Not sure what you are renegotiating. He has base salaries of 10M the next 3 years so everything on the cap hit is guaranteed money. There is nothing to renegotiate to drive down the dead money hit. Unless you ask Love to give money back and well.. that's not happening.

So.. not sure what is being renegotiated that will result in there not being massive cap hits the next few years.
I guess wishful thinking

I agree with many of the points people have made here today. There are a few golden rules in football-one of them is it all starts up front. Packers are weak up front. They can't move anybody off the ball. You ever wonder why Love is always in pistol or shotgun formation? He needs the time. If he was under center going back to pass, by the time he took a five or seven step drop he'd be getting killed. Rogers and Farve knew it too. You're always running out of the pocket to extend the play so receivers had time to get open. Love's not as good as them ai that. This goes back to the Ted Thompson philosophy of I can make offensive lineman in the 5th 6th and 7th rounds. Guty subscribes to tha, but it's not gonna make you a power football team. They need offensive lineman that are tough. The same with the interior of the D line, they need toughness. On the outside, you need animals with speed. Gotta get it done up front These 7 losses have shown you they're not getting it done up front. You can draft all the wide receivers and running backs in the world, they're all gonna get injured if Love is back there rushing his throws. throwing off target. receivers are leaping all over the place getting smashed around. It just doesn't work. Start up front. At the least rebuild that O Line!
