One of the "radio guys" last night made a great point about last years NFCCG against the Bucs. Yes, the Packers had "home field" but due to Covid, very few fans could be in attendance. Unless things change drastically with Covid, I don't see that happening this season. The Packers will have 80,000 or so packed into Lambeau, much better home field advantage than last year.

And the conditions couldn't have been more perfect for a visiting team. Like 30ish degrees and completely sunny for a 2 pm kickoff. This time around, it'll be a 5:40 kickoff, at night, and you could only assume it'll be colder and potentially more hazardess as far as the weather goes.

Didn't they show a stat last night that pretty much shot that theory down. Something like last season more visiting teams won than home teams and they figured it would be very different his year and it was only 4 or 5 games different. I think home teams are only 3 games over .500 this year while last year they were a game or two under.

Still, that's an entire seasons worth of stats. When looking at one game I'd definitely want home field advantage. Especially in the playoffs.

Unless its 2011 of course. Man I just looked back at that run. Beating a #3 seed, a #1 seed and a #2 seed just to make it to the SB and then defeating another #2 seed. Not to mention the last 2 must win regular season games. I'll certainly take the #1 seed and the bye over what they had to do but it was a heck of a ride.

Very glad we wrapped up the #1 seed. I'm a little irritated that the Packers aren't on TV where I live (Indiana) this week, because I'd like to see Jordan Love in action. Oh well. It's been a good year, GB has been on TV 15 out 17 games, that's pretty amazing.

Indiana is a short drive to Detroit and they probably will be giving tickets away, just saying.

While it's true that home teams didn't fare that much better in 2021 than last season the Packers are 8-0 at Lambeau. I don't think it makes a whole lot of sense to put any stock in other teams records at home.

But, there is some "magic" in our home record over the years.

If anyone missed it, that's 76-18-2 at home over the last decade. If that's not home cooking, I haven't got a clue what is.

I can attest to that. I don't have season tickets, but a good friend does and I am his go to when his wife can't or doesn't want to attend. Which in the last several years is quite often. I have yet to attend a game that the Packers lost. This year I added my lone road game and a win (barely) in Cincinnati to that. I want to say its like 20 some games. It has gotten to the point where all the people we tailgate with cheer when they see me get out of the truck, talk about the streak and tease my buddy that he needs to leave his wife at home.

So yes...there is some magic to Lambeau and it isn't just me!

What's important now imho is who The Pack plays first in the playoffs.

The lowest seed left after the first round? ;)

Always seems to be one "upset" in that first round. I'll be fine with playing the team that knocks out the Cowboys, Rams or Buccaneers. :)

That's how I'm feeling... and it's also nice to remember that we've already beaten half of the NFC playoff teams we could face.
Though, to be fair, a couple of those were ultra-close (but, road games too, for that measure)

Yup and I could be wrong, but I thought I read that the Packers have played the 4th toughest schedule. So all those Skip Bayless's out there that just can't admit that Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are pretty good.....

Well I don’t know how your personal finances are looking but I think you owe it to Packer fans everywhere to buy your Super Bowl tickets now. :D

LOL.....someone at the Viking tailgate party said they were going to start a GoFundMe for the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl is a definite Bucket List and I have people out in CA I can stay with, but man just the price of a ticket is really hard to justify.

Holy buckets! The cheapest ticket for the Super Bowl is $7,158...endzone, upper deck.

No excuse not to make it to the SB this year. Last year I wasn't all that confident once I found out we were playing the Bucs. No team this year that has whooped us early in the season will be playing us in the playoffs. If they don't get it done this year and win the whole damn thing then idk. I give up emotionally lol

The Saints haven't been eliminated yet, they have a 39% chance of making it in. I actually would welcome the chance to play them again. I don't think they or the Packers are the same teams that we saw in Week 1.

I misread Pokers post and thought he was talking about HF advantage in general.

But then again I did say this When looking at one game I'd definitely want home field advantage. Especially in the playoffs.
