For what it is worth TN passed on Davis's fifth year option no? Speaks to whether he is in the plans or not.

Of the guys listed I'm gonna go Snacks Harrison. I want a run stuffing specialist at this point. Give me a guy that he knows his role isn't to blitz or pressure, he is in on first and/or second do his run assignments and tackle the runner....if no run eyes up and clog passing lanes is a bonus.

I think Kenny Stills makes more sense than any of the other names floated out there.

He adds the speed dimension that the offense lacks.

His cost isn't prohibitive.

He's a rental that wouldn't complicate extensions for Clark, Bakhtiari, or Jones.

His cost to acquire from the Texans should be lower than the cost to acquire Samuel, Davis, or Smith-Schuster because he's older (without being too old).

Actually with teams being allowed to roll over unused cap space paying Stills $7 million this season would leave the Packers with approximately $6.5 million less in cap space to spend next offseason.

If we are going to get super particular, they don't currently have that 7M to roll over. They'd have to create it to accommodate Stills.

But what I was referring to was the fact that he's in a contract year and the cost to acquire him wouldn't be so great as to necessitate an extension. They could probably pick him up, use him for a season, and then let him go.
