering that myself one day and decided "do I really want my name leading a blog of potential demise" lol
Mar 13, 2015 2:33 PM - Cheesehead625: When you click on Packer Fan forum, there should be a link that says post new topic.
Mar 13, 2015 3:13 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Thanks Cheesehead.....and snoops.....that would be the "Packer Fan Forum" link directly below this box...click that and you will see it.
Mar 13, 2015 3:26 PM - Vrill: Rams front 7 on defense is going to be lights out next year. Fairley puts them over the top. I bet Rams win NFC West................
Mar 13, 2015 3:36 PM - adambr2: Not unless Foles has an off the charts year. They still need to score points. I could see 2nd in the West though if things break their way.
Mar 13, 2015 4:04 PM - Vltrophy: If fairley grows up & stays out of trouble plays to his potential but hasn't been all that great imo
Mar 13, 2015 4:20 PM - Cheesehead625: Wallace to Vikes

Mar 13, 2015 at 4:27 PM - Vrill: Saints are shopping CB Kennan Lewis now.......
Mar 13, 2015 at 4:29 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: They're shopping everyone except for Brees and Cooks
Mar 13, 2015 at 4:29 PM - Vrill: Ive never seen so many trades take place in the NFL before...This is crazy
Mar 13, 2015 at 4:29 PM - Vrill: well, the Lewis shop is a new one...it just caught news
Mar 13, 2015 at 4:30 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Not really sure why they did the trade for Ellerbe
Mar 13, 2015 at 4:31 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Got rid of a WR still on his rookie contract for an overpaid LB
Mar 13, 2015 at 4:37 PM - Vltrophy: Wallace being traded to the vikes
Mar 13, 2015 at 4:39 PM - Vltrophy: Vikings get Wallace & a 7th rd pick Dolphins get a 5th rd pick
Mar 13, 2015 at 5:31 PM - Vrill: Saints got a 3rd rounder from Miami too in that trade...

Mar 14, 2015 6:45 AM - 7thFloorRA: Isn't Wallace owned a ton of money?
Mar 14, 2015 6:55 AM - Carl: Saints have had the worst offseason.
Mar 14, 2015 7:29 AM - MiamiBeachPacker: Hopefully their season is the same
Mar 14, 2015 8:32 AM - Vltrophy: Wallace has a 5 yr $60M & due a bonus soon if not already
Mar 14, 2015 8:47 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Anyone else thinking that Tramon Williams is going to end up with a contract paying less then what the Jags paid House?
Mar 14, 2015 8:49 AM - adambr2: Oh I think he definitely will. Especially since he's not signed by now.
Mar 14, 2015 11:09 AM - dbain21: Jennings released from Vikings. Could 85 come back home?
Mar 14, 2015 11:20 AM - azrsx05: No way Jennings comes back. He burned bridges on his way out
Mar 14, 2015 11:25 AM - adambr2: I don't think the bridges are beyond repair, but to me it's the lack of need. We have absolutely no need for another receiver.
Mar 14, 2015 11:30 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Think Cobb and Jordy are smiling right now?
Mar 14, 2015 11:58 AM - dbain21: yeah never say never. But I think its more for lack of need as well.
Mar 14, 2015 12:12 PM - Vltrophy: Ha ha lol! The loser Jennings has been released
Mar 14, 2015 12:13 PM - Vltrophy: Maybe he can get on the raiders lol
Mar 14, 2015 12:14 PM - Vltrophy: No freakin way he comes back. That loser can stay gone for all I care
Mar 14, 2015 12:25 PM - Poppa San: But but but.. he's a free agent I've heard of. thus TT is a bad GM if he doesn't immediately break the bank to sign him. He is the back up to the backup that will put us in the SB.
Mar 14, 2015 12:26 PM - longtimefan: Karma
Mar 14, 2015 2:44 PM - Zartan: Karma is a ***** sometimes
Mar 14, 2015 3:01 PM - sjb12681: ^^^
Mar 14, 2015 3:02 PM - sjb12681: maybe this should be a lesson. don't bite the hand that feeds you a $45m deal. that deal was predicated by the qb and gm you tried to trash, then ran to the dark side.
Mar 14, 2015 3:33 PM - Carl: Harsh guys. He's since apologized. I have nothing agaisnt him.
Mar 14, 2015 3:50 PM - Vltrophy: Yeah when the Packers went to MN & beat them GJ was telling AR something after the game & Rodgers was trying to leave while GJ was holding on to him
Mar 14, 2015 3:57 PM - sjb12681: it took me 4 years to forgive favre. Greg Jennings is no Brett favre.
Mar 14, 2015 4:00 PM - Vltrophy: Besides the Packers "brain wash" their players. Why would he want to come back
Mar 14, 2015 4:00 PM - Dan115: what does Jennings sister say?
Mar 14, 2015 4:41 PM - pacmaniac: No need? We only have 3 good WRs now. We had 4 good WRs when we won the SB in 2010
Mar 14, 2015 4:42 PM - Vrill: Signing Jennings would stunt the growth of Adams.....
Mar 14, 2015 5:56 PM - 7thFloorRA: Big Money Greg would actually be ideal in Cleveland but they have Bowe in town now.
Mar 14, 2015 6:32 PM - Carl: Being 4 deep at WR is a must have to win it all?
Mar 14, 2015 6:38 PM - rodell330: We'll it doesn't hurt and it sure helps not having a stud tightend to have another Recieving threat.
Mar 14, 2015 6:56 PM - weeds: Who's laughing? Didn't Jennings get an 18M upfront? I doubt he cares what any of us have to say...
Mar 14, 2015 6:59 PM - adambr2: No he got 10M up front. Altogether he essentially signed a 2 year, 17.8M dollar deal. I doubt he's laughing about that.
Mar 14, 2015 7:00 PM - adambr2: And no we don't need another WR. We are already deep at WR and have a good mix of young upside near the bottom. I don't know where the Andre Johnson, Greg Jennings, Percy Harvin talk comes from.
Mar 14, 2015 8:20 PM - Vrill: Well, to be fair, what WE think we need and what TT thinks we need maybe two different things. So we'll see what happens.

