I think Rodgers was talking about himself. I counted no fewer than 6 passes in the first half that ranged from a little off target to a lot. That doesn't earn a "dud", though. He's still better than the vast majority on an off day.

All-in-all, a good team effort.
I was being a smart *** In response to some prior posts. In reality, I am always interested in what Rodgers has to say post game.

A word on Alexander:

He had a reputation of being a trash talker coming in. That's OK. Corners tend to do that. But he got into it with Benjamin early in the game with some shoving. Then if they hadn't thrown the flag on Martinez for taking off his helmet (stupid, by the way) they could have flagged Alexander for shoving Allen to the ground.

Yeah, it was ticky tacky stuff. Be that as it may, a player can run his mouth all day, get up in guys grills after the play, but laying hands on guys after the whistle is stupid. Sooner or later it's going get flagged.

Otherwise, nice game.

Josh is 6’5 and 240lbs vs Alexander is 5’10” 195lb and used his left hand to shove him. This happens in nearly every game and rarely gets called. Nice acting job by Josh tho.
That said, I agree it’s an opportunity to make sure it doesn’t progress any further though.

Studs: our D unit and particularly the young players coming off the bench for their contribution.
Aaron Jones coming back in seemless fashion
Fackrell finally had a coming out party.

Duds: lots of sloppy, dropped passes by the wideouts and TEs.
Regarding giving #12 a Dud?? He had over 300+ all purpose yards and that’s factoring out 50+ Yards of catchable dropped passes.
I only saw 1 true play that Aaron deserved to be picked (maybe even a pick 6) but moreso I saw at least 6-8 clearly catchable passes that we’re dropped. Of those at least 3-4 should’ve been hauled in...but we tried running before catching the ball or just had poor concentration in the TE or WR arena.

Nice game overall this was a positive day for us I’m glad our D got home we had Josh scrambling all day.. great coverage in that secondary was a big part of it.

The more touches for Aaron Jones, the better.

More drops today - Need to clean that up.

Jimmy Graham is becoming more of a factor, week by week.

A-Rodg looks a little rusty at times. Missed practices, brace on knee likely factors.

Keep your hat on, Blake.

Geronimo Allison is a legitimate NFL starting receiver. How did anyone not draft this guy?

Kyler Fackrell sighting - Nice! Now, do it two weeks in a row.

Pass rush, better. Again, do it two weeks in a row.

Buffalo is bad, really bad. Let's not get too giddy about this win.

Still, it's a win......Ask a Vikings fan.

Go Brewers!

They need to get ahead of this. These players need to be fined, and starting now. This isn't soccer or Hollywood. I know it won't be, but I hope it's addressed this offseason. 2 weeks, 2 flopping quarterbacks. There were probably others. 15yard penalties and fines donated to prepay for their after career acting classes. For now, they need to remain football players.

Studs - Martinez, Big Mike D, Alexander, Clark all the Defence and Shock Brice and Fackrell.
I think Byron Bell played quite well he maybe better suited as a guard.
Duds- The Receivers dropped a couple Scantling I think play Monty as a WR until we get Cobb and GMO back.

Ty is not a RB, you can see the huge drop off when you see Williams and Jones run vs him. I think Ty is much more suited as a slot receiver. They should use him as a Cobb type, where he comes in and if there's a mismatch them move him around presnap.

At this point in his career Montgomery is definitely better suited to line up at running back than as a receiver.

studs...Fackrell, Running backs, Davante, Martinez, Dix, Alexander, Jackson, The D.
Honorable mention Rodgers. Although he did not play well he showed guts and he ran for a couple of important 1st downs.

I think Alexander will turn into a great CB. Jackson seems to get beat pretty often, I'm not sure if he'll be good or not.

I would say another dud would be not being able to finish drives, Rodgers looked off and seemed once the field started to get short, they just couldn't make plays

I think eventually they Move Jackson to FS. Especially if King can come back and have an impact...but his health is always a concern smh.

Once again, with Jackson not having played safety at any point during his career I highly doubt the Packers plan to move him there.

Oh you mean like how Randall never played corner ...but was drafted in the first rd and converted to corner? And is now the starting FS for the Browns? Even tho he was a three year starter at FS in College but played 4 years as a corner here? But ok, position changes never happen in Green Bay. You guys crack me up haha

The Packers made a mistake having Randall play cornerback though. He was definitely best suited to line up at free safety.

Studs:
The defense. A shut out is a shut out, even against a weak team. Kudos to Pettine for rebounding after some wretched showings.
Crosby making long FGs. (Missed extra point - not good, but it happens once in a while.)
A. Jones. He's sort of like a not fat, faster Eddie Lacy with his ability to power forward and keep his balance. He needs a lot more carries.
Fackrell -- nice game.
I can't believe I'm typing this: Brice. A couple of good hard tackles. The guy seems better suited as a LB than a DB. I guess he's a tweener. But he has to be used that way. Don't put him back to cover the likes of Stephon Diggs or Julia Jones.

Duds: dropped passes

Stud/dud: Rodgers: off target several times, didn't see sack coming, but made plays when he had to, especially with his legs. He looked much more mobile to me today.

That’s not my point . My point is don’t t act like it’s out of the realm of possibility for Jackson to make a switch to FS because he’s currently a corner.

He basically said the offense sucked and they need to play better. He also
Mentioned they probably should’ve scored 40 points. Same thing I said

It's not impossible that the Packers decide to move Jackson to free safety but I wouldn't like it as in my opinion he's definitely better suited to play cornerback.

@rodell330 it's easy to click a red button and avoid debating someone.

Care to elaborate on what it is that you disagree with? Since apparently shutouts in the NFL are just so common that teams should be shutting the Bills out every single week.

I'm of two minds when it comes to Rodgers. On the one hand, it's amazing that he's played as well as he has through injury and kept the Packers afloat. On the other, he was definitely one of the weaker links yesterday from a pure production standpoint. Despite that, he still dropped some dimes that were wow throws and was impressive on his legs.

To me, he looked definitively healthier in what he was able to do. We can't know for sure, but it would appear he is improving. If it's an MCL, which it what everyone assumes, then it will get better with rest. It's possible that he's at or near 100% after the bye.

Allison had been the most consistent performer thru 3 weeks, today wasn’t great by him. I can forgive the sideline one, though I think he’s capable of catching that. But he had a couple others that need to be automatic but I think he knows this and will rebound from it

Allison is so far my biggest surprise on offense this season. I think he has really stepped his game up and bow to the powers who be that saw this was possible and Jordy was expendable because of it. I do think having Adams, Graham and Cobb distracting the defense has benefited Allison, but just in a bubble, Allison looks like he could be a keeper!

A word on Alexander:

He had a reputation of being a trash talker coming in. That's OK. Corners tend to do that. But he got into it with Benjamin early in the game with some shoving. Otherwise, nice game.

Alexander is my surprise on defense as providing the Packers more than I thought he might in his rookie year. As far as his trash talking, I don't mind a little "moxy" from the guy. I think this defense lacked personality under Capers and if it takes a guy like Alexander running his mouth a bit to defend and fire up his teammates, while backing it up with his play, I prefer having him in Green and Gold and making this defense feared.
