Yeah, this was changed a couple years ago and now includes draft-eligible underclassmen, as well.
My thanks to you and Ty for educating me on this. I truly thought it was just an annual game between D1 seniors.

I was watching some sports channel yesterday at the gym, and they were filming some of the events at the senior bowl. They had an entire OL lined up, snapped the ball, and then only an edge defender or DL went against the opposing offensive tackle. It was kinda fast and furious and fun to watch. Very different from the combine where one guy goes up against a clock, a distance measure, or three cones. This was a lot more interesting.

So, is there an actual game at the end of all this other activity?

Thanks again Suds.

Yup they'll have an actual game at end of the week. Not everyone sticks around...Trey Amos, Mike Green and another guy (forget who) pulled out and are done for the week after showing out in some of the day practices and 1v1s

CBS Sports suggested the Packers go after MN CB Byron Murphy in FA. I don't know much about the guy. He had 81 tackles, 14 passes defended and 6 INTs.

I'm sure Gluten will try to get a proven Edge guy in FA. Barring that, a solid CB also makes sense. If they have to draft an Edge player or CB, who might be available?

At their current position Day 1 I'd say one of the following four would be consensus tops for each of those player groups:

Cornerback
Benjamin Morrison
Shavon Revel
Jahdae Barron
Trey Amos
*that's assuming Travis Hunter and Will Campbell are off the board.
My personal darkhorse consideration for day 1 - Azareye'h Thomas and Darien Porter

Edge
Nic Scourton
Jack Sawyer
Princely Umanmielen
Landon Jackson
*That's assuming Abdul Carter, Mykel Williams, James Pearce, Jalon Walker, Shemar Stewart and Mike Green are gone.
Darkhorse mentions for me also are Kyle Kennard and Donovan Ezeiruaku

Thanks. This makes the draft (and FA) even more interesting. I see Barron going to GB in the majority of mocks, or at least the mocks I've seen. And the current mocks make no allowance for FA. After the first two weeks of FA, the latter half of the draft in particular seems likely to change, a lot or a little, but change.