Mar 15, 2015 2:32 AM - Vrill: So WHATS up with Tramon? Why hasn't he signed with anyone yet? Much less us? Is it a matter of time before we see TT re-signing him or what?
Mar 15, 2015 3:50 AM - weeds: 10 million here, 18 million there... pretty soon we're talking real money... Greg exposed himself as a blow-hole during his exit from GB to be sure and the Pack got along nicely without him, however, to laugh at his obscene contract is somewhat silly.
Mar 15, 2015 7:45 AM - GhostofCurly: Somewhat silly?
Mar 15, 2015 8:55 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Report in the WSJ this morning, Packers are the only team not to sign a FA so far, other than their own
Mar 15, 2015 9:24 AM - gatorpack: At least we know we didnt overpay anyone :)
Mar 15, 2015 9:48 AM - Pokerbrat2000: yes and let's hope we underpay a few of the remaining FA's :D
Mar 15, 2015 10:20 AM - 7thFloorRA: He is going to have to do something. He has too much cap space now.
Mar 15, 2015 10:45 AM - Green and Gold: How bad is it to get cut by a team that isn't even good enough to suck?
Mar 15, 2015 11:02 AM - bubba: Williams on his way to Cleveland for a visit.
Mar 15, 2015 11:04 AM - bubba: Lets see go to a bottom feeder for a little more money or stay in GB and have a shot at another title. Especially after all the money you cashed in while you were here.
Mar 15, 2015 12:13 PM - GhostofCurly: If money is more important to a player than titles so be it. That is a silly argument to me. Aman will do what is best for him and his family. If he moves on the team will have to deal with it. They owe the Packers nothing.
Mar 15, 2015 2:31 PM - Cheesehead625: Houston, Baltimore, and Indianapolis the 3 favorites to land Wilfork.
Mar 15, 2015 2:31 PM - Cheesehead625: Time to sign Raji already!
Mar 15, 2015 3:29 PM - Vrill: Williams is 32 right? He's just trying to maximize his deal is all. This will most likely be the final contract of his career.
Mar 15, 2015 4:10 PM - PackerDNA: Sometimes I think I accidentely got on an accountant site. Who cares what the contract is? And the really funny thing is people sitting behind keyboards passing judgement on guys going for the most money they can get. What???
Mar 15, 2015 4:39 PM - 7thFloorRA: There is no way he goes to freaking cleveland.
Mar 15, 2015 7:06 PM - rodell330: Why? He's hot a ring he's trying to get paid now. You don't know what he will do.
Mar 15, 2015 7:07 PM - rodell330: Got*
Mar 15, 2015 7:37 PM - 7thFloorRA: He is 32. No team gives a **** about him wanting to get paid.
Mar 15, 2015 7:37 PM - 7thFloorRA: He is going to get the same offer most places
Mar 15, 2015 7:38 PM - 7thFloorRA: He was going to seattle, then philly, then nawlins then minnesota and now cleveland. If he was going to get paid he already would have. He will crawl back to TT.
Mar 15, 2015 8:12 PM - sschind: 7th- I haven't really been following but if has been to all those place you may be right.
Mar 15, 2015 8:14 PM - sschind: Ghost- The phrase "do what's right for his (my) family" should be banned. Just be honest and say "I took the most money I could get" Its honest and doesn't make you look like you are blaming your family for it.
Mar 15, 2015 8:14 PM - desertdog55: people are going to ***** if we spend too much money, people are going to ***** if we don't spend enough. There is a reason WE are posting on a message board, and THEY are running the team.
Mar 15, 2015 8:15 PM - sschind: when I hear players use that line I lose a bit of respect for them.
Mar 15, 2015 8:26 PM - 7thFloorRA: I think he has only visited 2 of those teams but has supposedly been in discussion with the others

Mar 16, 2015 1:21 AM - Zartan: The thing that puzzles me about Grag Jennings is the Brainwashing thing. Wouldent all teams coaches and staff say to the players that they are the best in something? Like the Coach for the Steelers say to the players we are the worst team in the division we have the worst fans and no one likes us. Who would say that?
Mar 16, 2015 1:23 AM - Zartan: Whoever gets marcus mariota Congrats you have been drafted by our lame *** team. We suck in the division we have no fans ...
Mar 16, 2015 2:11 AM - Dan115: Jennigs needs a leader at qb--- Rodgers only a MVP-- Not good enough for Greg.
Mar 16, 2015 5:44 AM - tynimiller: Correction desert dog: Only stupid people/fans will complain if we don't spend enough...smart people/fans will complain if we don't spend wise (no matter the amount). You get Wilfork for a good price I say win. You get Williams for a good price I say win. Only dumb fans want to name grab at all costs.
Mar 16, 2015 5:59 AM - rodell330: Queens get Mike Wallace for peanuts! I'd just go deep with him and Patterson
Mar 16, 2015 6:23 AM - tynimiller: I still think TT is trying for Wilfork...I think when Wilfork signs we see the DL chips begin falling faster. I still think barring a Williams or Wilfork signing GB and TT are still days away from some signings.
Mar 16, 2015 6:30 AM - rodell330: Idk..I can see Wilfork going back to New England in a discounted rate or going closer to home and signing with one of the Florida teams. He's very family oriented.
Mar 16, 2015 6:34 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Would love to see Wilfork in GB, but I agree with Rodell all signs are pointing to him ending up back with the Pats or between JJ and Clowney in TX
Mar 16, 2015 6:42 AM - tynimiller: JJ....Wilfork......Clowner.....holy smokes.
Mar 16, 2015 7:34 AM - Pokerbrat2000: That is one D line I would LOVE to have
Mar 16, 2015 7:58 AM - tynimiller: Let's be honest though....if Raji returns to his old Raji self we will have Mathews, Raji and Peppers at times up there....not shabby
Mar 16, 2015 7:58 AM - tynimiller: *if Raji resigns
Mar 16, 2015 8:11 AM - Pokerbrat2000: too big of an "If" for me and you would need Guion back as insurance. My vote is Wilfork and develop a replacement
Mar 16, 2015 8:12 AM - Pokerbrat2000: but I haven't seen any news pointing Wilfork our way....so best guess knowing TT....we will be seeing Raji, Guion and a mid to late round draft choice in camp for the NT job
Mar 16, 2015 8:14 AM - Pokerbrat2000: For a team with traditionally good depth under TT I am surprised at how thin we all of a sudden got at NT, ILB and CB
Mar 16, 2015 8:24 AM - Carl: Free agency isn't over yet and we still have to draft. Also, every team will have at least one weakness going into the season.
Mar 16, 2015 8:25 AM - tynimiller: Poker...we are anything but thin at CB...just at outside CB. Most teams would be jealous of our backup/Nickle guys in Hyde and Hayward and it is not too dumb to say Goodson could become serviceable backup
Mar 16, 2015 10:27 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I don't know Ty....look at this at tell me we aren't thin at those positions? http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/teams/depth-chart/GB/green-bay-packers
Mar 16, 2015 10:27 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Obviously, all 3 positions will be addressed in the coming months, just saying I am surprised that the cupboard is that bare
Mar 16, 2015 10:36 AM - tynimiller: It's partially that bare essentially due to a decent chunk of contracts being up and Hyde listed as a S
Mar 16, 2015 10:36 AM - tynimiller: Okay I'll grant thin but honestly you add one outside CB and we aren't anymore.
Mar 16, 2015 10:57 AM - Packman Chant: Al Harris and Mike Mckenzie both signed today we are good to go
Mar 16, 2015 11:13 AM - Pokerbrat2000: LOL.......so did LeRoy Butler
Mar 16, 2015 11:15 AM - tynimiller: Ahmad Carrol?
Mar 16, 2015 11:20 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Chuck Cecil
Mar 16, 2015 11:49 AM - Vltrophy: Tebow working out for the Eagles today
Mar 16, 2015 11:50 AM - Dr. Kenneth Noisewater: Tramon's going to Cleveland
Mar 16, 2015 11:50 AM - Dr. Kenneth Noisewater: -Schefter on Twitter
Mar 16, 2015 11:53 AM - dbain21: Bye tramon. Have fun with the browns. Not upset that he left for more money (I'm assuming) but definitely disapointed
Mar 16, 2015 11:54 AM - Joe2887: Hah 21m/3yr for Tramon. Yeah right.
Mar 16, 2015 11:56 AM - dbain21: This is going to be one interesting draft
Mar 16, 2015 11:56 AM - 7thFloorRA: 21 mil??? WTF Cleveland. Their GM is a damn fool. First he tries to trade for Bradford then he tries to get 40 yr old larry fitzgerald and now he gives absolutely stupid money and years to tramon.
Mar 16, 2015 11:56 AM - 7thFloorRA: TT has a boatload of cap space now. I can't see him rolling 15 mil over to next year.
Mar 16, 2015 12:02 PM - Joe2887: Yeah but who do we go after
Mar 16, 2015 12:02 PM - Joe2887: definitely need to hit one of the three positions

