That might work in short yardage or goal line situations but on most plays it isn't smart to have an offensive lineman eligible as a receiver.

Its been a couple weeks since this last post. With the Bills releasing Jake Fisher, who recently switched from OL to full-time TE, should GB give him a look? This is exactly the type of player I envisioned fulfilling a role in GB's offensive system under LaFleur.

An athletic inline blocker with receiving skills, possibly thriving in goal-line and short yardage situations.

I don't expect Fisher to thrive at tight end. In addition he isn't good enough to make it as an offensive lineman.

In my opinion it wouldn't be smart to keep a player like him on the roster solely to use him in short yardage or goal line situations.
