The only think that prognosticators find "******" about our FA conduct is the fact that TT did not go out, like the Queens, and grossly overpay for players. How dare he approach the process with logic and steadfastness.

You're denying reality again Pack...Brett WILL NOT BE HERE NEXT YEAR...HE EVEN SAID SO! No sense in working on a 2 year plan, not a whole lot of sense in building a team around brett for one year either.

No he won't and he made his statement about it. I wonder why ? Oh yeah, thanks TT !!!

I think the progs know a few things.

1-TT SAYS he wants Favre back.

2-Favre basically says what it would take to get him back.

3-TT has the money to make this happen.

4-TT doesn't make this happen.

5- TT is a lying sack of **** with regard to #1.

This is why Green Bay is the laughing stock of the league right now.

.

so, with 2, I assume that means Brett wants protection so he doesnt get killed. I understand that. Makes sense to me. And with 3, TT DOES have the money to make that happen, and get some good FA guards with his money.

but my problem is with 4.

You're right, he isnt making it happen.

He IS NOT getting talented FA guards!

now why is that? Doesnt he want to bring back brett and help the offense in general?

Oh yeah

you neglected a huge fact

which you do often

THERE ARE NO GOOD GUARDS IN FREE AGENCY!

Why is that hard?

Oh yeah

Sure he wants him back, but at what cost to the future to ramp up for one year instead of building the team for the long haul? Sdaly, this is how a GM has to think.

Everything has a cost, DePack. I would love a slice of chocolate cake right now, but am not willing to spend $10 for it....or ruin my appetite for the porterhouse that will be thrown on the grill in a few hours.

Yep, all Brett wants is a couple of guards to go with his 5-11 season. Crack logic again. He said he wants to win, guards alone wouldn't do that.

does he want a running game?

Ahman\GADO!\Najeh

Because we have one.

Does he want some good WRs?

Javon\Driver\Gardner\Boreigter are pretty good(javon is here until further notice)

So we have WRs...oh, and we also have Franks and Lee, who are some of his favorite targets.

Does he want a good defense?

Because we have some better players on the D, which was the strength of last years team. We DO have a new DC, but he was on the team last year, and has worked with Bates for multiple years, and is keeping the same scheme.

but yeah...crack logic....whatever you say, boss.

1. Your original post talked about guards and guards only
2. Cmon man, our RBs are the like the whos who or infirmary reports. Javon can't be counted on at this point. He'll do anything to get out of GB. Franks is a red zone threat/good blocker and little more. He's never posted great numbers for receptions or yards. The D is not great. Its better but not great. A lot of the reason why we didn't allow too many yards is because of all the turnovers in our own territory and teams running the clock out on us. They ranked 19th in points allowed. If they were truly a great D we wouldn't have lost 12 games.

Favre wanted an improved overall team, and I don't think you can argue that there weren't any players in FA that would have improved the team, most of which TT didn't even make a run at. I agree that you don't want to spend money just for the sake of it, but letting cap room go to waste doesn't do us any good either.

At this point if TT spends the rest of the cap space on what is remaining he should be fired.

The laughing stock? Those who are laughing are those who do not matter. Packer fans stand by their team. What team do you root for?

Because we are sick and tired of watching TT's inactivity game in FA and "victim act" regarding the "Favre situation" all on account of the fact that TT doesn't have the balls to tell Favre to his face that he is not in his "divine plan" for the Green Bay Packer organization....

If you can't understand that these two are using the media to play a game of high stakes poker in front all of us...then I can't help you....

imo...TT is purposely not doing the things that he knows Favre would want him to do in FA to force Favre's hand to either quit or retire....because he's really NOT in TT's plans...

TT is playing the victim by stating through the press last week that.."Yeah..it would be alot easier if we knew what he (Favre) was going to do..."

Favre is trying to force TT's hand by saying he wants to come back to a Green Bay Packer team that is committed to winning NOW....

It's high noon fella's....

(We just don't know who is gonna draw first....)

(enter Ennio Morricone spaghetti western music...)

Noones playing Poker Pack66. TT is not the bad guy and neither is Brett. Brett is taking his time and TT's NOT forcing his hand. The ungrateful, impatient fans and media are trying to force it for him.
