When they hired Gute I said that it would probably take two years (at least) to fix the defense. They tried to address the secondary this last offseason, presumably this offseason they will focus on the pass rush.

This game with the Redskins so far is also bringing out another concern: That this is a very different team at home and on the road.

I've never been that impressed with our offensive line. Supposedly we have good pass blockers (when healthy). But IMO, a good offensive line should blow people off the ball and open holes, resulting in a good running game. So maybe they get half credit.

For years, the question was "Is it TT or is it Capers"? We might be getting closer to that answer.
Seriously, I'm far from giving up on Pettine, but it doesn't appear he has all the tools to work with.
As I said earlier, fixing this defense was going to take more than one offseason, unfortunately. Add another year of Rodgers prime lost.
