Football is the ultimate team game and Rodgers continues to show his total inability to grasp this. He screwed this team all off season, they came out flat and got their *** handed to them week #1. Now the team has one loss (as do 3 other NFC teams) and Rodgers smug smartest guy in the room ego has him ineligible to play. He got his “medical advice” from a comedian’s podcast. Now he’s lamenting being a victim of wokeness, cancel culture, and invoking MLK? I don’t want to hear anybody throwing shade on Tom Brady. At least he’s a winner. Rodgers is a nutjob prima donna and a loser.
Are you actually a football fan or is the soap opera stuff from the sports writers what interests you? A loser?

"I have followed every single protocol to a T -- minus that one I just mentioned”…. In other words, he chose not to get vaccinated, and he chose not to follow the rules the NFL and players association agreed to follow to keep players safe. I want to hear the “packer people” crowd square his “I only follow the rules I agree with behavior”. Aaron Rodgers smug prima donna attitude has adversly affected the team… period. How people support that is beyond me.

The more truth that comes out on this subject of Aaron’s vaccinations? I mean the lies about him supposedly getting them and then pointing at everyone else like they are subordinates.
I’m becoming very dismayed at the level of deceit in our FO and from our QB and obviously other players who knew this was going on. There is an entire group of people complicit in this cover up, including several coaches.
I’ve been researching this and Aaron Rodgers didn’t just blatantly lie, he’s put himself above the NFL. He’s also put himself above his team, his staff and this entire organization including us fans.

That’s just the start. Through his proven and recorded deceptions, Aaron Rodgers has endangered the health and livelihood all those who have come into contact with him. Unless he explicitly warned them ahead of time. He posed as a vaccinated person and hundreds of people have potentially had their health compromised in his pre-planned deception ruse.
He actually thinks he’s that smart, but he gets the idiot of the year award. He is being brought low and this isn’t by chance. This is what happens when years of lies catch up with you and it’s just getting started. This is the start of the results of a prideful, arrogant and deceptive man.

A tree is known by its fruit and his fruit is rotten to the core.

Aaron Rodgers stands to have our entire team aggressively punished because of HIS selfish snd deceptive behavior. Many members in this coaching staff and FO are involved also.

This is a huge stain on the Green Bay Packers and I’m not sure how much more drama I can take. This is not the team I’ve supported for 50 years and it’s the mark of a dishonorable guy that even now can’t stop himself. It’s like watching a train wreck in slo-mo as it runs over a crowd of people.

Get Jordan Love in there!
I don’t care if we go 7-10!!!

PS. I can forgive the guy and hope he or all those he’s infected recover. But I don’t need to hang out with him any longer either.
Agreed, but your points are valid even without the vaccination issue. Rodgers is not a Packer and should have been shown the door years ago

You mean all the people he hugged and kissed after games? This guy is off the rails. He followed all the rules he agreed with? Hey so did Josh Gordon

If the rules were supposedly broken when he was off NFL/Packer property and on his own time, then more power to him.

You really should look for sources and research outside of the CDC and US in general. WAY too many people have blind trust in government agencies that enjoy the power they wield. As far as posing a threat, where do you think he likely got it? The probability is very high that he got it from Adams, who was vaccinated! He hasn't endangered anyone any more than Adams did. And by the way, of what "cover up" do you speak? He never told anyone he was vaxxed.

Huh? AGAIN there was NO mandate! HE had a choice! This isn't arguing about "rights" when there is NO mandates or protocol by the nfl!!! Also he didn't have to disclose his vaccine status. Doesn't matter anyway he was on the same list as those VACCINATED. But he is the villain now? Hah!

BTW the argument about being right or wrong highlights my point about the hypocrisy from the pro-vaxxers.
Seriously dude, you are like baby sitting my 5 year old nephew. You pretend to be listening and act like you understand something and then you say things that prove you actually don't understand it and then you throw a temper tantrum when its explained a second or third time.

I'm following swhitset's lead and am done trying to explain things to you.

Who here is old enough to remember 40-50 years ago in grade school getting vaccinated for polio,
and other vaccinations without a choice to get vaccinated or not??

You walk in school, stood inline, and that was it, no questions ask.

A different world out there today with everyone having chooses.
You were about 350 times more likely to die from polio than the covid.

Of course it did. Just as when we have discussed CTE, kneeling for the anthem, BLM, etc. I just find it comical as well as quite annoying, that when discussions veer into the "uncomfortable" range for you and a few others when it comes to something like Covid, you want to censor, put a bubble over the discussion and shut it down. If people are offended by the discussion, which for the most part was rather civil, given the subject matter, then don't go back to the thread. One of the mods posted a nice post discussing the loss of a friends wife due to covid. I didn't have a problem reading that, it brings reality into a situation that some think is fantasy.

Yes this is a sports Forum, but if all you want to discuss is Football in a bubble, good luck.
Like any other topic, can people remain civil? Can the gifs of middle fingers and other childish jabs end?

If so then maybe it can continue.

Well, that is beyond the scope of my argument. My argument was just pointing out the hypocrisy from the media and some on here attacking him for not being vaccinated. Anyway...good post about the guidelines for the vaccinated/non-vaccinated.

I'm fine with Rodgers not being vaccinated, he definitely shouldn't have let everyone believe he was though.

