Eh Minnesota is basically screwd if they lose Sunday. Zero chance they don't lose at least two games to the following: Packers, Bears X2, Lions X2, Patriots, Seahawks (Loudest stadium), Miami (Northern team going down in the heat). Thats not an easy schedule whatsoever.

Everyone could've seen this drop off in play coming.

I fully expected the Vikings defense to perform at a higher level. I don't mind that I was wrong about it though.

It isn't just Minnesota's defense that is struggling. Their run game is terrible right now. Dead last in total yards and 30 in ypa.

But defensively they have also only forced 4 turnovers, have less sacks than the Packers, are second last in yards given up per reception and are middle of the road in ypa given up rushing.

This isn't fluky defensive numbers. Simply put they haven't been good. Sure they played the Rams but they also played the bills. The Packers offense hasn't started clicking yet and the 49ers are middle of the road.

Vikings go to Miami in December. My guess is the temps should be around 75 at that time.
yeah but by then they will be used to -72 so its the same as going there when its 120. My numbers may not be exact, you know that whole F to C thing, but you get my drift.

Won't speak for raptor but obviously cook is recovering from a serious injury last year and got hurt again this year. I think the bigger issue is lack of anywhere to run for their backs.

That's definitely true. While the Packers have averaged 1.80 yards before contract on rushing attempts this season the Vikings are at an abysmal 0.41.

Only plus for Vikes is probably their WRs. Diggs in particular.

Honestly they are overrated and even with a hobbling AR12, we are still the better team.

Somehow, the QB throwing 6 TDs and averaging 19 yards per completion might have had something to do with this most recent outcome.
My post was after week 3 when for the season he had 2 TDs and 3 ints lmao yeah he was the reason. Congrats to him for looking great against that dominant bucs defense. They were most likely 0-3 going into that game without Mack. 2pt win over Arizona and a 7 pts win over Seattle both games where mack dominated!

The Vikings offense seemed to be okay against the mighty Rams after laying an egg against the Bills, even without Cook.

The Purple defense hasn't looked great yet....Can't believe it's all due to Everson Griffin's unavailability. Perhaps the league is catching up...

The Bears defense, on the other hand, looks legit.

I agree that it's surprising that the Vikings defense hasn't performed up to expectations during the first four weeks of this season though.
Me too although I don't think anyone could have done much against the Rams that night.

Way too early to make an informed observation. Hate to say it, but week 4 ends the pre-season for most starters in the NFL. All you want to do is NOT start at 1-3.

Still, anyone think the Falcons won't be in the playoffs?

Well a team that decided to cover wrs with dbs instead of lbs would have done a little better

They didn’t decide to do that though. McVay schemed the matchup. He’s exceptional when it comes to doing that.

I am sorry but there is no way you should be stuck having to cover a WR with a lb. Barr has been getting caught in bad matchups and been beat quite a few times this year. There is something in the Viking's scheme teams are taking advantage of right now. Now they need to adapt

You’re not wrong that they need to adapt, but getting a WR matched on a linebacker might happen more often than you think.