Mar 16, 2015 at 12:05 PM - 7thFloorRA: I don't even know what is out there worth getting. McClain is the only ILB i like but he is an idiot and he is facing suspension and that arson investigation as well.
Mar 16, 2015 at 12:05 PM - 7thFloorRA: Maybe a trade with a team trying to dump salary??
Mar 16, 2015 at 12:06 PM - Joe2887: yeah only thing I can posisbly see is a trade since it looks like wilfork is going to NE/Hou
Mar 16, 2015 at 12:07 PM - 7thFloorRA: I have a feeling broke down old man Charles Tillman is going to join Peppers as former bears and current packers
Mar 16, 2015 at 12:20 PM - tynimiller: Trade isn't out of the realm of possibility, nor is seeing Tillman come cheap and possibly then cut. I still say Spikes signs with us.
Mar 16, 2015 at 12:29 PM - tynimiller: TT cannot let Raji walk...at this point Raji is gaining ground in the negotiations sadly. TT cannot let us limp into the draft with a lot of need on the DL
Mar 16, 2015 at 12:35 PM - Joe2887: Speically since Wilfork is signing with houston
Mar 16, 2015 at 1:16 PM - Packman Chant: I wanted vincey
Mar 16, 2015 at 1:38 PM - Joe2887: Wilfork only got 9mil /cry
Mar 16, 2015 at 2:06 PM - Vrill: Was Wilfork even on TT's radar....?
Mar 16, 2015 at 2:06 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Houston got a bargain....IMO
Mar 16, 2015 at 2:06 PM - Pokerbrat2000: never heard anything but one reporter saying "Wilfork makes sense for GB"
Mar 16, 2015 at 2:07 PM - Pokerbrat2000: he may not have wanted to be in GB......I think he has 2 good years left in his tank....
Mar 16, 2015 at 2:22 PM - Vrill: honestly, i'm not worried about Tramon leaving in the least. Hes at the age now where any year he could have a drastic drop off in overall play. We just have to make CB our #1 goal in the draft now.
Mar 16, 2015 at 2:24 PM - Green and Gold: It'll be a nice comp pick at least.
Mar 16, 2015 at 2:25 PM - Vrill: yep, we'll get a 3rd or 4th for him
Mar 16, 2015 at 2:26 PM - Einstein McFly: $7mil is WAY too much for Tramon Williams. If he was 24 then maybe, but at 32 I think we can do better.
Mar 16, 2015 at 2:36 PM - Joe2887: think we get 4th comp pick
Mar 16, 2015 at 3:16 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpost?blogname=nflnation&id=164315
Mar 16, 2015 at 3:16 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Article about Tramon
Mar 16, 2015 at 3:43 PM - Narveson: So Shields as the #1 CB. Hayward as the #2 CB
Mar 16, 2015 at 4:30 PM - Vrill: Tramon maybe a case of "Getting rid of him a year early instead of a year too late"....honestly, if Tramon did come back, he'd just be a year or two bridge for a rookie corner or someone else......he wasn't going to be a longterm answer for us.....but yes, I would have liked him back, but its not the end of the world that we lost him. plus we'll get a nice comp pick for him...
Mar 16, 2015 at 4:43 PM - Cheesehead625: So I don't really like going into the draft thin at 3 places, but Tramon definitely got overpaid. Plus it's a great year for CBs in the draft
Mar 16, 2015 at 4:44 PM - Vltrophy: 3 yrs $21M. Not sure bout the guaranted. Probably about $10
Mar 16, 2015 at 4:46 PM - Vrill: Still too much for an aging CB. Hes at the age now where the wheels could fall off any year now.
Mar 16, 2015 at 5:18 PM - desertdog55: Way overpaid. TT knows exactly what he is doing.
Mar 16, 2015 at 5:29 PM - Green and Gold: Williams was a consummate Packer. Hardworking, tough as hell, undersold and underrated. He was a great cornerback for us and will be for the Browns.
Mar 16, 2015 at 6:33 PM - weeds: Green and Gold -- good post. Thank you.
Mar 16, 2015 at 7:21 PM - adambr2: Wow Chris Borland retiring
Mar 16, 2015 at 7:22 PM - 7thFloorRA: what? no way
Mar 16, 2015 at 7:23 PM - 7thFloorRA: i guess its true as i just read it as well and it had direct quotes from him
Mar 16, 2015 at 7:24 PM - 7thFloorRA: he didn't even make any money in the league really. No one wants to play for the 49ers.
Mar 16, 2015 at 7:28 PM - Carl: Good thing we didn't draft him.
Mar 16, 2015 at 7:36 PM - Cheesehead625: It's the end of football as we know it.
Mar 16, 2015 at 7:43 PM - 7thFloorRA: weird that his last concussion was 7 or so years ago and he has only had 2 ever and 1 was in soccer.

