I'd like to take the opportunity to thank you for your appreciation of Jack Vainisi. It makes me sad to know how few people remember him and appreciate the huge role he played in bringing about the golden years of Packer football.

Thanks for that. When I joined this board I considered Vainisi and George Calhoun (co-founder of the franchise). “Every” Packers fan knows who Lambeau and Lombardi were but few know about Vainisi and Calhoun. I picked Vainisi because I’m lucky enough to have watched the Lombardi Packers, but in spite of what one poster here believes, I wasn’t around for the founding of the franchise.
