Didn't Murphy say recently something to the effect of he didn't have someone in mind? Either he has a plan or he doesn't ; more and more this guy sounds to me like he doesn't know wtf is going on and doesn't care to know.
Or he's sending out a smoke screen that is in effect "I'm not going to tell you so stop asking."

Atlanta, Dallas , Seattle, NE, Steelers, Texans ( With a QB), Raiders are all better. They may not have a better QB. I do believe they have a better " team".

Ted Thompson will end up being remembered for failure rather than success. He's done nothing to improve that atrocious D. It's his way or the highway.

Uhh excuse me now, I'm curious as to what Seahawks, Dallas and Houston teams you're talking about, cuz they sure ain't the 2016 teams that all lost to the Pack during the 8-game winning streak. I mean good god, that same Houston Texans team that only gets into the playoffs at 9-7 cuz their division is a shitpile? Curious to know what kinda ****** you been smoking bud - use a pun if you want.

As to the Raiders, hey I've been one of their most outspoken praisers as thinking they may finally have it, but damn, their first winning season in 14 years and all the sudden they've become better than us? Lord knows I hope they keep it up, but their defense has been about the same as ours. Plus what have they got to do with anything? They're in a different conference and we don't even play em until 2019, unless us and them both make the Superbowl, which by the way would be an awesome game to watch.

Yeah duh the Pats are better (for obvious reasons, though their accomplishments rank above every other nfl team's too though, so that's just that.) The Steelers? Well, ok I'll play but even Tomlin and Roethlisberger's tenure has seen hits and misses on the playoffs. Atlanta certainly was the better team this last year, no argument there, but whether that can continue is a huge "?", considering Kyle Shannahan is now gone, coming off a superbowl hangover, plus their history of sustaining success hasn't been good. Not saying they won't be good this next year, but I'd be a little surprised if losing the Superbowl the way they did didn't have at least a bit of an effect.

Now as to this next season, hey I'm certainly holding TT accountable, and I certainly hope Rodgers stays playing like he did in this win streak and doesn't go back to his 2015-early2016 hangover mode, and this defense had better get improved, I can understand that. But writing the whole damn 2017 season off before this offseason has started and actually calling the Houston Texans a better team than us, that's just wack and I'm telling it like it is. We can hold Ted Thompson accountable and express disapproval with him, I got no beef with that. But I do take issue with delusions.

Texans are a SB threat with a QB. No question about it. Seahawks have a better D and overall " team".

Rodgers is part of the "team" though.

I'm saying Rodgers is the best QB. We've seen that having an elite QB doesn't equal a SB appearance. It's a " team" effort. Until Thompson gets a D without heartless players like Matthews, junk like Martinez, Rollins, Etc...well were doomed.

Ok, some of those I can see. But in trying to say that the Texans are a better team, it would seem you must totally ignore the quarterback positions

Ummm no and no, Texans O is mediocre at best, I mean aside from Hopkins they aren't loaded down with playmakers at WR. And please do explain how a team that we throttled by 28 POINTS is a better team. Puhhlleeeaaaasssseeeee, enough of these delusions. What a stupid stupid post. I mean "Texans are a SB threat with a QB," well so are the Cleveland Browns. SMH.

By your logic, Redskins are a better team than the Packers.

I'm a Packers fan. Also realistic. This isn't a SB team as we stand today.

Well they did beat us, but I'll let where they finished in the playoffs and where we did speak for itself. We may not be a SB team yet somehow the Seahawks with that vomatrocious O-line and only half-life defense are? Sounds to me like it's you that has problems living in reality sonny.

Okay leave out Seattle. Dallas, Atlanta are better. Minnesota & Detroit could challenge us for the division.

Every season has its own dynamics with new players on the roster and some old standbys gone. Team chemistry, injury situations and player development situations are different every season. The key to a super bowl run is developing momentum, enthusiasm and chemistry as the season progresses and find that magic groove as you get into the playoff season. A little luck along the way helps as well. The problem is, 31 other teams are trying to do the same thing.

Any team that makes it to the conference championship game can readily be described as a SB caliber team.

Saying "well without Rodgers we aren't though that's what I mean" doesn't change the fact that we were one game away from the SB this past season. It'd be like saying Pittsburgh isn't a SB caliber team without Big Ben. No duh. Doesn't change the fact that he is part if the team

I hate it when I see that "without Rodgers" stuff. He's our QB because he was drafted and developed by us. He was not a Elway, Manning or Luck can't miss guy coming out of college.

Rodgers was being debated as the first pick in the draft. To me, by definition, that is a can't miss guy.

He was debated by the media as the #1 pick, but if he was a top prospect in the tradition of Luck, Manning, Elway etc. he would never have slid to pick #24.

Mel Kiper once argued that Manti Te'o would go #1 overall (lol).

Matt Barkley was projected to be the #1 pick by a ton of pundits.

One thing that kind of annoys me is when TT is stripped by some of the credit for taking Rodgers because they act like it was a no brainer move, similar to when Grigson had the top pick when Andrew Luck was in the draft.

If it was such a no brainer, why did Rodgers get past 23 other teams?