Mar 16, 2015 at 7:47 PM - Vltrophy: Just saw the headline bout Borland. Crazy. Glad we didn't draft him. Hope he got a good education.
Mar 16, 2015 at 7:49 PM - Vltrophy: Unless there's something else behind this that he's not saying
Mar 16, 2015 at 7:54 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Article I read said that he thought he had a concussion in training camp
Mar 16, 2015 at 7:54 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: But he played through it because he wanted to make the team
Mar 16, 2015 at 8:47 PM - PackwillBEback: Good bye, Tramon. Sad to see him go. Very classy, wish him the best with the Browns.

Mar 17, 2015 12:09 AM - metallicblaze: LB went from a position of strength to a position of need for the 49er's. Crazy.
Mar 17, 2015 4:00 AM - Dr. Kenneth Noisewater: Great. Another team that needs an ILB drafting ahead of us
Mar 17, 2015 5:39 AM - tynimiller: My thoughts exactly Dr. However, I do feel there are 4-5 surefire guys that could flourish for us. Not saying BOOM studs in 1 year but there is a decent crop that could stretch into the 3rd round maybe 4th
Mar 17, 2015 6:15 AM - tynimiller: Perhaps Demetri Goodson getting up to speed and out from Williams/Shields/House shadows for outside CB doesn't have TT and company worried. I truly feel if it did he'd have went up to the 5 or 5.5 million range on Tramon once House signed.
Mar 17, 2015 6:23 AM - 7thFloorRA: They also have Tay Glover-Wright on the roster. Maybe there is something there.....he was on the PS most of last year.
Mar 17, 2015 6:32 AM - 7thFloorRA: 333
Mar 17, 2015 6:32 AM - 7thFloorRA: ..
Mar 17, 2015 6:38 AM - tynimiller: I know ZERO about him. I like Goodson has BBall experience at a high level....athleticism can help through growing pains. I am by no means saying he's the answer...but his motivation has to be sky high now.
Mar 17, 2015 7:03 AM - 7thFloorRA: he has bball experience at the major d1 level. he played at gonzaga
Mar 17, 2015 7:38 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I'm not hitting the panic button, but I don't want a rebuilding year on defense. With the way we finished 2014 and the entire starting offense returning, 2015 is a SB year! I will be nervous going into the regular season if all TT does is plug the defensive holes with first time starters. Now is the time to spend some of the saved cap money and get 1-2 FA's with starter experience on defense!
Mar 17, 2015 8:12 AM - tynimiller: Poker I agree to an extent but it is all temporary in FA right now save maybe a few young ones hitting restart button. Spikes as an example would be a great 2 down fixer but we still need to draft. Raji and a guy like Red Bryant would be great for DL but I'd still want to draft a mid rounder for depth. It is all about filling temp and long term. Curious to see how it all plays out.
Mar 17, 2015 11:28 AM - rodell330: How's bad draft picks and plugging in holes of need with veteran players worked out for the Patriots? I'd say pretty good.
Mar 17, 2015 11:29 AM - rodell330: Their not afraid to pay for free agents even if they do borrow them for actor or two.
Mar 17, 2015 11:29 AM - rodell330: A yr*
Mar 17, 2015 11:39 AM - Vltrophy: Ellerby takes $7M haircut from Saints. At least that's what the title says. Pay cut more like it or that's one EXPENSIVE hair cut lol
Mar 17, 2015 11:44 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I agree Rodell.....we will have at least 2 (ILB and CB) positions, if not 3 (NT) where the person inserted has never started and Barrington is rather green at the other ILB. So unless we pick up a vet or two, those are some key positions to fill with "newbies"
Mar 17, 2015 12:43 PM - rodell330: Doesn't hurt to sign fill ins until rookies develop...you still get credit for drafting them TT haha..and the roster is still 85% of your guys .
Mar 17, 2015 12:49 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I totally get the draft and develop philosophy and it obviously works great, but when you are a legit SB contender, you can't afford to develop players at 3 positions on defense. Will be fun to sit back and watch how TT addresses it
Mar 17, 2015 1:53 PM - rodell330: Spikes would be a great start
Mar 17, 2015 2:03 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I like Spikes size and age, doesn't grade well for covering......but would slide nicely into the Packers 1st and 2nd down packages
Mar 17, 2015 5:45 PM - 7thFloorRA: He is like a more bulked up bishop. no thanks
Mar 17, 2015 5:45 PM - 7thFloorRA: Barrington is the big thumper in this D.
Mar 17, 2015 6:46 PM - Pokerbrat2000: good article if you haven't seen it....http://www.packersnews.com/story/sp...n-suddenly-scrambling-at-cornerback/24876911/

Mar 18, 2015 5:09 AM - tynimiller: I'll be honest, scrounged up some tape of Goodson and dude has athletic ability...I pray he can step up. I do think though CB is a position we have to draft and draft high for. There is no Spikes type CB available still in FA.
Mar 18, 2015 5:57 AM - sjb12681: I guess I am curous why everyone is writing off Casey Hayward at this time?
Mar 18, 2015 5:57 AM - sjb12681: *curious
Mar 18, 2015 6:14 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Personally, I'm a fan of Hayward and see him making a big step forward this coming year, but just like ILB....is he or a rookie ready to start?
Mar 18, 2015 7:00 AM - tynimiller: sjb...it's due to his height and speed. He simply doesn't have the usual traits an outside CB has to be successful. I'm a HUGE fan of his too, but dude is a ball hawking slot CB. He'll get his shot though, and I hope he proves a lot of us wrong.
Mar 18, 2015 7:00 AM - tynimiller: Bad thing is if he does take that spot over and do well...he'll be due way more money come year's end than if he stays in the slot.
Mar 18, 2015 7:07 AM - Shawnsta3: Paying a player who has performed well is a great problem to have.
Mar 18, 2015 7:19 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I agree, here is to Heyward having a breakout Pro Bowl year with 9 picks!

