Rodgers has been in a conservative offense that only functions, in years past, when he scrambles and allows receivers to get open. After a few years of that I can understand (not agree with necessarily, but certainly understand) if the QB is listening to his coach draw up a play and telling Rodgers, "This guy will be open" and Rodgers is thinking, "Yeah, sure" and doing what's worked so well in the past, scrambling. The OC thing is absolutely overrated. It's MM's offense. He's the offensive coordinator. Just like Holmgren was the OC when he was also the HC.
But, let's say I'm wrong and you're correct, that doesn't change the fact that MM needs to go. We can bemoan Rodgers' supposed foolhardiness and stubbornness all we want but it's obvious that's not changing under MM. So the options are to continue to ignore history and stubbornly believe that something will suddenly change (when it hasn't for three years), trade Rodgers, or get a new HC. Only one of those options is realistic.
