I retract my prior post after hearing the Aaron Jones news.I'm thinking they don't, but they do take a RB in the 6th or 7th
Well now that makes running back a little bit higher on the draft pecking order.WOW....now THAT is a shocker. Did not see that coming. They must be worried about his age and availability. The Josh Jacobs signing now makes more sense.
Not really. Jacobs is a damn good back. The Packers will be looking for a #2 RB either in Free Agency or in the draft.Well now that makes running back a little bit higher on the draft pecking order.

1300 carries? I bet Jones has half of that. That 340 two years ago kind of scares me. I just don’t want a Zeke situation. I think the league has learned from that lesson though. I love 3 year contracts for running backs. Not really. Jacobs is a damn good back. The Packers will be looking for a #2 RB either in Free Agency or in the draft.
I love Jones, but the Packers just got rid of a guy that will turn 30 next season, for a guy that just turned 26 a month ago. The key for both of those RB's is their health. Jacobs was injured a few times last season, but so was Jones. Jones has 1777 carries in the NFL, Jacobs only 1305.
Here are Jacobs stats since being drafted at #24 in the first round in the 2019 draft. Also, keep in mind, this was with a Vegas team that wasn't very good.

I haven't seen the contract numbers on Savage, but I have a feeling it is for more than he was worth to the Packers. Runyan's signing with the Giants for $10M/year is fools money that I am glad the Packers didn't spend. I would wager to guess that once contracts come in on a lot of the Packer FA's, we all will be pretty happy that the Packers didn't pay that amount.Thank you, Darnell Savage
The Packers 2019 1st round pick heads to the Jaguars on a 3 year deal. He will forever be remembered for his epic pick-six that put the nail in the coffin for the Dallas Cowboys. We wish him well.
I posted it, Jones has almost 2 seasons more in carries, 472 more carries to be exact.1300 carries? I bet Jones has half of that. That 340 two years ago kind of scares me. Remember when Linsley signed that massive deal? He came to mind when I saw Runyan’s numbers.I haven't seen the contract numbers on Savage, but I have a feeling it is for more than he was worth to the Packers. Where are you seeing Jones with 1700 carries? I see 1170.I posted it, Jones has almost 2 seasons more in carries, 472 more carries to be exact.
Yup. Linsley signed a five-year, $62.5 million contract with the Los Angeles Chargers, making him the highest-paid center in the league. Sounds like he is retiring.Remember when Linsley signed that massive deal? He came to mind when I saw Runyan’s numbers.
Nobody left from the TED era!Releasing Jones, Bahk, and Campbell continues the youth movement for the Packers
Seriously?! I didn’t hear that. I don’t even think he is a 10 year vet. Just looked it up, this will be his 10th year if he doesn’t retire.Yup. My bad....read it wrong, Jones is listed as having 1177 carries in his career. Thanks for pointing it out.Where are you seeing Jones with 1700 carries? I see 1170.

Gute is learning off of Teddys "errors".It's definitely a different era under Gute
I might have jumped the gun on that! Maybe KC is only guy drafted by TED left. It's definitely a different era under Gute
Murphys errors as well! He kept Ted around way too long, even as his health was declining, and was obvious to everyone else that he was not very sharp anymore.Gute is learning off of Teddys "errors".