Mar 18, 2015 7:39 AM - 7thFloorRA: what about welker? is he in for a visit?
Mar 18, 2015 7:39 AM - rodell330: Why would he be? If we don't need Jennings we sure don't need Welker.. Concussion prone as well
Mar 18, 2015 7:40 AM - rodell330: This would be a horrible sign seeing how offense is not the issue unless it's tightend being addressed
Mar 18, 2015 7:41 AM - 7thFloorRA: TT also has 20 mil and he has to do something with a portion of it.
Mar 18, 2015 7:42 AM - rodell330: Again, offense is NOT the issue unless it's tightend
Mar 18, 2015 7:59 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I chuckle every time I read something about "Packers should draft this offensive player #1" or "sign this top offensive FA"....remember we are returning all 11 starters AND we have 3 big needs on D E F E N S E
Mar 18, 2015 8:04 AM - 7thFloorRA: I think TT is very confident in Goodson, Bradford and Joe Thomas
Mar 18, 2015 8:04 AM - 7thFloorRA: Watching a team go from crap to elite to crap again like the 49ers makes me appreciate TT all the more
Mar 18, 2015 8:10 AM - Pokerbrat2000: TT has proven time and again that his draft and develop philosophy builds depth, in him I trust between now and opening day to fill the 3 voids with quality starters
Mar 18, 2015 8:11 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Many teams this time of year are trying to find a starting QB, RB and WR.....would much rather have the ??? marks on the other side of the ball
Mar 18, 2015 8:28 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Jamari Lattimore visiting Jets today....that could thin us out even more at a very thin position
Mar 18, 2015 8:33 AM - 7thFloorRA: I am pretty sure the Pack has zero interest in retaining lattimore
Mar 18, 2015 8:34 AM - Pokerbrat2000: probably about as much as they wanted Jones and Hawk back....was thinking TT was waiting for no interest in him and sign him at minimum
Mar 18, 2015 8:36 AM - 7thFloorRA: I think he was already making the minimum. He would rather have thomas and hubbard on the active roster than lattimore blocking their path
Mar 18, 2015 8:42 AM - tynimiller: yup Lattimore proved he isn't worth having around.
Mar 18, 2015 9:23 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I like both Thomas and Hubbard's potential......let's just hope it isn't only potential :D
Mar 18, 2015 1:18 PM - Joe2887: Lol @ Greg Hardy's contract....
Mar 18, 2015 3:08 PM - SoonerPack: no joke joe2887...hardy just accosted them! cowboys are cowboys at the end of the day!
Mar 18, 2015 3:18 PM - Vltrophy: Rumor has it TT may sign Welker. I would rofl if it's Rodgers that gets Welker a SB ring not Brady or Manning
Mar 18, 2015 3:18 PM - 7thFloorRA: total scumbag. jerry has absolutely no shame or morals
Mar 18, 2015 3:28 PM - Pokerbrat2000: I love Welker.....but am on the fence with signing him..a good insurance policy but thought we were pretty deep at WR
Mar 18, 2015 4:17 PM - Vrill: Well, signing Welker allows McCarthy to get creative on offense with Cobb. We used Cobb all over the field toward the end of last season, backfield etc, but that meant we didn't have a slot threat in those packages. With Welker, we would. I think Welker makes our offense even more dynamic. But I suspect Welker will only have a limited role here.
Mar 18, 2015 4:19 PM - Vrill: Look at Welker as a TE of sorts......but instead of a TE, hes a WR. So he'd play a lot in 4-wide sets.
Mar 18, 2015 5:59 PM - sjb12681: the need isn't for another pass catcher. people need to stop with the madden/fantasy football talk. the need is for a big body who WANTS to block, and CAN catch a football. its not about having another wr to catch. please stop looking at te like its a pass catcher. they need to at least be 6'2" 220 and able to use their hands and feet
Mar 18, 2015 6:00 PM - sjb12681: not to run and catch, but to have proper hand technique and footwork to block, but still be a target to catch the ball when needed. first and foremost a tight end is an extra lineman, not wr.
Mar 18, 2015 6:02 PM - sjb12681: if wes welker was 6 inches taller, and 40 lbs heavier, I would think this was OK, sight unseen given our situation at tight end. without? is he really anything other than a name in our wr corp?

Mar 18, 2015 at 6:03 PM - sjb12681: at this stage in his career, if we even put him in that situation, could he even outrun underneath on te routes a lb? this is an asinine conversation
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:05 PM - Vrill: Well..apparently there is interest there per rumors...its not fans saying it...its the media.....no Madden/Fantasy talk here.....
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:07 PM - Vrill: and Welker still caught 49 balls last year despite being extremely limited......
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:12 PM - Vrill: and if we sign Welker, I trust TT and McCarthy's judgement over a fans ;)
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:14 PM - rodell330: Ÿea and trust that this would be a stupid signing!
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:31 PM - sjb12681: if you are reading free agency rumors you need to take them not with a grain, but a huge salt block. i trust TT as well. if this were to happen, it would be at vet minimum, 4 weeks from now, as a "show me" deal. the fantasy/madden talk was about welker in place of a te. as a standard 5 wr. that would simply be odd. not remarkable and new... just odd
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:33 PM - sjb12681: i say we start a "packers rumors since TT took over" thread.
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:35 PM - sjb12681: that would be a good read and walk down memory lane. keep inind green bay while small market still has beat writers who need stories. not all are coming from 1265 Lombardi ave
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:39 PM - Pokerbrat2000: If we started a thread just for rumors, predictions and peoples ideas on running the Packers......the rest of this place would be empty :D just saying
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:43 PM - NelsonsLongCatch: Any time the Packers are linked to a free agent it should be considered a "rumor"
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:43 PM - sjb12681: not forward looking. more like "where's waldo" on all the great packers rumors from the last 8 years.

Mar 18, 2015 at 6:50 PM - NelsonsLongCatch: In defense of the Rodgers-Moss rumor, Rodgers was not yet the starter and the there was an "idea" that Favre had one more Super Bowl run in him.
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:56 PM - sjb12681: let's not forget how we were trading for Jason Taylor at one point:
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:56 PM - sjb12681: http://dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachp...jt-packers-trade-rumors-seem-to-have-fizzled/
Mar 18, 2015 at 6:58 PM - sjb12681: point being... rumors mean nothing. they do not price or point to anything. the only rumors in the last 10 years worth print were moss at draft time which we got up ended for by the pats and lynch getting showcased against us a week before going to the seahawks. everything else is blah and should be treated as such

