Geronimo droppin everything today
Slow down Gramps...I could barely figure out who Larry Csonka and Mercury Morris were!
4 missed tackles is a great improvement for this defense, LOL. A reporter asked MM during Monday's press conference: "I've asked you and Pettine about missed tackles in the first 3 weeks. I counted 4 missed tackles yesterday, so what did you guys do better this week?"
Well, this "assumption" has already been proven false. You know what they say about assuming...I think you have to operate under the assumption that Rodgers will be impaired for the duration. Healing requires rest, and that's something he doesn't get while practicing, however limited, and being on the field every week.
It has? Limited practice again this past week, playing with the brace, mobility and speed not fully restored, with a heavy dose of ball control passing again in the game plan. By Rodgers telling, this week wasn't any different than the last where he practiced on Thursday this past week only because he thought the team needed it. The only assumption proven false so far is 2/3 of "2-4 weeks".Well, this "assumption" has already been proven false. You know what they say about assuming...
Anyone with eyes can see his knee has greatly improved since he first injured it. I take it you didn't watch this past weekend's game? There was barely even a noticeable limp compared to before. He will be 100% after the bye week. Definitely not a season-long injury like you claimed. It has? I know what they say about assuming. So far that addage is only half right and not my half , though I don't take pleasure in that.
Perhaps not in this case unless one is wagering, but in general, assumptions are a necessary part of the human condition. Whether one knows it or not, one makes probabalistic predictions every hour of every day. That saying is just an "I told you so", too easy, unless know facts were ignored which is not the case here. When using that saying, one should at least get the 20/20 hindsight correct.
"Impaired" means not 100%. He remains impaired. That should be obvious.Anyone with eyes can see his knee has greatly improved since he first injured it. I take it you didn't watch this past weekend's game? There was barely even a noticeable limp compared to before.
100% after the bye in LA. The improvement should be obvious at this point."Impaired" means not 100%. He remains impaired. That should be obvious.
That's an "assumption". What is it people say about that again? You said my assumption was "proven false". That's false, now by your own admisssion. End of story.100% after the bye in LA. The improvement should be obvious at this point.
I have no problem with Rodgers being dissatisfied with the offense's performance. While "perfect is the enemy of the good" has its place, if the objective is winning a Super Bowl (which should be the case) a very high level of performance should be the target. I'm OK if he's always dissatisfied up through the post-Super Bowl interview. There's always room for incremental improvement even after a "we played well" assessment. You must be logged in to see this image or video!
You said the injury would last all year. Yet, after a couple weeks, Rodgers has noticeably improved to the point he was sprinting out of the tunnel pre-game. You were wrong buddy. It's okay, you should be happy, since it means Rodgers is getting healthy. That's an "assumption". What is it people say about that again? You said my assumption was "proven false". Sure, why not? Somebody has to.IF he declares himself 100% healthy in week 16, are you going to do a butt wiggling dance in HRE's face, because you were right?
Sure, why not?
Actions speak louder than words.Rodger himself said the injury is still bothering him
If Rodgers starts wheeling and dealing outside of the pocket i.e. late 2016, I think that would prove he's pretty damn close to 100%. I've seen differences in Rodgers by the week, it appears to me like he's slowly but surely gaining more mobility. To me, that suggests he's improving.Maybe time to move on? Jeeeesh......Rodgers is still wearing a brace, Rodger himself said the injury is still bothering him and doesn't know how long it will last. IF he declares himself 100% healthy in week 16, are you going to do a butt wiggling dance in HRE's face, because you were right?
I liked better the first profane link you provided then replaced, where Jackson follows his observation about assumptions with an if-then proposition which is a kind of assumption. You must be logged in to see this image or video!
Confirmation bias.Actions speak louder than words.
