I didn't know the Packers' GM had his own sandwich.

That's because up till now Eddie Lacy and Mike McCarthy have been scarfing them all up. With Eddie watching his weight some are finally available to the rest of us. Ted can only make so many sandwiches you know, and still keep up with his GM duties and all.

There is basically no way the Packers should lose this game.
They shouldn't, but I hope the team doesn't view it that way. I think last year after we were brought back to earth from the Denver and Carolina domination of us, the Lion game was viewed as "we got this" and a way to get back on track. We all know what happened that Sunday in Lambeau. But you are right, this is a perfect opportunity to get the offense going, if they know how to get it going.

The NFL should have little problem playing the game. Protesters won't be able to get into the stadium without tickets, so unless they buy a ton of single game tickets they won't disrupt the game....possibly only vehicle or pedestrian traffic heading to the game.

I would be ok with the Packers losing the game if the team actually managed to show some signs of life on offense.

yea but then that means the defense, most likely the secondary didn't do its job. Cause I expect the Dline and run stop to play well again, they have no abdullah so that will help things even though Guion is out on our side.

So only way this game is lost will be if Stafford beats us on 3rd and longs and unfortunately on 4th and shorts since those were automatic for the jags and vikings. And as well as our pass game, our pass defense is also the early area of concern for this team.

Strange indeed. Did Davis get a snap in the Viking's game? If i'm not mistaken I think I read he did. Might be mistaken. But their rotation was like non existent. Was it because of the no huddle offense?

Abbrederis played six snaps, Davis five and Montgomery not a single one vs. the Vikings.

People might hold protests this whole week during the day causing traffic back up. You north or south?

I live in Charlotte and, while there were protests last night, they were peaceful. The violence from the previous night was caused primarily by people that came into town on buses. I expect there to be some demonstrations outside the stadium this Sunday, but nothing disruptive.
On a somewhat related note, Kaepernick was in town last weekend and, while I'm sure he heard some comments from the stands, I did not hear about any major problems. Charlotte is in the south, but it's a largely transient city with most of the residence from other parts of the country.

I wouldn't be too upset if Levy, Williams, Ebron and Reiff can't play on Sunday. The Lions could be pretty thin at LB, time to unleash Cook and the RB's on short passes.

Packers offense picks up if they commit to the run and make the defense start bringing guys back in the box or just let Lacy keep pounding them. He's bound to break them down.

Also, if we see less of Adams and we start seeing more of Ty and Abby. I'd like to see a few 4 or even 5WR sets. Use them, if not it's stupid to keep 7 WRs on the team

Packers rule out Morgan Burnett and Clay Matthews for tomorrow's game vs. the Lions. Letroy Guion and Datone Jones downgraded to doubtful.

Going to be pretty tough without those guys in the line up. All of them have been playing well too. Oh well. Home opener against detroit, they better find a way to win

The key thing is we have to show we can move the ball without being aided by penalties and free plays. That's what I want to see improvement in. If Rodgers just keeps it simple and doesn't try to do too much, gotta think something's gonna start clicking.

With all the key guys out on both sides, this might look more like a pre season game than week 3 of the regular season.
Not a lot to be taken from this one if they win other than it's a win, and you always take a win.
A loss under these circumstances might start a free for all, and a shark feeding frenzy.

There was a time when the NFL had a 6 week preseason so maybe the first two or three weeks of the current regular season could be considered not much more than that as teams are still trying to find their "identity" and "formula" or whatever. Regulars don't play much anymore in the "preseason" so that time and experience are delayed into the regular. So don't get too high at early success or too low about early struggles.

The Packers and Lions will each be missing their best defensive players (Clay & Ziggy). Looks like it'll be a good game for the offense to hit it's stride. Andrew Luck had a big game against the Lions in Week 1. Would be nice to see Rodgers have a similar day.

With Datone Jones listed as doubtful, might get a good look at Kyler Fackrell.

While I get what your are trying to say, there isn't much about a regular season game that resembles a preseason game. Especially the wins and loses, they count the same as the next 12 or 14 games. Teams should have plenty of practice and preseason time to find their identity to not have to say "yeah, lets just get this figured out by week 3 or 4." I can sort of see that mentality with a rebuilding team, but most of the Packers offense has been together long enough not to have to use that as an excuse for playing out of sync once the regular season starts.
