Ummm, this is another example of what I see Seahawk fans do which is take some stat and not relate it to the context of the situation in the game. If you go back and watch the "tape" I think what you will find is Detroit tried to stop our run game with a 6 man box and they ended up joining the "bozo" club.

They made an adjustment and started to bring a safety down somewhere in the 3rd qtr to help slow down our run game which opened up the middle and "killing them with Cobb". Also, there were several Lacy runs at the end of the game where we were simply trying to run the clock out.

The bottom line: We dominated the LOS against Detroit as we came out and ran it right down there throat and I think they might of touched Rodgers in the passing game once. Oh, and that time Suh stepped on our QB's leg because he was so frustrated from getting beat by a 5th round rookie all day.

We've Seen and played Suh. What are you gonna do? Throw Kevin Williams at us? We seen that show against Minnesota last year.

Shouldn't you be more concerned about your centers "Glass Leg" right now more then throwing stones at our running game and O-line?

This is another thing I see Packer's fans do, which is throw up straw men and false realities to defend themselves. I made no mention of your o-line. I was simply breaking down the run game against Detroit since cheese head nation seems to think one average running game against the lions apparently means that they are going to run wild on the Seahawks.

And you guys wonder why Seattle fans resort to sounding jerky and arrogant.

Honestly, I don't have a lot of confidence going into this game. So if Green Bay does win, I'll be pleasantly surprised. Can the Packers win? Yes, they can. The old adage of Any Given Sunday applies here. But it'll be very very difficult. A lot of things will need to go Green Bay's way for them to pull out a victory. I will however go ahead and predict that whoever does win this game, will go on to win the Super Bowl.

GO PACK GO!

I don't think this is an "Any Given Sunday" situation. To me any given Sunday is when a clearly inferior team beats one that is heads and shoulders above it. We're talking a 2-13 type team knocking off a 13-2 team the last week of the season. I think the Seahawks are better but I don't think they are significantly better.

What gets me is how so many people talk like we have no chance but if we had them in Green Bay it would be a different situation entirely. I get that home field is important but you still have to be the better team (usually) to win the game. I just don't see where home field is enough to transform you into likely winning the game to not having a chance. Any team that would likely win at home should be considered to have some chance on the road.

The Lions? I know you guys think there insignificant because you got lucky and got to play Carolina but they did have the no.1 rated run defense. They held Demarco Murray to 75 yards just two weeks ago. We have had success running the ball regularly down the stretch as noted. This isn't some one game wonder running the football.

I've already broken down the game how I see it in previous posts and I am done breaking down the game. My cousin is flying in for this game and I have to pick him up soon. I am going to have to deal with you guys all day Sunday so I am checking out and will check in from time to time.

If you think were not capable of running the ball then you might be among some of the "schocked" come Sunday. Why don't you and all your fans go get tatoo's and everything else that says you have already won the Super Bowl like I see popping up all over the internet.

Go talk to someone else. I'm done talking to Seahawk fans. I am not gonna predict a score but I predict if we don't turn the ball over WE WILL WIN and everyone will have to run and get there tatoo's removed.

the way Seattle plays defense throwing lanes may be open but Kam Chancellor will be in the middle of the field. If you want to see guys going over the middle and catching the ball and getting blown up, we'll take that as a win.

Packer fans keep citing the Detroit game as evidence that they will be able to run, however it's interesting that in the first half of that game before Rodgers was hurt the Packers ran up 100+ yards on 17 carries for roughly 6.5 yards per carry, but after Rodgers went down and was no longer a mobile threat, the rush yards in the second half were nearly about 20 attempts for 40 yards / 2 yards per carry.

I know Chancellor is good, but not good enough to make up for biting on play fakes all by himself. There's no possible way biting on play fakes can be good for any defense.

Keys to beating the Seachickens.

5. BE AGGRESSIVE <- Playing conservative DOES NOT WORK on the seachickens. We have to play like how the Colts play them. The colts in reality is a bad match up for the Seachickens. Watch their previous games.

