I took a beating last year when I talked about benching Rodgers to give Love 5 games of experience as the starting QB, as well as potentially improve the Packers draft position.
I don't think it was a bad suggestion, but it wasn't really realistic. Maybe if they hadn't run the table that one year with Rodgers.

That was 2010 and involved a solid team, with a lot of early season injuries. The 2022 team just wasn't going to go far, no matter how well they played those final 5 games. Of their 4 final wins, only 1 was against a playoff team and that was a Viking team that had already wrapped up the division.

2023 is really not a lot different than what I was suggesting. Rodgers is gone, Love is the starter. I don't view that as tanking the 2023 season, it is starting the next chapter. I still think Rodgers had 1 foot out the door during the 2022 season and it wouldn't surprise me if Gute and Co. knew it as well.

If they're 4-5 or worse the NY media will make his life miserable. It will be incredible theater. As far as I'm concerned, Rodgers needs to play into the 12th game. After that I don't care what happens.
Yeah. If my math is correct sometime during week 11 he hits that snap count. If he plays in 12 contests as far as a Day1, we’re in like Flynn

May the first 8 Jets games be full of super long Jets offensive drives with minimal points coming out of each and the opposing offenses scoring a TD in 2-10 plays when they touch the ball. :)

They bench Rodgers and hang-up the season, but by game 17, they realize that they are 2-14 and Zach Wilson will need to take 115 snaps to put Rodgers under the 65%.

I was assuming that Wilson would get some snaps along the way.

Word out of New York is that Zach Wilson has overtaken AR on the depth chart for kneel downs. Both 1st half and 4th quarter. I heard this from a friend.

Yup I broke down average plays per game and prorated them, their 11th game is most likely when it happens.

The Jets should confuse everyone and protect that first rounder. Rotate Wilson and Rodgers on series. If their running game is working well, just let Wilson take the snaps and hand it off. :coffee:

That’s hilarious.
Start doing that around game 8 just to toy with us. Rotate the QB’s every other series or by Qtr

or anytime the Jets are up 2 scores later in a game then put Wilson in there to limit the snap count for Aaron to keep him in that 65%-70% range just to irritate us all the way to week 16 or so

Some running plays go QB less and snap the ball to Cook :)

That's funny stuff. The problem? Zach Wilson won't have enough "three and out" opportunities to hit the 115 snaps in game 17.

I can see it now......In game 17, the Jets defense is instructed to "let them score on every snap, we need to get Zach those 115 snaps!"

Dang Spectrum and Disney network. If don't get their heads out of their butts by Monday night I won't get to see the game.:devilish:
I’m sorry to say I believe anything Disney
is cursed. They’ve initiated a Woke free fall which aided in the culmination of massive losses of value (Billions) once combined with the Feds being intentional about killing the economy.

What Spectrum channel is MNF on? I knew Disney was leaving Spectrum, or maybe the other way around, so no ESPN. I thought MNF was on another channel. Anyway, thx for the heads up.

MNF is ESPN. Disney and Spectrum are trying to convince me, the consumer, that the other one is evil when I pretty much believe they both are corporate clowns.

Gotcha, thanks. With all the changes in the last few years, I can't keep track of where games are broadcast. I'll find it eventually, but apparently not tonight!

And you're spot on about corporate clowns. They can't agree on how to split a money pie, so they don't split it at all. That's stupidity.

The football gods giveth hope and the football gods taketh hope.

Although that offensive line and an aging QB.. this was not an unexpected outcome. Granted.. didn't think 4 plays in...