It's pretty obvious to me that #12 is nothing more than an attention *****. To me, this proves that he will stoop to any low to accomplish that. I am sick of seeing his stupid grin, his stupid hair and his smirky face everywhere on TV, the internet and God only knows where else. Thanks for ruining my Sundays watching the Packers. He makes me want to puke my guts out. Go far away halloween boy. I am so over the idiot. Sorry for sugar coating my opinions.

Rodgers has been the most efficient quarterback of all time for most of his career. If your Sundays were ruined by him wait until the Packers have to start an average quarterback at some point.

I hope the NFL suspends him (they should) …. Let’s start the Love era, good news is Rodgers has played “ok” so maybe we can get a couple draft picks for him

The trade deadline passed on Tuesday, there's no way for the Packers to trade Rodgers at this point.

Rodgers is a nutjob prima donna and a loser.

There have been other Packers players ineligible to play because of COVID-19 as well. For some random reason nobody was up in arms about them missing a game.

Did you watch his performance in last years NFCCG? (And other playoff debacles). How many rings does Brady have?

The stat line from last year's NFCCG:

Rodgers 33-48, 346 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
Brady 20-36, 280 yards, 3 TD, 3 INT

Yet somehow you keep to continue to act as if Brady performing at a superior level was the reason the Bucs won that game.

Agreed, but your points are valid even without the vaccination issue. Rodgers is not a Packer and should have been shown the door years ago

The Packers are 33-7 over the past 2 1/2 seasons with Rodgers starting yet he should have been shown the door years ago??? OMG

You mean all the people he hugged and kissed after games? This guy is off the rails. He followed all the rules he agreed with? Hey so did Josh Gordon

It's ridiculous to compare Rodgers to Gordon by any means.

What medical studies do you suggest?
Oh boy. This should be fun! :coffee:

He lied shout being vaccinated it’s on video so we need not guess anymore. In doing so he has misrepresented himself and our entire team. I’m not condemning the guy to eternal hell. But I can call out a brother when he’s caught lying and what’s worse he’s attempting to cover it up real time.
Just for once fess up. Say you lied we all do it! He’s making it much much worse and I’m cringing at what the league does to our team.
He deserves to sit out several weeks. I don’t care about winning if we can’t play by the leagues rules. We must hold ourselves to the standards we hold everyone else to. Countless teams have screwed up and paid the price. It’s our turn to plead guilty as charged, take a fine or suspension and move on.

Glad Love is getting his chance because of this Rodgers blunder. It is what it is. It’s not like I’m happy we’re dealing with this. He reminds me of my extended family and I’m tired of it! ;)

Irrespective of his personal views, it's just sucks that he jeopardized (pun intended) a Superbowl opportunity for reasons that sounds mostly made up.

If we end up missing #1 seed simply due to this, he should shoulder bulk of the blame.

When we won it last we were the last seed. I think it is more about peaking at the right time. Even more than injuries...depending on who is injured. That sure looked like what tampa did last year.

Sure. Many ways to win it, but easiest us probably to get the #1 seed. Imagine if he had caught the virus later.

If we still had the old ratings, I would give this a "Winner" rating.

WOW, how ironic! Haha Bottom line is none of you could explain why he is the only one on that Covid list being vilified or questioned if he followed guidelines. It's the same rebuttal that he was irresponsible or some other nonsense that we don't "get it(or insults)." So let me clarify again the word "mandate" is significant in this matter as he was free to decide if he wanted to get vaccinated or not. Whether he followed guidelines prior to getting covid could also apply to those on that Covid list.

So bottom line, to make it easy for you vaxxers to understand, is that you are mad he didn't get VACCINATED even though he didn't have to. Just admit it!

I honestly honestly honestly believe it’s Rodgers or anyone else’s right to not get vax’d. Nobody should be forced to, and nobody ever has. That doesn’t mean there aren’t consequences for that refusal. I was in the Army for 24 years. I had to get I would guess well over 100 shots. People who chose not to were shown the door. Same as is going on now. Rodgers chose to not be vax’d because he says he’s allergic to something in the Moderna and Phizer… who knows. (The WSU coach chose not to get Vax’d changed his tune multiple times, finally hung his hat in his religious beliefs as a Catholic…. Only thing is the leader of his church… Christ’s representative on earth according to his belief… said… get vax’d!!) But he lets on as if he is vaccinated and refuses to follow the rules his employer demands to continue to come to work unvaccinated putting other people at increased risk. And yes I do believe the guidance put out by the career medical and scientific professionsls at the CDC is the best medical and scientific available at that time. Certainly better than what some Comedian pumps out on a podcast based on what he’s gleaned from researching blogs. Do I trust “the government”? Yes…. As an entity I do. WE The People ARE “the government”. Doesn’t mean there aren’t bad actors who get in there, just like there are bad cops, bad clergy members, bad scout leaders etc. End of the day Rodgers is an idiot, but lot’s of people are idiots, that’s not really a huge deal. His idiotic behavior is having a significant negative impact on the GBP football team and that is a huge deal. Rolling out this head case behavior probably decreases his trade value too, which is a real bummer. As far as Rodgers vs Brady in last years NFCCG or big games in general for that matter. Brady found a way to win, Rodgers did not. When his D handed him the ball 3 times in the second half he came up short. Rodgers has great stats, Brady has rings. People said it was all Belechik…. So he goes and wins another one first time out of the gate with a new team new coach. If it’s not GB I hope he does it again THIS year