Mar 18, 2015 at 10:43 PM - Narveson: Holy crap, the comments in that Moss for Rodgers trade rumor link had me crying with laughter.
Mar 18, 2015 at 11:17 PM - Vrill: Hardy is still facing a suspension at the start of next year. The league has not punished him yet. If you read the fine print, its a very strange game to game type contract...like Jones suspects a suspension is coming
Mar 19, 2015 at 2:11 AM - Luca: Or this one: "the Raiders cannot possibly want Rodgers over Russel and Quinn" :D
Mar 19, 2015 at 2:14 AM - Luca: And this one tops it all: "Aaron Rodgers is one of the worst QB's in the NFL. Nobody would trade for him. Even a seventh-Round pick."
Mar 19, 2015 at 5:58 AM - Green and Gold: This is one hell of a defensive reboot. Starters AND the depth are gone.
Mar 19, 2015 at 6:54 AM - Pokerbrat2000: almost have to expect TT to bring in some FA's to fill the gaps.......unless he thinks he can do it with PS and draft
Mar 19, 2015 at 8:07 AM - Pokerbrat2000: anyone read the proposal on "an extra point attempt rewarded after a successful 2 point conversion"? are they kidding?
Mar 19, 2015 at 8:48 AM - longtimefan: Wasn't tramon the only starter?? Was AJ and Brad back ups? I seem to recall huge majority of people wanted two of those guys gone.. Now people are panicking ??
Mar 19, 2015 at 8:58 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Personally, I'm looking more at the #'s that are gone from the defense and how thin we got at 3 positions. I'm not panicking.....just waiting to see what TT does to fill all the vacancies
Mar 19, 2015 at 9:05 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Besides but maybe including Tramon, Packers got rid of some dead wood in the off season.....will be fun to watch how the defense is replanted so to speak
Mar 19, 2015 at 9:15 AM - desertdog55: Doesn't matter what TT does or doesn't do, there will always be second guessers.....He knows a litttle more about how to run a team than we do. Also, there are some things that are not in his control.
Mar 19, 2015 at 9:44 AM - Joe2887: Best line of that "AROD for MOSS Read" ... ."To all Raider fans : WE DON'T NEED AARON ROGERS! We need a future franchise quaterback like J. Russel" Bahaha
Mar 19, 2015 at 10:13 AM - longtimefan: lol--shall we go back in our own forum and see how people re acted to this rumor?
Mar 19, 2015 at 10:17 AM - longtimefan: https://www.packerforum.com/threads/rumors-fly-of-rodgers-for-moss.9040/#post-137226
Mar 19, 2015 at 10:18 AM - longtimefan: i thinkmost of thge posters there are gone..and the ones that wante Rodgers gone were PURE Brett Fans and were Brett supporters through out the whole 08 drama
Mar 19, 2015 at 10:27 AM - pacmaniac: @pokerbrat there are definitely some idiotic proposals, like that one you mentioned. No other sport would consider such radical rule changes, only the NFL would
Mar 19, 2015 at 11:02 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Nice memory lane and thanks for the link LTF.....here is my favorite from it ...."Rodgers is just taking up roster spots......We need to dump him...We all know that he is not a franchise QB, he may be decent at best, but he wont take us in the direction we need to go....Im not saying he is bad and wouldnt be a decent starter, but he is no Philip Rivers, Jay Cutler, Matt Leinart, or Vince Young..."
Mar 19, 2015 at 11:04 AM - Pokerbrat2000: the guy who posted that really knew his stuff, but he was right....Rodgers is definitely no Jay Cutler!
Mar 19, 2015 at 12:37 PM - Green and Gold: Defense really shouldn't be a big concern. Our offense is rock solid and only improving, and our defense should at least be no worse than last year.. and that got us to the Conference game.
Mar 19, 2015 at 12:42 PM - rodell330: And it also got us beat haha smh
Mar 19, 2015 at 12:43 PM - rodell330: Should be concerned ...as good as Seattle is on defense our defense got shredded the last 5 minutes of the game.
Mar 19, 2015 at 1:21 PM - Pokerbrat2000: especially on the road.....when our defense crumbles on the road.....seems to effect the play of the offense and the outcome of the game
Mar 19, 2015 at 1:47 PM - dbain21: Dejuan Harris to the vikings....lol
Mar 19, 2015 at 1:52 PM - longtimefan: Again blaming def for collapse-- no blme on offesnse to get a 1st down --
Mar 19, 2015 at 1:54 PM - Pokerbrat2000: Minnesota may need to change their name to "Moldy Cheese Curds"
Mar 19, 2015 at 1:58 PM - longtimefan: Or the two st blunders -- w/o st we win yet only def is the prob
Mar 19, 2015 at 1:58 PM - Pokerbrat2000: LTF.....Arguably, it would be nice if the offense could sustain drives and the defense is rarely on the field, but that just doesn't happen every series. Maybe the old adage of "Defenses Win Championships" isn't fully true, but if your defense is only average, its going to loose you some games when the offense isn't clicking on all cylinders, which we see happen from time to time.
Mar 19, 2015 at 2:05 PM - Green and Gold: GB's Defense dominated the Seahawks offense for most of the game. I realize Bostick screwed up, but I like to blame that loss on Sloccum.
Mar 19, 2015 at 2:10 PM - Pokerbrat2000: blame all over the place for that loss....its behind us. I'm just putting my faith in TT that some new faces on defense will make them even better
Mar 19, 2015 at 2:14 PM - Green and Gold: I think we'll also see some improvement in the play of many of the young guys we have on defence and that will make a big difference as well.
Mar 19, 2015 at 2:15 PM - Green and Gold: With TT and MM running this team, there's no reason to worry. If they started having to make decisions so they could keep their jobs, though, that's when you can worry because they'll be thinking short term, not long term.
Mar 19, 2015 at 2:40 PM - Pokerbrat2000: agreed
Mar 19, 2015 at 3:19 PM - Vltrophy: Didn't know Packers cut Harris until I saw that vikings signed him
Mar 19, 2015 at 3:34 PM - Carl: Wasn't cut, just not resigned.

