Yes. I actually remember that game well. I can tell you where I was (Buffalo Wild Wings, Roanoke Va) The people I was with weren’t big Footbsll fans but i was decked in Packer gear.

I really think we just let our guard down to be truthful. It’s hard to go
13-0 and lock up a #1 Seed and not celebrate early.
I actually went down to see that game. Decent weather for December. Nice parking complex, comfortable seats, and hospitable fans. Packers seemed to wish they could have the week off. Like going to work when you do not feel like it.

Detroit sleepwalked through the Bears game and should have paid a price. But the "Double-Doink Syndrome" saved them. Didn't save Eberflus - but at least he can be home with family for Christmas.
Or to look at it another way: Winning teams win, and losing teams lose. Because that's what they know how to do.

O oh. How can I forget. I went through that and my Wife left me in the same month! I wrote a Tune (not a song because I didn’t pair this one with lyrics or Singing) that week. All Paired Photos compliment of the Packers.com

Good point. They were 15-1 that year. Who beat them in the playoffs? And was that 2011-2012, the year after the SB win? Thanks HE.
Yes, the year after the SB. We get derailed by a wild card. A 15-1 season made it looked like a Dynasty was coming. The Giants showed all of us what defense was that year. And they did get lucky against the Pats.

That was a very fun season, until it wasn't. About as much fun as you can have without winning it all. I guess the Giants had to show us what defense was though, because GB sure didn't have one.

The Giants! Damn they beat us in an NFCCG in GB as well. Favre was still QB and threw one of his game-killing INTs, I think in OT. It was very cold and the Giants prevailed and won the SB. Tom Coughlin's nose looked like it needed to be amputated it was so damn cold.

And then after that game/season, didn't Favre announce his first retirement from football? I think he retired and unretired 3 times. He unretired after the Packers had designated Rodgers as the QB and well after the draft. What a farce. He had an unforgettable season with the Jets and then two v good seasons w/ the queens. If my memory is right, he threw another INT in the NFCCG against the Saints and the Saints went on to win the SB.

Yes, it was about minus 3 at kickoff. It felt colder. Giants missed several FGs before they finally hit the one. They stopped our run game and we could not get anyone free over the middle. A roughing the passer penalty on Nick Collins as well as a holding penalty on Al Harris killed us in the 2nd half. GMen even fumbled their own INT that we recovered. Then they fumbled a punt near midfield in the last 2 minutes but we did everything but land on it. That could have and should have been the winner for us.
