Must Keep:
-Brandon McManus, K: A victim of me-too hysteria, McManus probably should not have been available to the Packers, but he was and he totally salvaged the kicking situation. They should retain him.
Great at the Right Price:
-Isaiah McDuffie, LB: A limited player, McDuffie seems to maximize his ability on both defense and special teams. He would make a lot of sense as a keeper at the right price in order to maintain some veteran depth behind Walker and Cooper.
-Eric Wilson, LB: Wilson proved to be a value add for the Packers in 2024. He was kept as a ST option, but he played a lot of defense and was competent. I could see bringing him back as a veteran presence if they don't keep McDuffie.
Preferably not, but Possible:
-Josh Myers, C: Myers is a middling starting NFL center. The team has always seemed to like him more than outsiders, but he seems like a dubious investment for FA dollars.
-T.J. Slaton, DT: Slaton is and has always been a really inconsistent player. He played a critical role for the Packers in 2024, but they can likely do better and should look elsewhere.
Let the Walk:
-Andre Dillard: Dillard is a fine backup, but he's very limited-- tackle only (ideally LT) and no ST value. I don't think retention makes a lot of sense.
-A.J. Dillon, RB: This season was obviously a wash for Dillon. He's a useful player, but the ability of the younger guys on the roster makes him expendable.
-Eric Stokes, CB: Who knows what Stokes would have become if he stayed healthy, but the current version is a pretty limited player. He wasn't a disaster, but Hafley was handcuffed in his coverage call options because of the inability of the starting corners.
-Corey Ballentine, CB: Ballentine was a ST regular, but barely saw the field on defense. That doesn't speak well for him, given how poor the starting corners were.
-Robert Rochell, CB: Rochell played even less on defense than Ballentine and he wasn't as much of a ST contributor.
-Tyler Davis, TE: After back-to-back lost seasons, the team has moved on at the position.