Mar 19, 2015 10:07 PM - longtimefan: Andrew Brandt told Milwaukee 1250 am bill micheals that he would give an A for packers moves
Mar 20, 2015 12:01 AM - Green and Gold: I liked DuJuan and thought he had potential.
Mar 20, 2015 12:01 AM - Green and Gold: Good luckHarris! (except for 2 games a year)
Mar 20, 2015 7:54 AM - rodell330: Lol an A? Wow doesn't sound like homerism one bit.
Mar 20, 2015 8:06 AM - Pokerbrat2000: What moves? Signing 2 of their own?
Mar 20, 2015 8:07 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Granted, getting both Cobb and Bulaga back is huge......but an A?
Mar 20, 2015 8:07 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Maybe it was because of the fact that both came back for less then what others were reported to be offering?
Mar 20, 2015 8:14 AM - longtimefan: According to him -- Cobb had two teams willing to go to 12 mill per year
Mar 20, 2015 8:21 AM - Pokerbrat2000: He must have had good insight into Greg Jennings situation lol Glad he chose the Packers, no matter what anyone else may have offered
Mar 20, 2015 8:23 AM - longtimefan: http://media.1057fmthefan.com/devic...drew-brandt-joins-the-bill-michaels-show.htm?
Mar 20, 2015 8:30 AM - longtimefan: Posters wanted jones and AJ gone-- they are .. Posters wanted Cobb and bulaga back so they are .. Yet posters are still ticked off .. Every year it's sane
Mar 20, 2015 8:32 AM - longtimefan: Same thing - when will posters finally understand that packers will do it this way all the time
Mar 20, 2015 8:32 AM - longtimefan: Insanity is acting same way - expecting diff results --
Mar 20, 2015 8:37 AM - pacmaniac: What are the Vikings doing, seriously? Why do they sign EVERY former Packer. (Not saying Harris isn't a good player)
Mar 20, 2015 8:37 AM - Pokerbrat2000: We cut the cheese....they inhale
Mar 20, 2015 8:39 AM - Pokerbrat2000: but a more serious comment.......My guess is that the Viking staff know the Packers players better then most in the NFL, since they play and scout us twice a year. We are also a better team, so our 3rd stringers may become their 2nd or 1st string
Mar 20, 2015 8:40 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Not to mention having players with full knowledge of the Packer system come to their team, is pretty beneficial to future scouting....they grabbed some of our defense, now its time to get the offensive prospective
Mar 20, 2015 8:43 AM - Jimbo: How much useful info can an offensive player joining the Vikings give on the Packers?
Mar 20, 2015 8:44 AM - Pokerbrat2000: specific plays, formations, audibles, tendancies, etc
Mar 20, 2015 8:45 AM - Jimbo: So with Bostick & Harris now Vikings will this mean a lot of changes for Rodgers & Co?
Mar 20, 2015 8:46 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Probably no more then normal......I would think audibles are changed quite often and new formations and plays put in, but when it comes to playing the Packers, you know the staff will turn to them for any scrap of information they can get
Mar 20, 2015 8:48 AM - Jimbo: I'm sure we'll still give them 2 tonkings next season. & from what we heard on Bostick he struggled to grasp anything anyway!
Mar 20, 2015 8:48 AM - adambr2: That's fine, it was obvious from Bostick's time here that he didn't know anything about any playbook.
Mar 20, 2015 8:50 AM - Jimbo: & even if he did he ignored it anyway.
Mar 20, 2015 8:50 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I think if it was strictly for information, they would have grabbed Hawk and in my mind I was thinking Bostick was defense LOL......obviously special teams and offense
Mar 20, 2015 8:51 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Hopefully they will have Bostick help coach their special teams
Mar 20, 2015 8:53 AM - rodell330: Ok so the guy signed two of our own..and cut ties with two guys that should've been gone years ago. Whoopty doo!! A? For making moves out of just common sense? Fill the holes on defense that have been an issue for Yrs please .
Mar 20, 2015 8:54 AM - Jimbo: What?
Mar 20, 2015 8:55 AM - Pokerbrat2000: I agree Rodell.....B at best, but more like a C+ We just have to hope those fixes come in the way of the draft and player development.
Mar 20, 2015 8:56 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Reference to Andrew Brandt's grading of the Packers offseason moves as an "A"
Mar 20, 2015 9:07 AM - longtimefan: Why believe they will sign def players ??? As stated before- expecting diff results is just insanity--come to terms on how and why they do what they do and your blood pressure stays normal
Mar 20, 2015 9:09 AM - longtimefan: As far as ex packers going to Vikings and help them beat us with insider info-- other than Brett's 1st year-- ex packers don't do anything to help .. Jennings? How did that work? Mm and capers and Rodgers will adjust
Mar 20, 2015 9:16 AM - Jimbo: Cheers, was interested to know the impact of ex players going to rivals. some helpful responses in here
Mar 20, 2015 9:33 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Well with the team the Vikings had the last few years, I don't think even having our playbook would have made much difference in the outcome of the games :coffee:
Mar 20, 2015 10:07 AM - Pokerbrat2000: Nate Irving to the Colts.....not sure I would have wanted to see the Packers pay that much.....but cross one more ILB off the FA list

Mar 20, 2015 at 3:11 PM - Vltrophy: In Louisiana if u **** a kid u can get the death penalty. I don't the girl Sharper ***** was a kid
Mar 20, 2015 at 4:16 PM - PackwillBEback: No you can't
Mar 20, 2015 at 4:16 PM - PackwillBEback: That was ruled unconstitutional.
Mar 20, 2015 at 4:45 PM - adambr2: I know it's still 'on the books' in some jurisdictions and the military, but it hasn't happened. One or two guys in Louisiana over recent years got the death penalty for **** but as PackwillBEback mentioned it ended up being reversed by the courts as unconstitutional.
Mar 20, 2015 at 4:47 PM - adambr2: Sharper is not going to get the death penalty. Not an iota of a chance. Rest of his life behind bars, hard not to see that as a possibility.
Mar 20, 2015 at 4:59 PM - Vltrophy: All that money & likely spending a minimum of 30 yrs in prison

Mar 21, 2015 at 6:34 AM - PackerDNA: I considered them resigning Cobb and Bulaga making this a good offseason, and that anything else would be icing on the cake. However, there are still glaring holes, and as of now nothing being done with options running out.
Mar 21, 2015 at 7:42 AM - 7thFloorRA: He has to do something. He has too much money left. He can't roll over 15 mil or whatever is left after the rookies sign?
Mar 21, 2015 at 9:18 AM - Raptorman: I think it's funny, RB's don't matter but the Colts are winners in FA because they picked up Gore.
Mar 21, 2015 at 9:19 AM - Raptorman: And the Bills as well. Winners in FA because they picked up McCoy.
Mar 21, 2015 at 10:07 AM - rodell330: I'd like to ask these folks giving the Packers an A for FA what they are thinking.
Mar 21, 2015 at 10:10 AM - rodell330: Only thing TT has done was jeep the offense in tact...that's it.
Mar 21, 2015 at 10:10 AM - rodell330: Keep*

Mar 21, 2015 at 9:16 PM - Green and Gold: There are a few players we could take with our 1st round pick, but what we need most is an ILB. We could trade down quite a ways and likely still get an ILB.
Mar 21, 2015 at 9:17 PM - Green and Gold: Ted knows how to get value out of his picks. If the top player on his board isn't worth 30 when the time comes, he'll trade down and try to snag him where he sees fit.
Mar 21, 2015 at 9:21 PM - Green and Gold: You can't really speculate a trade down with Ted.
Mar 21, 2015 at 9:22 PM - Green and Gold: We need a few good players not a lot of average players.
Mar 21, 2015 at 9:22 PM - Green and Gold: I'm all for a move back about 10 spots, which would be great value for ILB, DT, and CB if that's where we decided to go.
Mar 21, 2015 at 9:41 PM - 7thFloorRA: it all depends on what happens. I think TT thrives with really late picks where he can maneuver and play off other teams. The top 15 area scares me with him....thankfully he is rarely in it.
Mar 22, 2015 at 4:52 AM - rodell330: He still has a horrible track record when it comes to picking guys on defense in the first round ..doesn't matter where he picks. I'd honestly rather him go offense and go defense in the second .
Mar 22, 2015 at 4:57 AM - rodell330: Or trade the pick and try to get a proven guy like Von Miller, Vernon Davis, Mohammed Wilkerson, or Bobby Wagner.
Mar 22, 2015 at 4:59 AM - Dan115: he likes to gather draft picks
Mar 22, 2015 at 7:30 AM - adambr2: Why would the Seahawks or Broncos want to try a young stud defensive player for a very late first?
Mar 22, 2015 at 9:48 AM - Green and Gold: Lets say both Kendricks and Phillips are off the board, then who do we pick? Another ILB? A CB? These are positions we can get later.
Mar 22, 2015 at 1:50 PM - rodell330: Expiring contracts...that's why. I think both guys have 1 yr left and then they are free agents.
Mar 22, 2015 at 4:21 PM - Vrill: I can't wait to see Paul Dawson's pro day #s....I bet its worlds better than his combine...

