The end of your post is as much speculation as you claim the link contains.

This is on his "official" website. I'm sure if it was way over the line wrong, he wouldn't stand for it. The "rumor" was substantiated about the only way it could be by the moderator of the OFFICIAL Brett Favre forum.

I believe this fully. Count me in for hook, line and sinker. These are the type of stories, like said in that thread, the media knows about but will never report.

By the way, I got a good laugh out of the Arrigo comment. That guy is one of the biggest phonies I've ever seen. Ever.

The moderator said he could neither confirm nor deny the post. Just because you "don't deny" something that doesn't make 100% truth. That being said I am sure there is at least some truth to this, but I think it has more to do with getting Randy Moss than getting offensive weapons in general.
Here's a tip about good moderators. They want to generate hits on their site.
So even if he knew it wasn't true, he'd say he couldn't deny to attract attention to their website.

but this so called "moderator" isnt like that...When he posts something you can bank on it

This is some silly, silly ****. I'm starting to despise these "Favre rules, Green Bay sucks" Packers fans as much as I do Vikings or Bears fans.

Yeah, Brett Favre endorses and backs every statement made on that forum. That's why it's the OFFICIAL BRETT FAVRE FORUM.

At least all the trolls have a place to go.

Nice, yep we are one healthy fan base and team. Because opinions differ we have our own worst enemy. Those viking and bear fans that visit this site must get great humor from us.

The draft hit a new boiling point and if you believe this is the only site with the divided opinions, sorry your incorrect. I was in a sports bar this past weekend and a actual fist fight ensued over this very matter.

This isn't a new thing, it has been like this since Sherman came aboard. But with each year that passes it seems to get worse. I was reading some of the posts last night on this board and it became apparent that this CRAP will continue.

Now getting people to dispise each other over a game and a team that we all support. Albeit our viewpoints may be different, at the end of the day we are fans of the Green & Gold.

Yes... it has become sad times, not because we aren't winning, but because we are becomming divded.

Bring back the 80's and 90's, at least then we were a bunch of loveable fans.

This moderator didn't say ANYTHING. Saying you can not deny something, but can't confirm it? Give me a break. It's a ploy to get attention and its working. Marvelous work.

Spreading unfounded rumors about Favre retiring because he hates TT isn't "showing support". That's something a troll Vikings fan would do.

I don't have to like every Packers fan. Come on. And I highly doubt my post is proof of our unhealthy fanbase. If someone rubs me the wrong way, that's all there is to it. It's not a judgement on the state of our franchise.

your slapping the kids in the face when you say they are garbage because they are young. its stupid...not one person including brett favre has seen these kids get extensive time in the NFL.

how can you guarentee we wont win NOW. you cant. we went 8-8 last year...improving from 4-12. with more experience on the player AND coaching level.... we should improve more. brett knows that. TT knows that. MM knows that. some of us here know that.

TT wants to win now.

Biggest bunch of speculation I've heard (and I've read Arrigo on more than one occasion!).

First of all, Brett is a smart man. He realizes Ted's style is to build by youth, and there was a very good chance we wouldn't do anything this off-season. If he still came back despite that, I'd have to think that Brett wasn't banking his decision on the acquisition of one player.

If Brett was, then Brett is a fool. More so, Ted isn't the type of guy to say "Yup Brett, Imma go get Moss". Ted is very shrewd, and I think he said something like "Hey Brett, if it makes sense for us to go get Moss, we'll try to get him over here".

Basically, Brett is smart enough to have known that there was no guarantee of a 'big off-season acquisition' happening under Ted. We the fans knew it, the media personnel knew it, and judging by some player comments, they expected it also.

He didn't come back just because of Moss, and he won't get pissed off to the point where he'd want to learn another new offense this late in his career just because we didn't get one player.

I'm sorry, but in my opinion as a Packer fan for at least 30 years, and a guy who loved to play football, even though I never played at the college level, I played flag for bars and tackle with friends well into my thirties, I feel TT will eventually be fired, he will be known as the worst GM in Green Bay history, and will always be known as the guy who sold out Brett Favre.

I feel last years draft could have been better. I see so many people talking about last years draft. I love Hawk, but I am not sold on GJ, no way. Remember, we passed on chad jackson and took GJ. Let's see 5 years from now who is better, GJ or Chad Jackson, b/c right now its a horse a piece.

To me that is part of the misconception... MOST of the people that have opinions not in 100 percent support of all his moves or direction don't hate TT nor any of the players. Not all but most. And not all the people that defend TT believe he hasn't made mistakes. But we have become so emotionally attached to this issues and this team we are blinded at times.

The anger bleeds in some of these posts, and I am sorry that is not what it should be about.

