Agreed; I don't see the Cards letting Jones get away, they paid a high price for him and he's too important to them. The point for me isn't so much getting top of the food chain guys- although if you have a shot at a premium talent such as Jones, you go for it- but getting good veteran players in here, of which they'll be plenty available.

If they kept their own important players and then only made one single FA move, but for a top guy like Stephon Gilmore, I would be good with it. But if that doesn't turn out to be a feasible option, then yes it would be great for them to just address a few areas with reasonable talent so it isn't all down to rookies and developing young players to make the team better than it was in 2016.

Gilmore will likely cost a LOT just so you guys know...

Him and Butler are the only guys I like as the "younger" cornernbacks who will be actually worth the massive payday they will command

ILB definitely needs to be addressed and/or move Clay inside and get another pass rusher