Mar 23, 2015 7:29 AM - ivo610: Why would they want to lose those players?
Mar 23, 2015 7:55 AM - rodell330: It's always about money..can you afford to resign those guys? Seahawks have to resign Wilson and they might have to Dj something about jimmy grahAms contract. They won't be able to afford Wagner.
Mar 23, 2015 8:23 AM - PackerDNA: I keep hearing how the Seahawks are doomed, but I ain't seein' it. They'll get Wilson done, Wagner too, and pulled off a bold move to get a difference maker in Graham. Like Carroll and Schneider said recently, they won't be able to participate in UFA like they have in the past, but they'll be fine.
Mar 23, 2015 8:28 AM - rodell330: With a defense like that and jimmy graham? Yea I can easily see them in a third straight NFC title
Mar 23, 2015 8:29 AM - tynimiller: If Wilson turns things over to his agent 100% sure he'll get a ridiculous amount for his skills in my opinion....but Wilson himself isn't the type of guy to crave money. I see a high but reasonable contract...nothing like some of the speculation.
Mar 23, 2015 8:30 AM - rodell330: Sometimes it's hard for me to believe Schneider was an under study of TT. They are polar opposites in regards to the moves they make
Mar 23, 2015 8:33 AM - rodell330: TT has this draft and develop mentality while Schneider isn't afraid to bring in guys to make immediate impact. Not bashing TT but he could learn a lot from Scheinder. It's ok to add vets who can play.
Mar 23, 2015 8:38 AM - PackerDNA: I see a little of Wolf and TT in Schneider, but mostly him putting his own stamp on things. He seems to be more open to using any and all avenues to improve his team.
Mar 23, 2015 8:42 AM - tynimiller: Okay...outside Patriots what team has seen success year in and year out with bringing in overpriced or high priced FAs? TT has proven to field a team that is in the running year in and year out....which is a lot more than can be said for many teams that break bank in FA. Again though it is worth repeating he broke a ton off in Cobb/Bulaga this year.
Mar 23, 2015 8:46 AM - Kitten: I think Cobb proved to be well worth the price. Bulaga is coming along nicely, too.
Mar 23, 2015 9:06 AM - Carl: The Patriots don't even overpay for free agents often.
Mar 23, 2015 9:07 AM - Carl: They gambled last offseason and it paid off. It could hurt them now though by having to give rid of Wilfork and both corners.
Mar 23, 2015 10:27 AM - rodell330: I doubt it... They once went to a SB with Devon Mccourty and Kyle Arrington as starting corners...and one was a rookie!! That's not a good example.
Mar 23, 2015 10:44 AM - rodell330: If you have a guy who's running the defense who knows what's he's doing? Then you can compensate for having average corners. We don't have that luxury. We need good players everywhere and for or offense to score points in bunches.
Mar 23, 2015 10:45 AM - rodell330: Capers would've been fired already anywhere else I can almost guarantee you that .
Mar 23, 2015 10:48 AM - 7thFloorRA: This sharper case is crazy. It looks like he is going to get 4 concurrent 8-10 yr sentences and possibly be out in 3 years.
Mar 23, 2015 10:51 AM - 7thFloorRA: Cosby must make him look like a lightweight in their eyes.
Mar 23, 2015 10:58 AM - greenandgold: Gives whole new meaning to the hardest hitting safety in the league I guess.
Mar 23, 2015 1:06 PM - 7thFloorRA: at least Louisiana gave him 20 years.
Mar 23, 2015 1:25 PM - desertdog55: Some people just wouldn't be happy without something to ***** about.
Mar 23, 2015 2:50 PM - MiamiBeachPacker: Of course
Mar 23, 2015 4:26 PM - ivo610: All in all Schneider is lucky on a couple fronts. The harvin trade was terrible in every aspect. The issue wish lynch is embarassing and if was in a more media driven city would kill the team. Also the Flynn deal was terrible.
Mar 23, 2015 5:49 PM - desertdog55: Schneider is nowhere near TT as a GM
Mar 23, 2015 6:32 PM - PackerDNA: Schneider has as many super bowl wins and twice the appearances as TT in 1/2 the time. They may go about some things differently, but I wouldn't say Schneider is nowhere near TT.
Mar 23, 2015 7:00 PM - desertdog55: ivo610 is correct...Schneider is more lucky than good. Not saying that can't change because he is younger than TT...taking "chances" sometimes pays off, and sometimes doesn't. Consistency and time will be the judge of how good a GM he is.
Mar 23, 2015 7:03 PM - Cheesehead625: Anyone who says Schneider is just lucky is just being ridiculous. The guy has put together one hell of a team and it wasn't all luck. He's lost players and replaced them and stayed competitive.
Mar 23, 2015 7:10 PM - rodell330: Lol I can't believe someone said Scheinder is nowhere the gM TT is? BAhaha ! Man you guys crack me up smh. The Seahawks were garbage before he got there and they are one of the dumbest play calls in SB history away from hoisting back to back Lombardi trophys. Wake up ppl Please
Mar 23, 2015 7:14 PM - rodell330: You think if Schneider was here Rodgers would only have 1 ring? No way not a chance. Schneider has built a great defense in Seattle while TT is looking up at him. Admit it .
Mar 23, 2015 7:32 PM - desertdog55: Seriously, let's take last year for the Seahawks. Hardly a dominant season for them. They had a run at the end of the year, and had it not been for injuries for the Cardinals, might not have even made the playoffs. Also, you can't say luck didn't play a part in last year's NFC Championship game....admit it. Like I said, we will see what happens in the next couple of years...
Mar 23, 2015 7:32 PM - desertdog55: He has exactly ONE superbowl win.
Mar 23, 2015 7:32 PM - desertdog55: so far.
Mar 23, 2015 8:40 PM - rodell330: Just like TT who has been a Gm longer...the big difference is Schneidner has more SB appearances though. That's the number ppl pay attention to.
Mar 23, 2015 8:44 PM - Shawnsta3: Ted went to another too; only as a slightly lesser role of VP of Football Operations.
Mar 23, 2015 8:51 PM - rodell330: I'm basing this strictly as having the title of GM and GM only...
Mar 23, 2015 8:53 PM - rodell330: Ppl don't talk about VP of football operations winning SB's.
