I'm going ahead and getting this started since I'm eager to see what surprises await week 2. Which teams prove week one was for real, and which was fools gold. Our scoreboard so far

El Guapo in front with 20
Mondio - 10
Poppa San - 10
GbGary - 10
Amish Mafia - 10
Me - 10

And the rules copied and pasted

----------------------------------------------------------

1 point for 1 game picked correctly

2 for at least 2 right

3 for at least 3 right

4 for at least 4

Get at least half the week's picks right 10 points

Get 75℅ or more right 20 points

Miss only one pick 40 points

Get them all right and it's 50 points

And then guessing the correct score of games WITH THE CORRECT WINNERS

Get the final score right on one or more of your predictions and that's 100 points for each one you get right.

If you get very very lucky to get all the scores right, that's a 3000 point jackpot.

And you can make your pick for any game at any time up until Kickoff. Once it's kicked off and you haven't picked though, you lose your prediction on that game.

--------------------------------------------------------

Still awaiting the arrival of CaptainWIMM and MBP (who was in the shoutbox last Sunday). For anyone else though, it's not too late to join in.

And here's my picks:

Tomorrow:
Panthers 23 Bucs 7 - New HC but same old story so far in Tampa

Sunday Early Slot
US 21 Vikes 17 - I don't have a good feeling about this one and probably wrong, but I will not ever pick Minny against the green and gold, they're an abomination

Giants 20 Bills 14 - A 50/50 game that could go either way

Pats 48 Dolphins 0 - Essentially a bye week for the blue, red and silver, and should get a look at Brady's backup

Steelers 24 Seahawks 17 - Steelers have to prove they can bounce back

Bengals 35 49ers 24 - both teams looked pretty good on the road last week, but got the feeling the Bengals will hold victorious here

Ravens 31 Cardinals 24 - I personally would love to call the upset for the red birds in this one ... But I can't do that without taking too much risk.

Chargers 28 Lions 14 - Big dose of reality about to hit Detroit in this one

Cowboys 27 Redskins 20 - Another one that could go either way just because this is a rivalry and crazy things happen. Right now though, I trust Dak and company more than I do Case Keenum

Colts 26 Titans 21 - Solid outing on the road for the Colts last week, and they want to tell Mariota he is overrated garbage

Texans 37 Jags 20 - tough road ahead for the Jags without Nick even though his replacement did better than what they were getting out of Bottles

Sunday Late Slot
Chiefs 34 Raiders 20 - Tip of the cap to Carr and company for a good opener last week, but unfortunately they're not ready to take on the Chiefs yet

Bears 6 Broncos 3 - 50/50 again take your pick. This game will excite defense lovers, but will be a complete ugly sack and turnover filled slopfest otherwise. I'm personally going to tune into the next game I'm picking.

Saints 45 Rams 35 - if you hate the Bears and Broncos and want offense instead of defense, you should find it here. I'm picking the Saints because they are fuming about getting hosed by the missed PI and want to show the Rams they mean business.

Sunday Night
Falcons 38 Eagles 24 - Bad opener on the road last week, but I got this feeling Ryan and Julio want to remind the league they still are a force

Monday Night
Browns 23 Jets 20 - both Mayfield and Darnold were bad last week, both will struggle again in this one. But I think the Browns will end up on top here.

Ohhhh boy, our first pick buster for week 2 has already shown and it's Tampa Bay. So much for Carolina being a safe pick. Will Baltimore follow suit I wonder?

Tough to pick when both teams are led by the same unreliable person. I figured defense and at home would win, i figured wrong LOL

Well, this week nobody scored more than 10 with all the week 2 busters making trouble. And El Guapo forgot to make his picks. So ... The scores are ...

GBGary - 20
AmishMafia - 20
Poppa San - 20
El Guapo - 20
Me - 20
Do7 - 10
Mondio - 10

Race is still wide open for next week

And ....

This week's soo close and yet so far edition

1. There was both a 20-14 score and a 28-14 one ..... But the Bucs and Panthers robbed it from the Giants and Bills, so then those two robbed the 28 and 14 points from the Chargers and Lions ... Very unfortunate

2. Almost had the Patriots score over Miami correct, but Bellichek decided to shut off the spigot at 43-0

3. Last but not least ...

Sunday Early Slot
US 21 Vikes 17 - I don't have a good feeling about this one and probably wrong, but I will not ever pick Minny against the green and gold, they're an abomination

Ohhhh man, nonchalantly swung the iron and almost nailed the hole in one.

And El Guapo forgot to make his picks.
I guess one could say that I forgot but I was working in New Jersey early in the week, flew home late, then drove through the night to get up to the Canadian border to meet buddies for a 5-day fishing trip.

Maverick's re-engaging sir:
Titans
Bills
Cowboys (tempted to pick the Fins as the massive upset, but reality set back in)
Packers 27-17
Colts
Chiefs
Vikings 35-14
Lions continued to roll
Cardinals
Buccaneers
Chargers
Saints 21-17
49ers (too bad for the big ****** in Pittsburgh)
Rams
Bears

The NFC North goes 4-0

I knew it! I freaking knew Jacksonville was gonna win tonight! Idk what made me pick Tennessee! I could've sworn I chose Jacksonville! God I'm salty af right now!

Well, I don't think we all figured the new stache dude plus all those nutty holding calls were going to take over this game.

Well, 2nd week in a row the pick buster has shown on Thursday night

And the funny thing is we actually play another Thursday night game next week against The Eagles.
