I agree he might trade up a bit if he's sold on a receiver. Otherwise, for me, we will get a good, bonafide player at 23. And our 2nd should net us a good 2nd round player. I'd be hesitant to give that away.

Actually it’s you that deserves the accommodation for laughing at my joke. That’s the best humor I could come with in 2025 it’s  Apricot Aprilcut it’s a cold cold audience I tell ya! I couldn’t hear a pin drop after that until you poked my $&s! with it.
I don’t get No respect! I’ll tell ya no respect (eyes bugging out as I straighten my tie)
Puns are the lowest form of humor, but, God help me, I love 'em anyway.

I'm a Dad, so Dad jokes suit me just fine.

WR needy teams seem to all pick b4 GB. I doubt he would trade back to #37. Just IMO. I believe there will be a few corners left. Hairston, Amos, Revel. Rams might want to pick ahead of Minny. IMO. QB scenario. Ward goes #1. Sanders goes 3 or 4. Steelers are in line for 3rd QB at 21. If both pass on Sanders and Pit takes him at 21 then Giants may want to move ahead of CLV for the 3rd QB if they really like one more than the other. IMO the QBs go 1, 21, 33 & 34. As always just my opinion which is usually wrong.
Good opinion. I’m wondering more and more if Gutes’ advertised visits are a cross between either being your prepared if a top 3-4 WR is sniffing our #23 overall. Yet if emotions run high at WR and they start going in the later teens earlier 20’s? That 2-3 more really good players at DL that cross our yard.

I’d be fully prepared to move back a hair down the draft board IF teams start reaching. Then use that extra 3rd/4th gained draft equity to gyrate around into earlier Day 2 such as into the 40’s similar to how we did with Christian.

Sure. You know last time i spoke with my Dad he said he was exercising regularly and heard I was calling the treadmill “the dreadmill”. He recommended I do lunges like him.
I told him I’m just not ready to take that big a step forward.
So Daddy warned me to just “take one step at a time”. I took him up on that advice and joined a step class. It’s wonderful! I take one step and get to leave almost immediately as each class starts.
I decided to do the Bike because my desire to exercise kinda cycles.

Confirmed now publically so can discuss. Jaire has been actively working out this offseason with Xavier...personally reached out to Hobbs multiple times and other teammates as well.

Jaire doesn't want to go anywhere IMO - BUT the team is demanding a contract rework no doubt...that is where the tension is I bet. It has never been about Jaire wanting out or being unwilling to play in GB.

It seems like a good year for GB to trade back, out of the first round. I'm guessing some team may want a shot at Dart, and he's likely to go from #20 to #32.

I haven't seen any guys mocked to GB at #23 that are "must haves" at their respective positions. And the draft has some interesting players in rounds 2 and 3, so trading back might be a good idea.

Now if someone like Barron slides, and I don't think that happens, then Gluten would certainly grab him. And weird **** like that happens in drafts.

What I don't see is trading up. Gluten always prefers more picks, not less.

All the reasons you stated will also make it hard to find someone willing to trade up. I fully expect Dart to go at #21 to Steelers. IMO the scenario to hope for is that both CLV and NYG pass on Sanders for Hunter and Carter. Pit takes him at #21. Then the Giants might want to jump CLV to get Dart. I am pretty sure that there will be other trades that will change the scenarios multiple times.

I agree...The Pack at this point have I believe 8 picks, I'm sure Gutey would rather have 10 or 11.

Three more weeks and we'll know.

Yep, 10 or 11 (or more) is certainly what he prefers. This draft seems to have much better value on days 2 and 3.

And, historically, that seems to be Gutey's strength. Zach Tom and Evan Williams, a couple of day three picks, leap to mind.

Exactly when have we seen that? Guy is never healthy anymore but his mouth keeps yapping and his personal foul penalties keep mounting. This guy has even done stupid stuff before the game even starts. Trade his butt to Miami.

All it takes is for one team to covet one prospect. Draft day makes some GM's do stupid things. Happens every year. Never underestimate the ability of desperate GM's to find a way to commit employment suicide.

It's his personality. I think this has become personal for you. You would like him gone even if he would help the team I think.

Partially true. His inability to be game day available over the last 3 years has worn thin with me. I've never been impressed with his on field demeanor. It smacks of unprofessional behavior imo. I prefer mature and professional personalities. Call me crazy I guess.

Who do you replace him with? Nixon, Valentine, Hobbs, a draft pick? Alexander is better than all these options and he is on your roster. Injuries do happen. When healthy Jaire is really good. I will take Jaire over a late round conditional draft pick.

Pike like many have just grown tired of Jaire's approach and mentality also, it isn't just injuries for many - which I understand even if I disagree somewhat.

However, the answer is clearly right now two of the three of Valentine/Hobbs/Nixon would be the outside starters likely right now...that could change if a CB is drafted and comes in and plays well. Odds are if we don't have Jaire on the team by the draft we execute a top 150 pick on one likely...if he is I could see us drafting a lone late rounder.

I completely agree Jaire is a different personality. He likes to talk on the field. I specifically remember the Dallas playoff game in 2024 where Cede Lamb was walking back to the huddle with his back to Jaire and Jaire pushed him in the back. That is not smart football. But in that same game Jaire completely shut down Lamb. That's the Jaire I want.

I can see drafting a corner high even if Jaire starts week 1

What's high to you? Just curious...I mean of course the right prospect falls to Gute, he's hitting the button to the pick everytime but just curious in general if Jaire is here what is your opinion of high?

To be fair, even those that are done with him also have only ever wanted that Jaire.

If JA could be used in a deal to move up I'd be all for that. I don't think he has any value in a straight-up trade, but maybe someone would be willing to pull the trigger with JA included.

I don't think that's likely. With his recent injury history, no one will gamble on an expensive CB, regardless of talent or potential.

Considering the current weakness of the CB group, I think Gluten keeps JA. But as you say, GMs do stupid things, especially on draft day when they sometimes only have minutes to make a decision.

Hard to say what keeping JA would do to change the need for a CB in the draft. Logically, it should take a CB from a day 1 decision to a day 2 decision. But there aren't a lot of good CBs likely to be there at #23.

I don't have a problem with keeping JA. He's hardly a fan favorite, but Gluten thankfully doesn't think like a fan. All of their current CBs are just guys imo. The value Nixon had as a returner is diluted with the acquisition of Hardman. So my guess is they keep JA and take a CB in round 2 or 3, depending on the value.
