Please. Their pass rush and Earl Thomas defined that defense. Remember 2016 when the Seahawks had that shutdown defense? ET got hurt, we played them the next week and put up darn near 40 because Rodgers could throw downfield without ET there. Their defensive ppg went up 9 without ET. Wagner was playing during that stretch. Wagner has missed 9 games in his career with the defense being 3 ppg worse when he's out.

Yeah fool. I was at that game. I also lived in Seattle during there big run and Thomas was elite no doubt and stirred the drink in rhe secondary. He turned out to be a lil ***** though and Wagner emerged as the leader of the D and still is. He is the heartbeat of that defense. Go talk to anyone connected in Seattle. Bobby is there guy.

I really donr have time for all this.

Sure, maybe Wagner is the leader. I won't claim to know team leadership hierarchy.

But the stats backup that ET mattered more to that defense than Wagner. That the defense only lost about 3 ppg without Wagner. A FG's worth.

Meanwhile ET was at 9 ppg. Triple what Wagner was.

that link shows Turner is average? It's an orange color

You said below average?

Fine. He is on the fringe of medicority at 62. Something.

I really hope he and these other guys work out and I'm glad the Packers actually did something.

I just don't see any of this as a slam dunk.

Its clear they took a shot on these guys because there younger but there all getting there first big contract.

Hey Brandon!

Since you like PFF so much, did you know that Landon Collins graded out at a 70.4, which came out to be the 39th safety?!

And Adrian Amos came out with a grade of 82.7, the 8th best safety?!

Wow! I just figured since you're using PFF for Billy Turner, you'd probably want to use it for Landon Collins too. :)

Every team roster is like a puzzle. It takes an entire staff to put that puzzle together. There’s not one poster in here that truly knows the half of why they picked these specific players. I don’t pretend to know because I’m not putting the puzzle together because it’s not in 300 pieces, it’s in variables on the level of 10,000 pieces.

Now you or I may like or dislike a particular player, but our pee brains dont have the combined 642 years of drafting and financial experience to construct and simultaneously desconstruct a 53+10 roster. We havnt even started on the next 3,500 piece section of the puzzle and already we’ve condemned nearly every piece we just laid on the table. That’s ludicrous and totally unreasonable. Any poster saying that none of these players are any good this early only shows me how minute our knowledge is in the championship roster building arena.

Can we please chill out and let others enjoy an amazing and historical day for once in our fleeting lifetime.
That said, please don’t make me change my avatar again Gute!

It sure was a fun day yesterday. I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed it, as did many other of the packer-faithful I'm sure.

How it will all shake out in the coming season remains to be seen. Unless you're paid to do so, there's not much sense in fretting about it now.

As for your avatar, one way of never being forced to change it is to go with one of the Packers all-time greats......There are plenty to choose from, and the never go out of style....

When you put Za'Darius at DT, since that's where he plays on 3rd downs the majority of the time, he's a plus athlete. But yeah, definitely not the athlete they've been taking lately.

Some players' tests dont accurately reflect their actual physical skills. I think that is the case with Za'darius.

The physical/athletic talent was a factor in why I favored Preston Smith when trying to decide between the two. However, that was basically a tie breaker for me. As you said, once you have four years of game tape in the NFL, you don't have to project based on combine numbers. Za'Darius is a technician who wins with power on the edge and quickness inside. He's going to be a fun player for Pettine to deploy.

my god Brandon give it a rest, you sound worse than Rodell after the HC announcement, but at least he knew the differences between there, their and they're.

whats the point in having a GAME CHANGER, when it's to the detriment of the rest of the team. gute's job is to build a team that MLF can put out on the field and win, and so far this looks like a good step. a game changer might be worth +/- 4 points a game, but a better team could be worth +/- 7 points per game, i know what i would rather have

Like Rodell was, you are perfectly entitled to your opinion on possible people coming in and whether any signings made are to your liking. but after a couple of posts it just gets to be spam in my eyes. make your point then get over it. if any of us knew what we were doing, we'd be the ones at 1265 doing gutes job

Antonio Brown. Would of won a Super Bowl here on his way to the HOF. GAME CHANGER

The $ got spent. We just spent it on the wrong guys.

I'll sit here and drink coffee while you tell me the last big time diva WR won a super bowl.

How'd it work for Cooks the last two years? What about Julio the year before that? How many years back to you have to go before the next diva? 2008? Randy Moss? How did that work out? Owens?

How well did it work out for DThomas? Jeffrey? Edelman? Branch? Fitz? Ward? Boldin? Welker? Guy that aren't breaking the bank and go out and perform every week with very little locker room distractions. Bunch of team players, not egocentric cry babies.

Maybe 2003 with Keyshawn? Seems like he is more so the exception not the rule.

How many superbowls did he win with BigBen and Le'veon Bell? stacked with that Pittsburgh defense.

Sometimes the low hanging fruit just looks good enough to eat, I guess.

Whatever. We have done what we have done because we have had the biggest GAME CHANGER in the entire NFL "Aaron Rodgers". He has repersented much more then +4 points a game over his tenure so if you eliminte Rodgers were the door mat of the NFL.

The problem is everyone got FAT on it and they have failed to make any other personnel moves to bring in any additional GAME CHANGERS.

It makes simple sense/logic to put as many GAME CHANGERS around your ELITE GAME CHANGER and stack up Super Bowls. The Packers have failed to do that. Now were on some Boom or Bust defensive sellout.

John Dorsey would of had this offense ready to break records. BOTtOM LINE!

Even if you go back to 2010 that team was loaded wirh GAME CHANGERS on both sides of the ball. Were not even close right now unless these FA moves BOOM.

I WANT GAMECHANGERS!

Enjoy your Coffee.

John Dorsey had an incredible amount of cap space and crap tons of early round picks walking through the door in order to make things happen for Cleveland. But they haven't made the playoffs as of yet. A lot of personalities in that locker room right now.

We spent the $ and had the picks to do close to the same damn thing.

He did it in KC too. Loser too playoffs in his first season there.

He is responsible for both Mahommes in KC and Mayfield in Cleveland. The guy has a genius eye for talent. Especially on the offensive side.

We weren't anywhere comparable to what Dorsey walked into in Cleveland. Cleveland had a boatload of cap and picks. Brandon does struggle with math though, so it makes sense why he thinks it's the same.

Hey Brandon ol pal!

I noticed you used PFF to say that Billy Turner was below average, mediocre...did you see where they had that GAME CHANGER Landon Collins ranked? Something like 70 overall, and the 39th best safety! Wow!!

Or does PFF not count this time? Just curious, since you did use it before.

Didn't say it was the same. I said we have enough needed to get close. If you think John Dorsey was here and our offensive talent looked as pathetic as it does now your a straight fool.
