They don't finish people when they get up on them big. No killer instinct. Remember Brady and the Patriots back in the day? Up 21 nothing? Make it 28 nothing. Up 28 nothing? Make it 35 nothing. Up 35 nothing? Make it 42 nothing. This group always has to make it interesting.
And please stop with the acting like you're going for the 4th down. Everybody knows you're not you're just looking to draw an off sides just like they know the Lions will be going for it. I'll bet if they actually did go for it once it would work.

And if they wouldn't have gotten points, everyone would be trashing MLF.... Damned if you do, damed if you don't. I'm playing to win, not be cute. 3 score game with 1 quarter to go, and a backup QB on the otherside... give me points. Maybe in a different scenario, but not this one tonight.

I could have gone either way on it. I admit there was a part for me that wanted to see them to go all Dan Campbell and go for it, but I think the right call was made.

This team has been kicked around a lot this year, consistently falling short of expectations. They've come out of some really tough games feeling like they just can't seem to put it together and do anything right, but right now they're riding high - on the crest of a wave, feeling like they're on top of the world. They need very badly to finish this game feeling that way.

I think the best move was to play it safe and not risk messing that up. Don't risk letting the air out of these kids.