I expect a GB Upset at the Clink. Seattle is gonna cry a river of tears and we will head to the superbowl.

GUARANTEED.
GB - 35
Seattle - 7

Some of your stuff I agree with others not so much. I do agree with the be aggressive thing. You can't hope to be in a close one with these guys in the end and pull it out because their defense usually comes up big in those situations.

That forum isn't worth a Seachicken's **** getting sucked into a jet engine.

I joined it just to defend a post in which a poster say the Packers defense, "sucks dog balls." It's obvious to any rational fan than the Packers defense is much better than that. I didn't say there were great, but certainly did not suck and easily backed it up with stats and examples like doing better vs. Dallas than Seattle did.

It didn't matter. The Packers defense still sucks in their eyes. It's impossible to have a rational conversation on that forum being a Packer fan.

Supermen, maybe not, but I did hear a tidbit today that comes close to giving them the right to come out at Halftime with an big S on their chest. For the last 7 games, during the 2nd half the Seahawks outscored their opponents 120 to 20.

I don't believe that fan bases should be generalized. There are so many different types of fans in every single fan base that to generalize is just ridiculous. There are homer Seahawks fans, homer Packer fans, obnoxious Packer fans, obnoxious Seahawks fans. I've looked at the Seahawks board. Yeah, there are a lot of fans with their homer blinders on. But we have some here too, some claiming we're going to win by several touchdowns.

What does coming out at half-time with a Cleveland 'Steamer' on your chest gonna prove?

I agree with this post. Heck one of our posters told the other decent tho arrogant poster to shush. I think it will be a great game. I also am not sure if there is gonna be much in the realm of YAC. Seems that the Seahawk defense does a decent job of catching up to the offensive Wide receiver or TE after the catch. It is what history has shown for the most part this season. Good luck.

I find the conversation both the on Welcome Seahawks thread here, and the Welcome Packers thread on Seahawks.net very cordial. Good football talk mixed with a little bit of poking fun at each other but all in good fun and taste. On other threads, maybe some do go down the obnoxious path hiding behind the anonymity of an avatar and a made-up name - but that is the nature of social media. But still nothing come close to what I've seen on 49rs forums, and maybe you Packers fans are aware of how bad it can get on the Packers main rival's forum (the Bears I think).

Just thinking about this game makes me anxious. A good part of me is skeptical that the Pack have any chance against the 'Hawks, but the anxiety feeling in my gut usually means that in my heart I think there is somewhat of a chance that the Pack will at least make it a show. I hope they can impress beyond belief.

Here's to a good game. Outside of Rogers calf, both teams are coming in relatively healthy. At least as healthy as can be expected 18 games into the season. As a Nebraska Husker fan by birth, I feel an appreciation for the fervor with which Green Bay fans support their team, both in good and lean times. This is a good time so regardless of the outcome sit back and enjoy the process.

Seattle's run D is good but come sunday it is not going to be great because Lacy is going to run over 100 yards period. You'll see.

The Lions made some adjustments during half time to stop the run and let Matt Flynn (who actually started the second half) to beat them throwing the football. They continued have to success vs. the run when Rodgers returned to the game but weren´t able to contain #12 who went 11-of-13 for 129 yards and a TD.

I find it interesting that fans cry about other fans visiting their message boards putting down their team while the hosts demonize their opponents (seahawks.net is not immune to this either). I think people need to grow a thicker skin. I would think the hosts would love a little debate unless people want a broken record of praise from the choir so to speak.
Look around the boards. We have our own Packer fans who are far more critical and rude than anything I have seen from a Seahawk fan. What's funny is that some of the idiots posting rude things to the Seahawks fan are the ones who are the most over-the-top critics of the Packers.

I lived in Alaska and Spokane area for a bunch of years. Seattle was my No. 2 team - until they signed Carroll. Hate that guy! Then they signed Russell - my favorite non-packer so now I'm in flux. Most of my old friends from there are all Hawk fans and I am happy for them that they finally got to experience that feeling.

:)But once is enough and ot is our turn again. :p
