Man overall I’d have to sit down and write down every pick, cut, trade and free agent to iron out….but if someone is any lower than a B overall with Gute and all he’s handled and done I’d argue may have forgotten something’s or believes it to be an easy job.
Yeah true that! I’d put Gute in that B+ A- neighborhood on a flat C scale. I see Jordan in his infancy career wise (entering his 3rd season as our Starter), I think he was a good selection at #26 overall because it’s a small price to pay for a starting QB. No it’s not Tom Brady in the 6th Round either, but the mere fact that every team passed on Brady at least 5 times just proves that comparable was as much luck as anything. Most teams understand a franchise QB regularly comes in Day1 with maybe an outside chance in Day2 of the draft. So far Jordan is a B+ A- only because it took 4 seasons to gain a return on investment, plus a league leading contract you’d expect results. Great selection but not elite either.. at least yet. Love is a B, B+ real time with potential to elevate that grade if he improves. I’m factoring cost and time into this.

Gute started really good with Z and Preston and Turner and Amos. Of course he spent a *** but they proved worthy. He’s really only missed a couple times earlier. Josh Jackson and a pair of 3rd Round TE’s that were overvalued. Aside from those I didn’t like Savage, he played like a 4th Rounder should, but yet he got him trading a 3rd rounder away previous draft. So he really cost a 3rd for to his crafty maneuvering with Seattle prior.

I wasn’t super impressed with the Aaron Jones trade. I understand it’s a business, but he’s like family and I think you’ve got to have a better reason to move on from family for a few million a year savings. Don’t misinterpret though, I’ve enjoyed what Jacobs offers, he’s a stud maybe a tick ahead of Aaron Jones.
I still can’t believe we lost a whole season of Marshawn Lloyd, I think he could be a formidable 1-2 punch. I won’t be shocked to see Lloyd take over RB2 already in 2025. No disrespect to Emmanuel, he’s been a pleasant surprise and he’s a fine option to have in the wings if RB1 R2 go out.
As far as Aaron Jones, he’s still got gas in the tank and he won’t surprise me to have another 1,000 yard rushing season or two. The guy has made a living overcoming adversity and underestimation. I’m referring to his being slighted by New Mexico and going on to punish them for that mistake. UTEP hit absolute Gold with an offer for Jones. AJ33 is already in very good company career status wise, with a chance to move into elite company with another season or two of doing his thing.
