Shhhhhhh.....nobody wants to hear that right now LOL.....but yes, right now, it would seem like this team is right up there with those of the 70's and 80's, 3 wins against teams worse than the Packers. The time when just making the playoffs was celebrated whole heatedly and the talk of "what has to happen for the Packers to get in" started 5-6 weeks before the season ended. I miss the more current times of "What do the Packers need to do to secure home field for the rest of the playoffs?"

Nah, we are much better than those teams. Just remember...we are only a few plays away from being 9-2. You can't say that about the 70's an 80's teams unless you are talking about the entire decade.

If we lose this game I think I'll jump off a bridge. The only 2 games these sorry losers have won was against the 49ers both times. At home, really no excuse not to blow this team out.

Unfortunately, as bad as the Cardinals are, the Packers have only won 2 more football games than they have.

Well, we haven't lost at home all season, though to be fair all our tough games have been on the road anyway so it's kind of inflated.

But yeah I'm getting sick of us not putting together complete games. It does seem as though MM has started assuming his job security is as tight as Fort Knox and has lacked coaching with any sense of urgency to keep it. But it just got shakier with the Cowgirls win last night, and Seattle has the 49ers too who I doubt they lose to. Minny will probably lose to New England, but I don't think that's enough.

I'll be here cheering our guys all the way to the end, but I'm thinking we go 8-7-1 at the most, a record that will likely not be good enough to get us in.

I've said that many times but apparently it doesn't work that way in a lot of peoples minds. Our wins are always legit and our loses are always if only's
But, if you look at it logically, it says something to me, this is a pretty "average" team.

I would have preferred for the Cowboys to lose last night's game, but I think we need to be rooting for the Cowboys moving forward...

Hear me out. With a win next week, they can essentially eliminate the Eagles from the Packers radar, because it could/would be their 7th loss. The Redskins, in my opinion, are going to take somewhat of a nose dive without Alex Smith behind center. And the Giants are a lost cause.

So the Cowboys win the division, which gives them a home playoff game. What are the Packers realistically playing for, best case scenario? A wild card spot. Drawing the Cowboys would be pretty nice, given how Rodgers has historically owned them in JerryWorld.

I'd feel more comfortable about winning that game then I would against the Bears or Vikings.

Was actually the first time in a long time I was wanting the Cowboys to win. Cowboys schedule is pretty easy from here on in and the Packers stand a much better chance of catching Washington and the Eagles, who still play each other twice. Not to mention, every Saints loss has the potential of improving that first round pick the Packers have of theirs. :)

I think I said something along these lines as well. If an 8-8 team is 5/6 plays from being 13-3 and 5/6 plays away from being 3-13 they are most likely an 8-8 team.

For the first time (in a long time) the problem IMO is the Packers offense. There are not enough playmakers. Davante Adams is the only skill position player that I can consider a playmaker.

This defense in past years, would have won us a super bowl.

Aaron Jones is definitely a playmaker as well. There's no doubt the offense lacks proven players though.

Davante, AJones, Bakhtiari, and to a lesser extent, Corey Linsley are the only guys I consider truly solid, well besides Rodgers of course. But Rodgers is having a not-good year and that concerns me a lot.

Actually if the Packers win out they have a decent chance of making the playoffs.
Not really. A lot would have to happen. The Packers best bet is if the Bears lose 4 of the next 5, and that's not likely to happen. Although, if I was a Packer fan, I would be a pulling for the Giants, Bucs and Niners this week.

The fact that the Vikings are about to lose their next 2 games will help.;)

If the Packers win out, they have greater than an 80% chance of making the playoffs. If that’s needing “a lot to happen”, then I’ll gladly take it.
