I don't understand why you guys are so in love with Campbell, he's maybe the 5th-8th best WR in the position group this year, and I'd probably put Ridley ahead of him. So why you guys would take him over Harry, Metcalf, M. Brown, A. Brown, and Morgan Jr at 12th overall is beyond me.
I feel like at OSU all he did was run go routes and deep posts with the occasional sweep and outrun everyone. The NFL has faster athletes with even better technique which will negate that to some extent. All I see is a speed guy who ran a limited route tree and had some issues with dropped passes. I'd rather not draft a speedier but less refined J'Mon Moore.
For the record I don't hate Campbell, I just don't think he's worthy of the 12th Overall, 32nd would depend on how many WRs were already off the board. I wish he had gotten an invite to one of the All-Star games(how does Hunter Renfrow get an invite to the Senior Bowl and he doesn't?) which would change my tune if he perfomed but he didn't. Just have to wait and see at this point.
He had 90 receptions for over a 1000 yards and 12 TD's in a loaded Ohio State offense. He single handedly blew Michigan out of the building. His production plus talent merits a 1st round consideration. His route running has drastically improved in 2018. The only knock on him is his blocking. This guy has improved every year and worked his tail off to improve both pass catching and route running. That's exactly what you want to see in a prospect is someone developing and getting better every year
I have him as the 3rd best receiver coming out. I also am not advocating to pick him 12. I want him at 32 or a traded back 12th pick if Packers acquire Antonio Brown with 32 pick. Cobb is as good as gone so PC would fill an immediate need while upgrading the position at the same time in the slot.