We don't have to like or agree with everyone on this board, but aren't we on the same team?

We lost Green, and I don't see how we improved. I just don't see it. I'm not pissed about Moss, I think we made a huge mistake letting J-Walk out oF Green Bay.

I personally know who is saying these things about what a "certian player" said. I also personally know his relationship to the "certain player". I would bank HEAVELY on what he said. But he did say that Favre remarked about being traded while he was very upset. Favre is old fashion. A deal is done with a handshake and your word is your honor. Listening to what David said, apparently TT promised to get Brett help on the offensive side of the ball. It hasn't happened yet and that is what Brett is upset about.

However, the season has not started yet.... At this time last year I believe we hadn't signed anyone yet either....
Yeah Trippster.........as you know, i know the guy too. He's the one that permanently BANNED me from the site. I lost all respect for the guy after the way he mistreated me. You and Heather are a few of the ones that know the WHOLE story.
Anyway..........I'm sure what he said was true. I think he enjoys being the "inside" guy that everyone runs to. Lots of power in that position.

Brett Favre made his decision to return way earlier than in the last couple of years and far ahead of any vision or assumption of what the Packers were going to do in the off-season.

Why?

Because Brett Favre saw "the most talented team I've been apart of" although the "youngest team I've been a part of" HOLD IT'S OWN out there last year.

He knows just by the shear numbers of young players from last year that this team will be BETTER because so many young players now have some PT and experience under their belts.

He saw the upside in the way the team finished and has been around enough football to know this team is going to get better ON IT'S OWN and any additions will be a plus, and yes, positive additions are expected.

So many here are so bent that "this is the team" when we are actually MONTHS away from "this is the team". Anybody here that thinks TT won't spend the money available to make this team better and to help it win NOW, yes NOW, is an idiot.

Brett knew what he knew when he made the decision to return early on. He knew who was on this team AT THE TIME and that was enought to go on. He's been around too long to make decisions on what he doesn't know and assumptions.

He's a lot smarter than that.

 Good post and I agree. I'll buy ya a beer for this post :packbeer:

But Brett hasn't said anything... so this is as much speculation as the thread from another board...

Not being negative, but how does anyone know what Brett was thinking or agreed to.

Brett is a lot smarter than that? You're talking about the guy who is a few picks shy of the NFL interception record. You're talking about the guy who throws more picks of the stupid variety than Aaron Brooks ever will.

If you think Brett Favre is comfortable with everything that is an opinion.

Who knows what he really thinks but I buy the rumor.

Tom Brady is smarter than Brett Favre will ever be and look at the comments he made when his team shipped Deion Branch to Seattle. He was none too happy and let the world know about it. I admire that.

So, if Tom Brady, who is smarter than Brett Favre, is able to state issues of disgust with his franchise I have no reason to believe Brett Favre wouldn't do the same. Favre's clock is ticking and he sees the sands going through the hourglass. Flash back to Solider Field on that final game Sunday night. He knows the end is near and to watch his organization not give him help I would think just has to hurt a little.

One more point on Brett being too smart. He certainly wasn't smart enough to keep his mouth shut when Javon Walker wanted a new contract. Now, he's allegedly complaining about lack of weapons? Walker was a true star and we replaced him with... ? Greg Jennings? Had he only kept his mouth shut and stayed out of someone else's financial business Walker might still be lighting it up for Favre and the Pack.

So now Brett Favre is an idiot because he spoke his mind?

The same Brett Favre that threw all the passes that Walker caught. The same Brett Favre that went through the learning curve of 101 pass receiving in the NFL with a wideout that was OVERPAID the first three years of his contract but really didn't want to talk about that?

Oh, that Brett Favre. Yeah, he's a moron that's for sure.

I think before you start going around talking about who's smarter than who you ought to take that fat foot out of your mouth and start making some sense.

Lemme see here...Favre is about t break EVERY major passing record, and yet some members cannot figure out that if you throw more passes, you will also throw more INTS.

These people make my brain hurt!

Just look at INT's per attempt. That's a far better measure of their susceptibility to throwing INT's.

Is anyone going to argue that Brett Favre does NOT throw some of the dumbest interceptions in the history of the game?

You want me to make sense? Would you like someone commenting publicly about your financials? No.

Hey, I'm thrilled Brett felt that way about Walker's contract situation. He just shouldn't have commented about that publicly. How about a call to Javon? Do you realize this is the reason Javon said he'd never play for Green Bay again?

I am making sense. The same people who are upset Brett has no weapons are the same people who have no issue with him poking his nose, publicly, into Javon Walker's business. If you have no problem with one of your co-workers running around bashing you saying you don't deserve a raise, when you feel you do, then perhaps you should re-think who is making sense here.
