Had a friend message me asking what or how I think a DK acquiring trade and a Jaire leaving trade might cause the draft to look....

Again this is more a predictive not personal - but since that has been confused at times I've inserted what I'd do also at end of each predictive on....I also for sake of brevity only summarized first four rounds and then just listed.

In this situation, let's operate under the assumption a BIG edge acquisition (mack, garrett or similar) does not happen...likely Gute adds a lower but likely solid guy minimizing the need but not removing it from the table. Let's say Azeez Ojulari is signed.
Let's say Gute goes and gets at minimum a CB2 type level starter - for this exercise let's say Paulson Adebo is signed.
Myers is not resigned and Slaton at time of draft is not as well.

Notable Additions/Changes
Trade with Seahawks - we receive DK Metcalf for our third and Romeo Doubs
Trade with Jaguars sending Jaire - we receive their second 4th rounder 125th and send them a future Day3 (IMO a 6th)
Added Azeez Ojulari, Paulson Adebo

1.23 - In this scenario I believe Gute will look to move back IF the board falls in a way he feels that is the best action. Picks up 36 and 88 actually with same trade suitor we had in the Jaire trade.

1.36 - Tyleik Williams iDL Ohio State - with some of the needs mitigated and the board falling the way it was I could strongly see Hafley in Gute's ear as he picks an oober athletic, strong anchoring young 0 an d1 tech capable interior DL to make needing to continue discussions with Slaton not necessary. Williams shines in plugging lanes and manhandling running situations - wrecking running plans for many teams if they try anything between the tackles. *I personally go Darius Alexander or Landon Jackson...Jackson likely gets nod because edge rushers with his measurables are just incredibly hard to find...that size with that explosion and bend is rare....and I have him with a clear first round grade.

2.55 - Jared Wilson OC Georgia - DK acquisition makes Gute not push there...CB's with GB traits are gone (Morrison actually with injury concerns last one off the board in the late 40s)...Gute does what MANY Packer fans think Gute never does - drafts a player with year 1 likelihood to start. Wilson repeats as the second center drafted in the second round in five years to replace Josh Myers. No joke folks, up until a couple weeks back I was firmly in the camp of Wilson was a third at BEST prospect. Then my one southern buddy who is a scout nut too told me I need to rewatch Wilson's tape. he had him as just outside his top 50...and this dude is a harsh grader and hates the Bulldogs (bet you can guess who this southern guy roots for in two guesses or less). Going into the combine I really wanted to see if the crazy elite athlete I saw would be confirmed via testing...and if I did, while I disagree with him being of this level prospect overall....the contributory nature of what he would provide elevates this pick to make a TON OF SENSE. Jared Wilson walks into the starting center position...allows Morgan to be that salary saver for either Rhyan or Walker walking in free agency. *I'll be honest here I cannot ignore what I believe Jalen Royals will be and would RUN his name in if he's there. I understand he is somewhat redundant with Watson once he is back...but healing is never a guarantee and having too much talent if Watson is here in the future isn't a problem...plus Doubs is gone so room for another rookie deal WR is there.

3.88 - Terrance Ferguson TE Oregon - Many don't think TE needs addressed...and there is merit there but look back historically at how often TEs get banged up or the track record of Musgrave. There is NO DOUBT Musgrave is a big threat in the passing game when healthy...but as much as I love what Ben Sims has grown into and might become, Terrance Ferguson instantly makes walking from Musgrave in the future after his rookie deal a lot more palatable...but is also two seasons off so time for everyone to flesh out more and know. With DK added perhaps the one way best through the draft to strengthen things is actually in the TE room, providing it a third sure handed pass catcher is only beneficial Gute's opinion and is a Gute type move (drafted Lloyd when many said not needed...Gary when Smiths were brought in...he's dont this type of thing a lot). *I honestly would consider Ferguson as well but since in my world I went pass catcher with second pick I'd likely look tackle and go Wyatt Milum - a dude that checks EVERY box has LT frame but footwork to play any but center. Outside chance if Jared Wilson were still there I'd nab him as well, but don't suspect he would be even if draft engines tell you otherwise.

4.124 - Kyle Williams WR Washington State - Gute cannot ignore the WR that caught eyes and holds a comp player I hear a lot on him that GB fans will relate to - Jayden Reed. They are nearly identical size, with Williams a touch faster and a touch more explosive in testing. Crazy productive wideout for the Cougars amassing over 2,000 yards last two seasons and 20 TDs. Like Reed they deployed him outside more than in the slot, but his game would translate into the slot seamlessly at the next level in all likelihood. Gute moving around the board and having two fourths kinda makes this pick a luxury pick. *Honestly I would likely look to the kid picked next in this Gute predictive mock...

4.125 - Jason Marshall Jr. CB Florida - Gute usually has a head scratching pick to many and this would be his...to everyone save maybe me. Many of you know I've brought him up and he is inside my top 150 so this isn't a crazy stretch. He checks ALL the Green Bay boxes for corner...the acquisition of Adebo means he likely is battling for that outside CB3 role or depth spot in year one which is great. HIGHLY athletic dude whose film was confirmed by testing and I am very intrigued to see if he does shuttle and three cone at his pro day - I expect more confirmation of the athlete he is. *I likely would have nabbed either Mitchell Evans TE or a off ball LB I'm high on in Danny Stutsman Oklahoma

5.160 Carson Vinson OT Alabama A&M - OT likely could slide inside despite having Tackle frame. Swing tackle/depth guy that has all the tools needed.
6.200 - Fadil Diggs Edge Syracuse - Productive edge from Syracuse (44 hurries last two years also 12 sacks). High RAS
7.239 - Teddye Buchanan LB California - VERY Athletic but needs refinement...betting on the athleticism
7.251 - Seth Henigan QB Memphis - Athletic, productive, raw...late round flyer on future backup.

What is the trade with the Jaguars?

Apologies, Jaire. They are one of two teams my one contact has heard has interest...he's a source of mine but he admitted he is relying on his trusted sources and not his own first hand knowledge.
