Skip was trying so hard to pin this on Rodgers, but Shannon stopped him saying that Rodgers and Cobb are good friends and he was one of the groomsman at Cobb's wedding.
Today Skip was saying that Roethlisberger is going to tear up the league and have an MVP year this season because he's going to be motivated by all the crap that his ex-teammates are talking about him. Oh, the irony. Has he ever said Rodgers is going to be spurred on to better performance?

a bold statement when you consider, the green mile, stand by me, the shining etc...
A bold statement for saying that's my opinion? The Green Mile is good, although it seems a little long, and Shawshank doesn't need all the hocus pocus stuff. Stand By Me is also grounded in reality, but Shawshank is better, I think. I suppose it comes down to whether you prefer an adult buddy movie or a child buddy movie.

Stephen King himself didn't like The Shining, although I think he's wrong on that one.
I also like Pet Semetary (the old one) and Christine. The Stand was good, but it was so much like the book it was a little dull.

What a frigging *******. I like all the comments on Twitter tearing him a new one. He's gone too far this time. Cowherd's one of these guys who think life only exists on the coasts and the midwest is flyover country. I'd like to give him some choice words, but I'm not going to give him the Twitter numbers he wants. What a troll.

i just thought it was a bold statement considering there are a few great Stephen King movie adaptations, i woul agree that shawshank is probably my favourite. I didn't even mention IT, the books great, but that old made for TV movie is a bit meh, and i've not seen the new one

That's what I said, Shawshank's the best. IMO.
I'm not a big IT fan, but I did see the most recent movie. It didn't wow me, but I did think it was better than that TV movie from way back when. I liked how it focused solely on telling the kids story. IIRC the TV version had a lot of flashbacks from when they were grown up back and forth to being kids.

I think a lot of what Cobb did flew under the radar a lot of moments. He was never THE MAN in Green Bay.

2014 his best year...Jordy did him better.
2015 when Jordy was hurt, Adams was coming up and the buzz was how Rodgers/Jones are reunited.
2016 was the Jordy and Adams show and the injury bug started
2017 Rodgers goes down and Hundley loved Adams

He was almost an easy guy to forget about because there were so many other focuses on the field. And it is really a shame that most people don't take the time to recognize him more and I think he'll be missed more than even I think so.

Much like the rest of us, I wasn't so sentimental about this loss. And I think I never took the time to fully appreciate him.

I think you can feel better......his 2014 season didn't go unnoticed by the Packers, they rewarded him with a $40M contract for it.

I have mixed feelings about seeing Cobb move on. While I agree with the strategy of letting him go, it is tough because he has been one of my favorite packers ever since he was drafted. Not only was he a pretty damn good WR, but I just liked his personality. Humble, hardworking, Not a shred of diva. Pretty easy to root for.
