Looks like he wont be seeing the field for awhile. Was looking forward to seeing him on the field. Hard luck.

How many IR returns do the Packers get? I know he can come back on week 8. It depends who else is eligible, I suppose. That bonehead roll in the end zone really screwed Kumerow, for now. The guy had a good chance of doing some good things for the Packers. Perhaps make some $$$ down the road.

Might be good luck. They might have kept him anyways, but it’s possible that the final straw in the decision to keep him was the ability to sneak him onto IR.

I never saw the play, was it a show off roll into the end zone or a dive avoiding a tackle. I like some showboating and personality in the game but when it comes to the completely unnecessary dive and roll I always thought “eventually someone is going to seriously injure themselves doing that”

Watching the replay, it's very difficult to see, but a defender got a piece of his foot/ankle as he neared the goal line.

I suspect he was going down regardless from the contact and his momentum + his desired to score resulted in the dive. Just bad luck from there.

If I recall his post game presser, he was running out of gas near the end of the run and was worried about getting dragged down. He decided to dive when he was close enough to prevent the tackle.

He felt it was necessary to ensure an TD. OTOH, it was just preseason. Again, OTOH, he was fighting for a roster spot. So no, it wasn't showboating.
