That buffers my argument in regards to running backs getting the short end of the stick. They have short lives hence and yet when they do what's expected of them and then more, in Bell's case be arguably the best running back for X amount of years and this is his thanks?
I wouldn't say the Steelers replaced bell with ease as Bell does so much more than run the ball, as he is a legitimate receiving threat and even Pittsburgh admitted that if he had been there, there would've been some games they could've won. Again he didn't quit on his team, he made a business decision, to preserve his body in order for him to get a new contract, especially when he's earned a new one after being the best in his position for years. I hate when people think simply doing what's best for you is being "selfish" or quitting on your team. At the end of the day you have to do what's in the best interest for you. He wanted long term security and he definitely earned that.
