It's amazing how there are so many overreactions by teams about situations that develop. The Vikings chose to move on without Cousins. He just didn't quite cut it. But, in hindsight, he's the 4th best QB they've had in their entire history according to experts. That wasn't good enough.

Next up? Darnold. Good enough to lead them to more wins than they've ever had in one season. Yet, when the chips were down and their offensive line, receivers, and running backs were no shows against the Rams, they're going to "move on" from Darnold.

I'm not saying Darnold is a great QB, but I will say that the Vikings are blaming way too much of their end of season lack of success on guys that aren't responsible for it any more than the guys they have around them. The Vikings receivers weren't getting open, and Darnold had nowhere to throw the ball, and spent a lot of time trying to stay alive with the pass rush thrown at him.

I enjoy the finger-pointing bit when it's being done on another team, and not the Packers.

Only one problem. It seems like that's starting to happen in GB. Let the witch hunts begin.

I think if Minnesota could afford to keep Sam Arnold they would over JJ McCarthy, but to be honest I can't believe they signed them to a one-year contract so he's played well enough that he's going to get a 40 year $50 million a year contract from somebody for 3 to 5 years and makes some really good guaranteed money and I just don't think the Vikings can afford to keep me kind of struck lightning in a bottle and it's gonna pay off very very well for him, but I just don't know much about the Vikings cap situation, but I just don't think they can absorb a $300 million quarterback cost at this moment which is why I think he'll move on to somebody else who's gonna give him a big bag of money.

It'll be interesting to see who is their QB next year.
The whole division is going to be murderers row.
The rivalry that da Bears have with Green Bay.
The rivalry we're about to have with Detroit because our coaches are probably close like brothers off the field, but now this could be like Woody and Bo at OSU and UM!!!
Y'all's rivalry with da queens and kitties
is intense!!!
The next few years are going to be awesome. A real gladiator school for our enjoyment!!!!! Bread and blood gentleman!!!!
I can't wait!!!!!!

QBs have become the scapegoat for failures by head coaches on a regular basis. Of course, they like to play the martyr routine and say that it's their fault because they are ultimately responsible for the failure. Gawd! Falling on the rubber knife! It nauseates me.

The reality is, most of the time when there's one off failures in the playoffs - as an example - A substandard passing game is ultimately blamed on the QB, never on the coach coming up with a worthless game plan and not knowing how to take advantage of the opponents' weaknesses. There's a reason that we don't see unbeaten seasons and rarely ever see a team lose every game during a season. When the game plan is right, and the other teams isn't, you can overcome a substantial amount of difference in athleticism.
